I Was Poor And Did Not Know It... a muse to consider in a world where the poor are not always in poverty

I was poor and I didn’t know it… I was happy and they said I was sad… I was ignorant until they taught me....

Then I saw, that I was poor…  that my happiness was denial, and in my ignorance… I become their victim... No longer happy, no longer glad.

I have seen the world… where children sit naked in a puddle… their bellies swelling, from lack of nourishment… but, with such a smile, it would make an angel cry.

I have seen the ignorant living in…

The Constitutional Militia... an essay

The Congress exist because of the Constitution... the Constitution exist because of the Militia and an armed People.  The rule of law is secured by a proper and functioning militia... See: Article 1, Section 8, Clauses 14 and 15. To this end, the Militia must be armed with the weapons necesary to secure the Law and with it... the cause of liberty.

The Militia is present to enforce the law... against enemies of the People.  The 2nd Amendment was established to institutionalize the…

A Muse... a word to ponder

We pass this way but once on our journey to a greater destiny... Let us do so with honor and grace... knowing that this place , this temporal order is but a testimony of our worth and duty to our God...

Help us  O' Lord to understand our purpose too look upon the circumstances of our time and find that place where we harmonize with…

Words Have Meaning… they cut across time and space, they empower the powerless

Words Have Meaning… they cut across time and space, they empower the powerless

What are words but the jealous rendition of man’s imagination… laid bare for the world to see. It is with words that we pontificate the ways of men, too establish governments and laws. It is with words that we…

A Muse... on the lighter side to lift one's hope

Memories God's Golden Gift

Wisps of thought that perish not,  mirages of images... long forgot. Those childhood days of true delight,  these happy images of days and night ...  Let us recall them, in our somber years. That night may give way to a brighter day, the gift of memory, God's hidden treasure so…

"Man is born free but every where he is in chains..." Rousseau.

"Man is born free but every where he is in chains..." Rousseau.

Yet, with tedious labor we do strive against the wind... against the forlorn cry... liberty once gained, yet lost in time... liberty remains a fleeting dream.  Shall we suffer the pain of tyranny or mount with wings the hallowed quest... for that which so deliberately we seek... this liberty, this faint apparition of our fathers, many.

Liberty is not obtained thru idle banter, it is the fruit of…

Memories of the Forgiven

Memories of the Forgiven

We are often haunted by memories that refuse to be forgotten… we try to hide, but they always find us.  We think we are finished with the past… done, but we can never erase the indelible ink of histories mark… They never die, not in the cloak of our mortal state… in the eye of the flesh.  As long as we live, they hold us captive.  The haunting memories of nights long lost, sooner bring us too remember, sorrows of ill spent days… when youths…

Words Have Meaning...

Words Have Meaning...

  • "How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!" quote, Samuel Adams.

Words have meaning... but never so clear, that a tyrant can not subvert and convert them to his purpose.  Hence, for justice to prevail... a MORAL people must hold the heads of justice accountable for their words.

'Tis but the sound of fury, unleashed in the souls of tyrants... that corrupt words destroy the…

From Where Do Wars And Strife Come... a Christian view.

The exploitation  of the poor and their wages must stop... International Corporations must not use their wealth, power and positions, to yoke the poor with slave wages.  America must not permit unrestrained trade with corporations, that exploit the disparities in world markets: wages, environmental, health, safety and labor standards, must be uniform within the world's economic system. …

What are words but the jealous rendition of man’s imagination… laid bare for the world to see. It is with words that we pontificate the ways of men, too establish governments and laws. It is with words that we build up and tare down… it is with the power of the pen that we turn swords into…

Which Came First The Chicken Or The Egg.... Capital or Labor?

Which came first... the egg or the chicken?  Labor and Capital... are mutually intertwined and when in harmony produce the greatest good.  Can one exist without the other?  Was it labor that produced Capital or was it Capital that generated labor...jobs?

The problem with many is that they are ungrateful ... ignoring the contribution of others to the common good.   Labor and Capital are complementary components that drive the engines of wealth creation.  Like husband and wife the…

The Law

Cut down the law and no man can stand in the wind; for the law is a harbor against the storm, a wall of safety against mankind's penchant for evil. Evil men seek not justice under the law... they see the righteousness of the law as a hindrance to their cause and would sooner pervert the law to their own cause... braking down the wall of safety, setting loose the wind to wreck havoc  upon their neighbors.

Where is the law of rectitude when unjust men sit…

Long Grows The Shadow Of Tyranny... upon the land.

Long grows the shadow of tyranny upon the land... cold the hand of the despot upon our liberty falls. Who will stand, who will go, who will answer, the call of the fallen...  Whose blood, did pave the streets of liberty with sorrows tears. We few, we few men, whose lives did bleed cry out from above... Come, stay the course true, and live in peace forever renewed; die not the cowards curse, make sure freedom's thirst... drink long this day of liberty for tomorrow comes…

America... One Nation, Indivisible

A nation divided will not stand... a people divided can not survive. We are American's first and last ... Whether we are of Sioux, Asian, African or Irish ancestors... We are first and last American's.   A shining city, set upon a hill, a beacon of light in a world of darkness... a people bound together for the common purpose of establishing a more perfect union... too, secure the blessings of Liberty for ourselves and our Posterity.

We have united under a common banner with one…

Somewhere Over The Rainbow... blue birds fly; why, oh' why can't I

On this day in 1939, a wonderful and beautiful song entertained America, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” became an instant hit and remains an Iconic classic.  America celebrated a New Musical in all its brilliant Technicolor, ‘The Wizard of Oz’… a tale of hope and a promise of renewal.   This Iconic production came out the same year as “Gone With The Wind” another blockbuster of a film, and a testimony to Americana and its glorious spirit of innovation and renewal.  Both were classical examples…

Free Trade... wages, taxes and regulation

Major Corporations moved off shore... abandoning the US  because they can make significantly greater profit by manufacturing in the third world ... than in the US.  It's all about profit, whether those profits are increased by avoiding union wages,  OSHA and EPA regulations or taxes... It all boils down to a better bottom line... Profit.

Before, the US engaged Free Trade Policy.... the global corporations were unable to move off shore due to tariffs…

Never So Few... gave so much

Never so few gave so much for their fellow man... than the 56 original signors of the 'Declaration of Independence'.  Out of their sacrifice and devotion to liberty our heritage was secured and now we stand anew ... to be tested in our resolve too serve liberty.  Will we measure up to our name sake and the call of liberty as did they?

Shall we all rally round the flag... too, lift it high that our fellow patriot may see and rise to the occasion or…

The War On The Suburbs... Fundamental Transformation In America

The war on the suburbs has been around for more than a couple of years... the affordable housing act and HUD have been moving welfare recipients to the burbs for over 6yrs.  Illegal and legal liens are showing up in the small town where I live and for the first time I am beginning to hear Spanish and other foreign languages regularly spoken in the isles of Wal-Mart and at the Pizza Inn.…

The Common Cause... Liberty and its defense

I believe many in America are either sitting around expecting and anticipating that others will do the hard work of defending their liberty... Many of the rich have decided to play both sides of the isle, being unwilling to commit to the restoration of the Republic, they are attempting to leverage an advantage from the demise of their neighbor.  Thinking to cut a deal, too find an angle, too capitalize on the situation, they believe they can wrestle with the devil and win.

However,…
