‘Independent’ EPA Study Not So Independent After All 
In May, a new study commissioned by Harvard and Syracuse University claimed that the EPA's soon-to-be-released Clean Power Plan will eliminate around 3,500 pollution-related deaths annually. The celebratory reaction quickly went mainstream. The EPA, whose proposal it already posited will save lives, suddenly had the benefit of an independent verification. Or did it? Writing in Breitbart,
junkscience.com publisher Steve Milloy found that the researchers of said study had personally partaken in various multi-million dollar EPA-funded studies. Furthermore, one author's assertion that the agency "did not participate in the study or interact with its authors" was found to be complete hogwash. Says Milloy, "I submitted a request to EPA under the Freedom of Information Act for email between the study authors and EPA staff. Although subsequent wrangling with agency staff gave me doubt that I would ever get anything, I received, much to my surprise, 99 pages of emails after mere weeks. The emails reveal that [the] study co-authors ... were definitely in contact with key EPA staff regarding this research."

Yet EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy recently postulated, "We can speak to the science because it's complicated and we do a lot of research and we do a lot of translation of the science into what it means for people so that the decisions can be made on the basis of real science and on the basis of a real technical understanding." NOAA Lies About the Warming Hiatus A new report released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the latest issue of the journal "Science" claims the global warming hiatus that began in the late 1990s never actually happened. In fact, according to NOAA, temperatures actually rose twice as high as the previous global scale had predicted or measured. This wouldn't by any chance be an attempt to influence climate treaty talks in Paris later this year, now would it?
“Newly corrected and updated global surface temperature data from NOAA’s [National Centers for Environmental Information] do not support the notion of a global warming ‘hiatus,’” wrote NOAA scientists, contradicting the work of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
The hiatus, which in the scientific community refers to a period in which global surface temperatures appeared to stabilize, has flummoxed climate alarmists. It flies in the face of their exceedingly shrill predictions of extreme global warming — indeed, it's part of the reason they've switched their terminology to "climate change." If there's been no warming, it undermines their calls for ever more drastic measures to combat it, like dismantling the U.S. coal industry, heavily regulating fossil fuel production, and financially burdening the citizens of the world’s richest countries.
By many scientific accounts, temperatures rose during the period of 1998-2013 at a much slower rate than the previous bellwether period between 1950-1998, a time frame during which global surface temperatures supposedly significantly spiked. According to satellite measurements, the most accurate tool we have, temperatures have remained flat — an ongoing trend. HILLY CAN’T HIDE FROM nOBAMACARE
Why would President nObama hold a campaign-style appearance for his five-year-old health law today at a meeting of a health-industry trade group?
In part, it’s because the group represents Catholic hospitals and allows the president to cut against the steady Catholic opposition to his law on moral grounds because of its requirements to cover birth control and the provision of funds for elective abortions. The trade group is very much at odds with the American church’s leadership, but nObama is counting on whatever coverage of the event to cast him as in harmony Roman Catholicism.
Mostly it’s because we expect any day now to find out whether the Supreme Court will – at least temporarily – blow the bottom out of nObamaCare because the administration provided benefits to recipients in states that did not opt in to the program. The speech allows nObama the chance to reinforce his message that the law is immutable.
Republicans, for their part, have pre-conceded the fight. You know you are listening to a Republican in Washington when a win is a loss and a loss is a loss, too. The problem, as usual, is that the GOP cannot agree on what to do. The expectation is that if the court rules against the administration effectively yanking subsidies from more than six million Americans, the president will pummel Republicans on the state and federal level to accept his remedy.
Republicans cannot seemingly agree even on what measure to try to send nObama to trigger a veto and shift some political blame or at least add some negotiating heft. If your party can’t even come to terms on what nature of symbolic failure to offer, good luck on the real thing…
But while the folks at the White House glory in nObamaCare inevitability and Republicans reflexively start grabbing their ankles for another round of health care spankings, what about the most important person in the Democratic Party? Hilly Clinton isn’t saying and doesn’t plan to. Clinton, who in the shadow of the “if you like it, you can keep it” debacle said she wanted to fix what was wrong with the law, has decided that the matter doesn’t need addressing at all. (Her husband was even more explicit.)
Whether (or how) Republicans lose this round is perhaps less important than how voters feel about the system overall in 2016. Once the Supreme Court declared the mandatory purchase of insurance to be constitutionally permissible, it was reasonable to expect the law would largely endure through nObama’s presidency.
But as the news of late has shown, the system is still very much in upheaval. And, just as the president is doing with ISIS, the most serious work will be left for his predecessor. nObama has delayed his original delays of the most painful parts of the law and may do so again before he leaves office.
The assembled polling on the subject shows a slight drop in opposition to the law, but only slight. Overall it shows a country just as worried about health care and its costs as it was in 2008 when nObama ran on the subject – if not more so.
Repairing nObamaCare will be a major topic for the next president. The question for Republicans is whether they will force it to be part of the next presidential campaign or will they let Clinton escape? -Fox News
