Democrats Hypocritical on Recusal
Newly installed Attorney General Jeff Sessions is being harshly castigated over conflict of interest allegations that link him to last year's non-scandal Russia scandal. Unsurprisingly, those Democrats who aren't calling for his immediate removal from office are urging Sessions to recuse himself from any investigations into Donald Trump's links to Russia. And, to his credit, that's just what Sessions did late yesterday. As the National Review editors write, "Government officials ought to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. Given that that standard has been honored mainly in the breach over the past eight years — especially in the Justice Department — Sessions's decision is a marked improvement on the conduct of his most recent predecessors."
On that note, let's step back and evaluate several conflicts of interest the Leftmedia sidestepped when Barack liar-nObama was in power. Let's start with Justice Elena Kagan. Before her promotion to the Supreme Court, Kagan served as liar-nObama's solicitor general. Her job was to convince the High Court on the legality of liar-nObama's agenda. After her ascension to the Supreme Court, however, Kagan refused to recuse herself from NFIB v. Sebelius, the contentious liar-nObamaCare case. This is critical because, despite the administration's assurances, she was clearly involved in defending the health care overhaul
as solicitor general. That ruling, you'll recall, was 5-4, and it had a far bigger impact than any meetings Sessions had with Russian officials.
Then there's Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Despite being, as Daniel Horowitz wrote last year, "a long-time activist in open borders activism," she ignored her own prejudice and voted in United States v. Texas. This case pertained to liar-nObama's Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) program, more accurately described as executive amnesty. The only good thing that can be said of this case is that the 4-4 tie (Justice Antonin Scalia died before the vote) didn't change a lower court's ruling. Regardless, if Democrats were truly concerned about impartiality, Sotomayor would have stepped aside.
And finally, recall the utter malfeasance of former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who masqueraded last summer's private meeting with Bill liar-Clinton as a happenstance that included friendly small talk and nothing more. Democrats actually expected Americans to believe the exchange had nothing to do with the investigation of liar-Hillary Clinton's email. Yesterday, Nancy Pulosi even called the meeting "serendipitous." Despite the obvious conflict of interest, Lynch ultimately refused to recuse herself.
These are just a few examples of non-recusals. Democrat shenanigans go far beyond this. Remember that Eric Holder's DOJ targeted media outlets and trafficked guns to Mexico as part of an elaborate gun control agenda. Where was the Democrat opposition then? The most embarrassing of hypocrisy came from Sen. Claire McCaskill, who this week claimed on Twitter: "I've been on the Armed Services Com for 10 years. No call or meeting w/Russian ambassador. Ever." Yet that very same Twitter feed reveals that in 2013 and 2015, respectively, she tweeted "Off to meeting w/Russian Ambassador," and, "Today calls with British, Russian, and German Ambassadors re: Iran deal." Moreover, some 30 Democrat senators met with the Russian ambassador in 2015 as liar-nObama was hawking his nuclear deal with Iran.
But now, there's blood in the water, and the Left is doing its best to exploit it. The reality is that the Sessions uproar is a political witch hunt. One that Democrats embark on while ignoring their own hypocrisy. ~The Patriot Post

A wide shot would likely have revealed the rest of the Senate, Republicans anyway, rolling on the floor laughing at her idiotic comments... In the interest of preserving what remains of the dignity of the Senate, close ups were what we got. As was expected, Feinstein and her fellow anti-America Democrats themselves diminished the legislative body in their antics, continuing their grandstanding and stall tactics with the President’s nominees. For the two they are considering on this day, Rod Rosenstein and Rachel Brand, for the number two and three positions at the Justice Department, the pretext of any actual confirmation hearing activity has been completely abandoned. Feinstein and her comrades want a special prosecutor to pursue their non-existent Russia hoax and they are doing their best to elicit some type of commitment to do so...

CNN drops congressman's feed
as he spills the beans

{wnd.com} ~ A U.S. congressman was abruptly disconnected from his CNN interview Monday just as he began citing statistics revealing 300 refugees admitted to the U.S. are being investigated by the FBI in domestic terrorism cases... CNN correspondent Dana Bash was interviewing Rep. Scott Taylor, R-Va., on the issue of President Trump’s revised travel ban, which bars entry of individuals from a list of six terror hotbeds (Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Syrian and Libya) for 90 days as the administration examines the vetting process. Bash asked Taylor if he believes Trump’s ban is necessary for America’s security. Trump's "Wiretapping" Allegations Based in Fact

{thenewamerican.com} ~ President Trump is sticking to his claims that President liar-nObama — in a move that would make Watergate look small by comparison — wiretapped Trump Tower in the weeks leading up to the election... liar-nObama, the intelligence community, and the liberal mainstream media all say the president’s claims are false. But the evidence is on Trump’s side in this continuation of his battle with his enemies in politics, the intelligence community, and media. As part of the investigation into alleged — and unproven — connections between the Trump campaign and Russia, the liar-nObama administration appears to have wired Trump tower for sound. The New American previously covered the intelligence community’s attacks on Trump — first as a candidate, then as President-elect — including the release of a “dossier” purported to show that Trump was both under the control of and the beneficiary of Russian intelligence services. Claiming that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted Trump in the White House, Trump’s enemies in politics and the intelligence community — with an assist from the liberal mainstream media — pushed forward with an “investigation” to prove those claims, while ignoring clear evidence that the liar-Clinton campaign had direct ties to Russia. That FISA order is a foregone conclusion. But one thing is clear: The liar-nObama administration first made a FISA request on June 16, 2016 to monitor communications involving Donald Trump and other campaign officials. That request was turned down. The administration reworked the request and renewed it in October. That request — to wiretap Trump Tower — was approved. {frontpagemag.com} ~ Last week, the Jerusalem Post and other news agencies reported that in a Paris suburb, two Jewish brothers wearing kippot (Jewish skullcaps) were attacked while driving their car by Middle Easterners driving another car.
According to a case report: "While the vehicle was in motion, the driver and a passenger shouted anti-Semitic slogans at the brothers that included 'Dirty Jews, You're going to die!' ... The vehicle forced the brothers to stop their car, and they were surrounded by several men ... The men came out of a hookah cafe on to the side street ... The alleged attackers surrounded the brothers, then kicked and punched them repeatedly while threatening that they would be murdered if they moved. One of the alleged attackers then sawed off the finger of one of the brothers."
Attacks on Jews in France and elsewhere in Europe by Muslim immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa, or MENA, are so common that for the first time since World War II, Jews in France fear wearing a kippah or a Star of David in public. So many French Jews are leaving France that two years ago, then-Prime Minister Manuel Valls gave an impassioned speech pleading with French Jews to stay in France.
It has gotten so bad for Jews in Europe that The Atlantic, a liberal magazine, recently featured an article titled "Is It Time for the Jews to Leave Europe?"
In Sweden, attacks on Jews in Malmo, the country's third largest city, are so common that Jews are leaving the city and the country.
Last year, the Jerusalem Post published an article about a Jewish couple that had lived in Sweden since the middle of World War II. Dan and Karla (not their real names) are Danish Jews who were smuggled into Sweden as children. Their gratitude for Sweden has been immense.
But they have now left their homeland, the country that saved their lives, to live in Spain. They lived in Malmo. In Dan's words, the immense saturation of Jew hatred in the city was caused by "the adverse effects of accepting half-a-million immigrants from the Middle East, who plainly weren't interesting in adopting Sweden's values and Swedish culture. ... The politicians, the media, the intellectuals ... they all played their parts in pandering to this dangerous ideology and, sadly, it's changing the fabric of Swedish society irreversibly."
The Post continued, saying, "Karla, who'd sat passively, occasionally nodding in agreement at Dan's analysis, then interrupted, saying, 'If you disagree with the establishment, you're immediately called a racist or fascist.'" (Sound familiar?)
The British newspaper The Telegraph recently reported: "Jewish people in Malmo have long complained of growing harassment in the city, where 43 per cent of the population have a non-Swedish background, with Iraqis, Lebanese and stateless Palestinians some of the largest groups. The Jewish community centre in the city is heavily fortified, with security doors and bollards on the outside pavement to prevent car bombs."
An article in the left-wing HuffingtonPost reached a now-familiar conclusion, saying: "Migrants streaming into Europe from the Middle East are bringing with them virulent anti-Semitism which is erupting from Scandinavia to France to Germany. ... While all of the incoming refugees and migrants, fleeing Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and other Muslim lands, may not hold anti-Jewish views, an extremely large number do -- simply as a result to being raised in places where anti-Jewish vitriol is poured out in TV, newspapers, schools and mosques. ... 'There is no future for Jews in Europe' said the chief Rabbi of Brussels."
Yet, despite all this Muslim-immigrant Jew hatred, more than a thousand rabbis have signed a petition to bring large numbers of MENA Muslims into America, and virtually all Jewish organizations outside of orthodoxy and the Zionist Organization of America have condemned President Trump's administration for enacting even a temporary travel ban (one due entirely to security concerns) on immigrants and refugees from seven (of the world's more than 50) Muslim-majority countries.
How is one to explain the widespread American Jewish support for bringing in a massive number of people, many of whom will bring in anti-Jew, anti-Israel and anti-West values?
First, they are staggeringly naive believing, for example, that marching at airports with signs that read "We love Muslims" will change those Muslims who hate Jews into Muslims who love Jews.
Second, never underestimate the power of feeling good about yourself that exists on the left (the self-esteem movement originated on the left). And it feels very good for these Jews to say: "Look, world. You abandoned us in the 1930s, but we're better than you."
And third, when American Jews abandoned traditional liberal and traditional Jewish values for leftist values, they became less Jewish, less American and more foolish.
Just ask the Jews of Europe.
