The news of the week, of course, is that the partial government shutdown continues to drag on. On Tuesday, President Donald Trump addressed the nation to lay out the case for securing the border, a request that Democrats are resisting. Not long after the two Democrats spoke, the radio and television host called in to Fox News and blasted the left for years of feet-dragging on the border issue. “First of all, the president gave an outstanding speech. It was concise. It was compassionate and truly compassionate,” Levin began during his phone interview on fellow commentator Sean Hannity’s program. “He provided the context both in terms of what’s going on in the border, the expense, which is de minimis, and who’s really responsible,” he continued. by Political Editors:  Like clock work, House Democrats once again revealed their opposition to Americans’ Second Amendment rights and introduced their latest effort at “gun control.” Theatrically staged for the eighth anniversary of a madman’s attack that nearly killed her, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) unveiled legislation that would require “universal” background checks for any gun purchase. “It’s time to address our gun violence epidemic, and this new Congress will not sit silent,” Giffords declared.

             ABC News reports that the bill “would require background checks on the sale of any firearm and expand existing background checks to cover anyone attempting to buy firearms online, commercially or at gun shows, while providing exceptions for law enforcement and the transfer of guns between friends and family members.”
               The obviously problem here is that almost all legal gun purchases are already subject to background checks and the supposed gun-show loophole has been demonstrated to be largely a myth. Add to that the fact that the vast majority of criminals obtain their firearms illegally, and we’re left wondering how this new legislation would prevent any actual crimes. The fact is it doesn’t.     PROBABLY MANY DEMS HAAVE ARMED GUARDS THIS IS B/C THEY FEEL THAT ONLY THEY DESERVE THIS RIGHT.  TOO BAD NOT SO,   MANY HYPOCRITES HAVE ARMED GUARDS AND WALLS BIG ONES.   THIS RIGHT IS GIVEN BY GOD NOT GOVT WE CANNOT AND MUST NOT BE STUPID AND EVER GIVE IT UP.   TEACH YOUR KIDS NOW EXPLAIN IT ALL.  OR WE ARE LOST IF THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS
