{ rickwells.us } ~ Lou Dobbs refers to a statement by Rep Trey Gowdy that has all of the appearances of a misdirection and yet another cover up... for liar-Hillary Clinton and the Democrats, a claim that “Russia was motivated by a desire to specifically hurt liar-Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.” Dobbs notes that the Intelligence Committee, in their 150 page report, found no evidence of that. He asks Chris Farrell about Gowdy, saying, “What in the world is going on with him? He’s slow-walking, he and Bob Goodlatte, their investigation on Oversight and Judiciary, they chair both, of FBI and DOJ corruption. What is going on?” Farrell hasn’t been deceived by the theatrics of either Goodlatte or Gowdy, noting, “Well, Goodlatte is pretty low-energy as far as being a committee chairman is concerned. { spectator.org } ~ The congressional leadership of the GOP seems determined to hand their congressional majorities back to the Democrats... Otherwise, why would they even consider including two liar-nObamacare bailouts — the cost-sharing reduction (CSR) and risk mitigation programs — in the upcoming omnibus budget bill? These bailouts would allegedly reduce future increases in health insurance premiums and incentivize insurers to remain in the liar-nObamacare exchanges. They will accomplish neither, but they will send a clear signal to the voters that the GOP was never serious about getting rid of liar-nObamacare. The taxpayer-funded bailouts would be, in other words, bad policy and worse politics. Beginning with the politics of these bailouts, it should be blindingly obvious to the Republicans that they have a serious enthusiasm gap to close, and that chasm is largely the result of their failure to honor the pledge to repeal liar-nObamacare. That promise fueled Republican gains in the 2010 and 2014 midterms, and it would be an egregious understatement to say that the voters who believed it are extremely unhappy to find themselves still laboring under the yoke of the “Affordable Care Act.” If the Republicans actually prop it up with these bailouts, many of their constituents will stay home on November 6. Police in Schools… Parents Say It’s “Ludicrous”

{ conservativetribune.com } ~ After the deadly Feb. 14 school shooting in Parkland, Florida, many states, cities and school districts across the country... discussed allowing trained teachers to be armed or assigning armed guards and police officers to schools to help bolster school security. New York City, however, has done the exact opposite. It has removed armed officers from public schools in the city, to be replaced by unarmed school safety agents and the occasional visit from armed officers making routine patrols through their communities. “It’s ridiculous,” stated Linda Lovett, co-president of the PTA at Francis Lewis High School in Queens, according to the New York Post. “All over the country they are telling you ‘arm the teachers, get an officer in your school.’ New York City had a designated officer and they are actually cutting the program … they are making us less secure.”....
Trey Gowdy says Russians tried to undermine liar-Hillary Clinton

Trey Gowdy stunned many conservatives when he said he disagreed with the House Intelligence Committee’s assessment... that the Russians did not intend to help President Donald Trump defeat liar-Hillary Clinton. Gowdy said that “based on the evidence, Russia had disdain for Secretary liar-Clinton and was motivated in whole or in part by a desire to harm her candidacy or undermine her presidency had she prevailed.” That could be accurate, but it has also been discovered that Russia coordinated rallies for and against both candidates in an effort to create dissension among Americans. Man who claimed he cremated Natalee Holloway
killed while attempting kidnapping, police say

{ foxnews.com } ~ Authorities in southwestern Florida said Wednesday that a man who claimed he disposed of missing teenager Natalee Holloway's remains in Aruba... was fatally stabbed by a woman he was trying to kidnap. Police in North Port, approximately 60 miles south of Tampa, said 32-year-old John Christopher Ludwick was pronounced dead at a local hospital after 7 a.m. Investigators say Ludwick attacked the unidentified woman in her driveway and was stabbed in the ensuing struggle. The Left Smears the Incoming CIA Director
by Harold Hutchison: With the decision by President Donald Trump to move CIA Director Mike Pompeo to secretary of state came the need for a new CIA director. Gina Haspel, a highly decorated, longtime CIA employee who was involved in covert actions, was chosen for the post. The Left immediately started to smear her. As part of her service to this country in the shadows that are part and parcel of what the intelligence community does to keep us safe, she oversaw a CIA “black site” in Thailand that housed two high-ranking members of al-Qaida, Abu Zubaydah and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri. The latter was a mastermind of the attack on USS Cole (DDG 67). Both were subjected to enhanced interrogation techniques — because they weren’t gonna talk for beer and cigarettes. Haspel was also involved in destroying video evidence of those interrogations. Keeping secrets is, after all, what the CIA does.
The “Gitmo bar” coalition — you know, the folks who make Hanoi Jane look like a bush-league supporter of America’s enemies — is already denouncing her selection. So is Sen. Ron Wyden. Glenn Greenwald, who last year smeared SEAL Team Six, is piling on, as is NSA leaker Edward Snowden. In other words, Haspel has the right opponents.
Haspel was among some American patriots, including José Rodriguez, Dr. James Mitchell and Bruce Jessen, who were handed a very difficult task. They had to get information about pending attacks from terrorists who had no inclination or incentive to cooperate. Contrary to the lies that Sen. Dianne Fein-stein (D-CA) pushed forward in a half-baked report on American “torture,” they succeeded in their mission.
Sadly, Fein-stein teamed up with rino-John McCain to tie the CIA’s hands, and in doing so, left us in today’s situation where our enemies now know our interrogation playbook — in fact, they can readily obtain versions online. It was a dishonorable and ungrateful way to repay the service Haspel and others performed for this country.
It seems that a party once eager to break the glass ceiling has a problem with a woman whose confirmation would break the CIA’s glass ceiling. Quite frankly, that opposition isn’t a disqualification, it’s a résumé enhancement. ~The Patriot Post
