Debunking the Latest Sea Level Scare
Well, so much for sleeping a little easier knowing the earth naturally curbs rising ocean levels by soaking up water like a sponge. Yet another new study says that man-made global warming is causing oceans to rise at an unprecedented rate. As summarized in USA Today, "Global sea levels stayed fairly steady for about 3,000 years. Then, with the Industrial Revolution, global sea levels began to rise, the study said. Scientists say the seas rose 5.5 inches from 1900 to 2000, a significant increase, especially for low-lying coastal areas." That combined with projections of even swifter ocean level rise has alarmists very concerned that our coastal cities will soon be submerged.
But before you begin work on an ark, read the response meteorologist Joe Bastardi had in an email to The Patriot Post: "When I moved to New Jersey in 1965, after the '62 storm, there was fear the barrier islands would be gone by 2000. Well, they aren't. There is constant shifting going on and a 4-8 inch rise in a century is well within natural bounds. Greenland and Antarctica are fine overall." The more important question, he posits, is how were sea levels being measured 50 years ago? Were the same methods used then as they are today? "The PDO/AMO shift coming will retard" the sea level rise, Bastardi says. "When they are warm, as they are now, sea levels are higher." In other words, just like the earth sponge study showed, it's all part of earth's design.

 Barack nObama: Another Castro Brother
Barack nObama has always gravitated toward the worst of humanity, being an apologist and a cheerleader for them, accommodating them and seeking to expand their influence. His upcoming trip to Cuba is par for the course.
He got his political start in the home of radial leftist domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorhn. Frank Marshall Davis, a devout communist (and likely pedophile), was a father figure to him. His mother, father and stepfather all hated America. In his autobiography "Dreams From My Father," nObama spoke of how, as a college student, he gravitated toward Marxist professors and leftist radicals.
Before he ran for president, he spent two decades in the church of the racist, hate-spewing Jeremiah "G-D America" Wright. After being elected president, nObama canceled a missile defense system with our Eastern European allies that would have protected them from Russian aggression. When Iranians took to the streets in peaceful protest following the rigged election of hardliner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, nObama was virtually silent as Iranian police and the Basij (paramilitary) clubbed, kicked, beat, and shot the demonstrators.
Deeply embedded in his ideological DNA, nObama has followed this pattern throughout his presidency. So it was disgusting, but not all surprising, when nObama in 2014 announced that he was reversing decades of U.S. policy regarding the murderous, communist Castro regime, and re-opening the U.S. embassy in Havana as part of a resumption of diplomatic relations. This week, nObama announced that he would be the first U.S. president to visit Cuba since President Calvin Coolidge in 1928 — though that was under far different circumstances.  -The Patriot Post

 OPINION IN BRIEF
Walter Williams: "The first law of thermodynamics, translated into plain English, states that 'there is no such thing as a free lunch.' Conservation of energy is a basic law of physics that cannot be violated. ... Tyrants do not trust free markets and what they imply, voluntary exchange, because people acting voluntarily might not do what the tyrant thinks they should do. That is why they favor compulsion in the forms of tariffs and quotas to stifle peaceable, voluntary exchange with foreigners. By the way, some of the political obfuscation about foreign trade is lifted when we recognize that it is not really nations trading with one another. In other words, the U.S. Congress does not trade with the federal government of Mexico, England's or France's parliaments or Japan's Diet. It's individual Americans who, through private intermediaries, trade with: Mexican Ford manufacturers, English clothing manufacturers, French wine producers and Japanese automakers. Too many Americans believe in the possibility of a free lunch. Politicians exploit that gullibility. The unpleasant task of a good economist is to teach that fundamental principle: One cannot get something for nothing."   -The Patriot Post

Rubio Part Of OUTLAW Govt Violating
Our Laws, Constitution
 Rick Wells
.
.
{rickwells.us} ~ Lou Dobbs starts off by asking Senator Sessions about one of the countless instances in which this country under the criminal nObama administration is not following the law in their handling of illegal aliens... the dumping of 90,000 dangerous criminal illegals back onto our streets. Senator  Sessions describes it as unbelievable and shocking what has been happening to our country, saying “This administration has devastated law enforcement.” He points out that “The Ice Officers, the federal law officers, sued their supervisors and the administration, in effect saying, ‘You have caused us to violate our oaths to enforce the law.’ They are being told by policies and regulations and executive orders throughout this entire system that makes it virtually impossible to create a lawful system of immigration.” Dobbs brings up the dispute between Chris Crane and Senator Marco Rubio. Crane was snubbed during the gang of eight push by Rubio, who has since attempted to discredit him and deny the facts once the public became aware of Rubio’s duplicity.        http://rickwells.us/archives/26477

Libya disaster: Have Western
leaders learned anything?
Pete Hoekstra
.
.
{aim.org} ~ That the U.S. has launched airstrikes against ISIS in Libya should demonstrate once and for all the total disaster of the NATO-led adventure to overthrow Muammar al-Qaddafi in 2011... Libya devolved into a failed state when NATO assisted Qaddafi’s radical jihadist opponents in killing him and then promptly abandoned the country. Left in the wake were two rival governments competing for power, which created space for Islamists to turn Libya into a cesspool of extremism. Former Secretary of State Hilly Clinton continues to call the debacle American “smart power at its best.” Other presidential candidates still argue that it was the right thing to do. How will the West ever learn anything if it can’t identify its most obvious failures?     http://www.aim.org/guest-column/libya-disaster-have-western-leaders...

White Folks Gonna Have To Give Up Stuff,
Sacrifice – For Black Lives Matter
 Rick Wells
.
Marissa Jenae Johnson
.
{rickwells.us} ~ With arguments consistent with those of the race-baiters Hussein nObama and Eric Holder, Black Lives Matter co-founder Marissa Johnson blames white people for everything that’s wrong with her life... When she can’t deal with reality it’s because her reality is too hard. There are lots of white people going hungry; her life seems to be much easier than theirs. She doesn’t want a real reality, she wants a separate, on demand, “more fair reality,” crafted for her by a redistributive Marxist government. She claims that it is white people who are to blame for creating the conditions that “require” a phrase like black lives matter. It’s not because the phrase “I’m getting up off my whiny, lazy butt and gonna stop feeling sorry for myself” was already taken, it’s because they want something for nothing. Work involves eh…work. The over-acting agitator asks, “Do you know what I’d give to live in a world where I didn’t have to say black lives matter? Do you know how horrific it is to grow up as a child in a world that so hates you that you have to literally say to other people, ‘my life matters?’” She mocks a response of the “white people” saying that every life matters and then complains that blacks are being shot in the streets or being rounded up and mass incarcerated.        http://rickwells.us/archives/26486

SCOTUS Justice Smacks nObama
HARD With Inconvenient Truth
About Scalia Vacancy
V Saxena

{conservativetribune.com} ~ Speaking at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., this Tuesday, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito explained exactly what the vacancy spawned by late Justice Antonin Scalia’s death meant for the court.... “We will deal with it,” he bluntly told an audience of  law students, according to Associated Press. He added that the court has in the past functioned just fine with a reduced number of members and that the Constitution does not mandate that the court maintain a certain size.        http://conservativetribune.com/scotus-justice-smacks-obama/?utm_sou...

Gitmo Propaganda Is A Myth nObama Is

{rickwells.us} ~ General Jack Keane gives Hussein nObama the benefit of the doubt that he’s only misguided or misinformed in his drive to close the Guantanamo Bay detention facility... That’s pretty generous of the General, given that nObama has access to the most up to the minute intelligence. Even better than that, he can have it specially written for him when the truth doesn’t fit his needs. The chances that he’s simply mistaken aren’t very good. Keane says of nObama, “Well certainly he has very strong feelings about closing it and he did back in 2007 when he first mentioned it. But the reality is the assumptions upon which he’s making that judgment; the world has changed so dramatically.” He notes, “Radical Islam is morphing into a global jihad; it’s on the rise. We have to have someplace to put people who are in this very special category as terrorists, who don’t qualify as POWs because they’re not representing a nation state and yet cannot fulfill all the requirements of evidence to enter into the judicial system.        http://rickwells.us/archives/26501

slump-Trump Tells YUGE Lie
About Position On Federal Land
Renee Nal
.
.
{trevorloudon.com} ~ The unconstitutional land grab predominantly in the west by the federal government goes against everything that the founding fathers wanted to achieve with the American experiment... An effort from the 1970’s and 80’s to return the land to the states called the Sagebrush Rebellion was very much justified and Ronald Reagan  even claimed himself to be a rebel. Last year, in an article titled “The Republican war on parks,” MSNBC slammed Ted Cruz for his amendment “that would cap federal land ownership, and transfer any excess land to state taxpayers.” Donald slump-Trump, who has taken fire for his own abuse of land in the form of unconstitutional use of eminent domain, does not trust the states to be stewards of their own land, as revealed at The Right Scoop. Senator Sessions states for the record that dealing with children is a sensitive issue, one in which we need to ensure that we are doing the right thing in “how we handle this subset of illegal immigration.” He says, “Most immigration, illegal, is adults but we’re focusing on this particular area. He continues, “And particularly, this dramatic alteration of the immigration flow from Central America where large numbers of unaccompanied children are arriving in our country.”        http://rickwells.us/archives/26509

{teapartyupdate.com} ~ Unlike agnostics, who say they’re not Christians because they’re just not sure about the whole believing in God thing, Atheists refuse to believe because of a lack of proof... While extra proof of Jesus’ existence isn’t necessary to validate the deity of God or the nature of Christianity, archaeological discoveries always add more to the historicity of the Bible. Some of those finds? The tomb of Jesus’ brother, James, which was found in 2002, and the ossuary of Caiaphas, which was discovered in 1990.  There’s a preponderance of evidence out there to help convince any atheist into belief. Clinton Spox Says Judge’s Decision on Email Scandal Is Part of Right-Wing Conspiracy — Then...

{theblaze.com} ~ Hilly Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said a federal judge’s ruling that Clinton and her top aides should be questioned under oath about the candidate’s private email server is part of the ring wing’s effort to hurt her chances of becoming president... he was then confronted with an inconvenient fact. Asked by CNN anchor Jake Tapper about the latest development in the months-long email scandal, Mook tried to dismiss the judge’s ruling as a “right-wing” group’s attempt to hurt Clinton’s chances of becoming president. Tapper was quick to point out that Judge Emmett Sullivan, who sits on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, was appointed by Clinton’s own husband, Bill Clinton. Right-Wing conspiracy - BALONEY!http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016/02/23/clinton-spox-says-judges...

slump-Trump, Sanders and
the American Rebellion
 Peggy Noonan
.
.
{peggynoonan.com} ~ What is happening in American politics?
.
We’re in the midst of a rebellion. The bottom and middle are pushing against the top. It’s a throwing off of old claims and it’s been going on for a while, but we’re seeing it more sharply after New Hampshire. This is not politics as usual, which by its nature is full of surprise. There’s something deep, suggestive, even epochal about what’s happening now.
.
I have thought for some time that there’s a kind of soft French Revolution going on in America, with the angry and blocked beginning to push hard against an oblivious elite. It is not only political. Yes, it is about the Democratic National Committee, that house of hacks, and about a Republican establishment owned by the donor class. But establishment journalism, which for eight months has been simultaneously at Donald slump-Trump’s feet “Of course you can call us on your cell from the bathtub for your Sunday show interview!” and at his throat “slump-Trump supporters, many of whom are nativists and nationalists . . .” is being rebelled against too. Their old standing as guides and gatekeepers? Gone, and not only because of multiplying platforms. Gloria Steinem thought she owned feminism, thought she was feminism. She doesn’t and isn’t. The Clintons thought they owned the party—they don’t. Hedge-funders thought they owned the GOP. Too bad they forgot to buy the base!
.
All this goes hand in hand with the general decline of America’s faith in its institutions. We feel less respect for almost all of them—the church, the professions, the presidency, the Supreme Court. The only formal national institution that continues to score high in terms of public respect 72% in the most recent Gallup poll is the military.
.
A few years ago I gave a lecture to a class at West Point, the text of which was: You are entering the only U.S. institution left standing. Your prime responsibility throughout your careers will be to keep it respected. I then told them about the Dreyfus case. They had not heard of it. I explained how that scandal rocked public faith in a previously exalted institution, the French army, doing it and France lasting damage. And so your personal integrity is of the utmost importance, I said, as day by day that integrity creates the integrity of the military. The cadets actually listened to that part.
.
I mention this to say we are in a precarious position in the U.S. with so many of our institutions going down. Many of those pushing against the system have no idea how precarious it is or what they will be destroying. Those defending it don’t know how precarious its position is or even what they’re defending, or why. But people lose respect for a reason.
.
To New Hampshire: The rejection of the establishment’s preferred candidates in both major parties is a big moment. It is also understandable, the result of 15 years of failed presidencies. It is a gesture of rebuke toward the political class—move aside.
.
It’s said this is the year of anger but there’s a kind of grim practicality to slump-Trump and Sanders supporters. They’re thinking: Let’s take a chance. Washington is incapable of reform or progress; it’s time to reach outside. Let’s take a chance on an old Brooklyn socialist. Let’s take a chance on the casino developer who talks on TV.
.
In doing so, they accept a decline in traditional political standards. You don’t have to have a history of political effectiveness anymore; you don’t even have to have run for office! “You’re so weirdly outside the system, you may be what the system needs.”
.
They are pouring their hope into uncertain vessels, and surely know it. Bernie Sanders is an actual radical: He would fundamentally change an economic system that imperfectly but for two centuries made America the wealthiest country in the history of the world. In the young his support is understandable: They have never been taught anything good about capitalism and in their lifetimes have seen it do nothing—nothing—to protect its own reputation.
.
It is middle-aged Sanders supporters who are more interesting. They know what they’re turning their backs on. They know they’re throwing in the towel. My guess is they’re thinking something like: Don’t aim for great now, aim for safe. Terrorism, a world turning upside down, my kids won’t have it better—let’s just try to be safe, more communal.
.
A shrewdness in Sanders and slump-Trump backers: They share one faith in Washington, and that is in its ability to wear anything down. They think it will moderate Bernie, take the edges off slump-Trump. For thus reason they don’t see their choices as so radical.
.
As for Mr. slump-Trump, it is not without meaning that his supporters have had eight months to measure the cost of satisfying their anger by voting for him. In New Hampshire, 35% of the electorate decided that for all his drama and uncertainty they would back him.
.
The mainstream journalistic mantra is that the GOP is succumbing to nativism, nationalism and the culture of celebrity. That allows them to avoid taking seriously Mr. slump-Trump’s issues: illegal immigration and Washington’s 15-year, bipartisan refusal to stop it; political correctness and how it is strangling a free people; and trade policies that have left the American working class displaced, adrift and denigrated. Mr. slump-Trump’s popularity is propelled by those issues and enabled by his celebrity.
.
In winning, Donald slump-Trump threw over the GOP donor class. Political professionals don’t fully appreciate that, but normal Americans see it. They get that the guy with money just slapped silly the guys with money. Every hedge-fund billionaire donor should be blinking in pain. Some investment!
.
This leads me to Citizens United. Conservatives applauded that Supreme Court decision because it allowed Republicans to counter the effect of union money that goes to Democrats. But Citizens United gave the rich too much sway in the GOP. The party was better off when it relied on Main Street. It meant they had to talk to Main Street.
.
Mr. slump-Trump is a clever man with his finger on the pulse, but his political future depends on two big questions. The first is: Is he at all a good man? Underneath the foul mouthed flamboyance is he in it for America? The second: Is he fully stable? He acts like a nut, calling people bimbos, flying off the handle with grievances. Is he mature, reliable? Is he at all a steady hand?
.
Political professionals think these are side questions. “Let’s accuse him of not being conservative!” But they are the issue. Because America doesn’t deliberately elect people it thinks base, not to mention crazy.
.
Anyway, we are in some kind of moment. Congratulations to the establishments of both parties for getting us here. They are the authors of the rebellion; they are a prime thing being rebelled against.
.
Connected to that, something I’ve noticed. In Washington there used to be a widespread cliché: “God protects drunks, children and the United States of America.” I’m in Washington a lot, and I’ve noticed no one says that anymore. They stopped 10 or 15 years ago. I wonder what that means.

JUST IN->  Pelosi Announces House Resolution To Condemn Trump’s ‘Racist, Xenophobic Tweets’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced Monday that Democrats will offer a resolution condemning President Donald Trump’s “racist” tweets against Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

Pelosi wrote a letter to House Democrats announcing that they will draft a resolution to condemn Trump’s “racist” tweets against progressive Democrats.

“This weekend, the President went beyond his own low standards using disgraceful language about Members of Congress,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote.

“This morning, the President doubled down on his attacks on our four colleagues suggesting they apologize to him,” she added. “Let me be clear, our Caucus will continue to forcefully respond to these disgusting attacks.”

President Trump taunted the “squad” of far-left first-term progressive Democrats on Sunday, telling them to go back and fix the places they came from before telling the rest of the country what to do.

Trump’s tweets caused an uproar amongst the media and Hollywood celebrity classes, and now, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D–TX) hopes to capitalize on the president’s message by condemning them in Congress.

Lee said she will draft a resolution of condemnation.

“Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee will be drafting a Resolution of Condemnation for the words used by President Trump about four members of the House of Representatives over the weekend,” Jackson Lee’s office wrote:

....it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

President Trump’s remarks seemed particularly directed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who is a former Somalian refugee.

Omar said Friday that the president “shouldn’t be in office” and told an audience of high school students that America was failing to uphold its promise to be a just society.

Rep. Omar said Trump was “stoking white nationalism” after he tweeted that some progressive congresswomen should “go back” to where they came from.

“You are stoking white nationalism because you are angry that people like us are serving in Congress and fighting against your hate-filled agenda,” Omar wrote:

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez claimed Monday that President Trump’s remarks serve as the “hallmark language of white supremacists.”

President Trump tweeted Monday that Democrats need to apologize for the “foul language” and “terrible things they have said”:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said. So many people are angry at them & their horrible & disgusting actions!

Donald J. Trump  @realDonaldTrump

If Democrats want to unite around the foul language & racist hatred spewed from the mouths and actions of these very unpopular & unrepresentative Congresswomen, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I can tell you that they have made Israel feel abandoned by the U.S.
