VA Health Care System problems - WE are the cause, my friends... you and I.

My friends, what we see here is a real failure. I'm not talking about the FAIL videos that we see on the Internet, I'm talking about a failure that has a palpable and negative affect on people. I have served our country, but I am not a hero. The heroes are those who are suffering needlessly while waiting on a system that needs to be dramatically improved. The heroes are those who have put their lives on the line for your freedoms, it doesn't matter what conflict they were in, the fact is…

Conservatives are jerks! Republicans are bigots!

Before you read this…KNOW that it is sarcasm! This is a rant from a nonexistent person whom I made up, in my brilliant mind, so that I could think like a liberal. Unfortunately we will not be able to ask this nonexistent person any questions due to the fact that after spewing this much garbage from their mouth, when city sanitation came by and scooped up the trash… they were gone. Hey! Enjoy the read.

An emotional letter from: Stu P.…

Cost of running.... ouch!

My good friends, thank you for keeping Conservative Brain Works alive and kicking! We here at Conservative Brain Works discuss the 2 topics that most people steer from: religion and politics.

Now you know, if you have read any of my posts either here or at the tea party command center, my mindset. You know that I am a constitutionally minded patriot who realizes that we need sweeping and dramatic change in the halls of Washington DC. If I were ever voted into Congress you know that my…

Benghazi coverup continues

This morning when I left for work i heard about the newly released emails on the Benghazi terror attacks. I thought maybe the press would really wake up and get to the bottom of this and find out if there was a coverup and we Americans would know the truth.  Benghazi has been very important to me.  The loss of life and the lack of response (No One Came) touched me deeply.  So much that I wrote a song to keep this tragedy alive in peoples minds …

Recall Senator Harry Reid & Reduce the National Debt: one Senator at a time

Chinese Laundering of Nevada

---

Chinese factory solar cells

Built on stolen land that smells,

Where decaying dead bulls used to graze,

Where helicopter snipers blaze.

Oh give me a home... where the Buffalo -- no longer roams,

Where ranchers used to call their homes,

Where Senate thugs like Harry Reid's

Practice black heart dirty deeds.

Bringing back hoe's wheels that rattle

Where his Brown Shirts bury cattle,

Where Range… Continue

Suspicious Deaths of Bankers Are Now Classified as “Trade Secrets” by Federal Regulator

Suspicious Deaths of Bankers Are Now Classified as “Trade Secrets” by Federal Regulator

It doesn’t get any more Orwellian than this: Wall Street mega banks crash the U.S. financial system in 2008. Hundreds of thousands of financial industry workers lose their jobs. Then, beginning late last year, a rash of suspicious deaths start to occur among current and former bank employees.…

Representative Government

Most people I grew up with had an idea about democracy. They thought when a decision was made it should be by vote.  In school we voted on class officers, on cheerleaders, and on various decisions.  If someone voted a different way than you that was their right.

How have we come to the point of being against another person's right to express themselves. This goes against the very premise of a free society.  Lately the white house has begun stacking the deck against…

Whatever Happened to "Post Racial" America, Barack?

By John W. Lillpop

From the cow pastures of Nevada to the courts of the National Basketball Association (NBA), America’s preoccupation with race relations and racism has been stoked to a bloody frenzy.

It seems like just yesterday, a young, clean and articulate Democrat Senator from Illinois (with no negro dialect!)  captured the imagination of the nation, and the world, really, with ringing oratory and powerful Promises of Hope and Change.

Among his most fiery…

Romney Handed Shock
Defeat By Own State’s GOP

Mitt Romney is back in state politics, this time in Utah instead of Massachusetts. However, conservatives in The Beehive State aren’t exactly warming up to the 2012 Republican standard-bearer quite the way many people expected they would.

After finishing second in votes at the state GOP convention, Romney will now face a primary in his run for the Senate seat being vacated by Orrin Hatch, Fox News reported.

At the convention in West Valley City on Saturday, Romney polled just behind state lawmaker Mike Kennedy.

Kennedy captured 50.18 percent of the delegate vote compared to Romney’s 49.12 percent.

That means the two will face off in a primary on June 26 to determine who will represent the GOP this fall.

Romney, the first Mormon to head a major party ticket, is considered an extremely popular figure in Utah and was widely expected to have an easy path to the upper chamber.

In a hypothetical matchup with Democrat Jenny Wilson, at least one poll showed Romney up by 46 percent. That’s, uh, slightly more than the margin of error.

However, among party loyalists, Romney isn’t exactly viewed with unalloyed fondness.

The 2012 presidential nominee was always known for being decidedly moderate, particularly on issues of immigration and global trade. There was also the fact that he ran a campaign so bumbling that it almost made Michael Dukakis look good.

And then there was Romney’s war of words with Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign, which likely led many to perceive he secretly wished Hillary Clinton would take the Oval Office.

Trump would later consider Romney as a secretary of state pick, although how serious the president-elect was about appointing him is something we’ll likely never know.

While your average Utah Republican is unlikely to let these slights affect their vote, hardcore party activists probably don’t want another RINO who isn’t exactly known for his rapport with the president in the upper chamber of Congress, no matter how famous he may be.

For his part, Romney tried to put a good spin on the humiliation.

“I’m delighted with the outcome. Did very, very well,” he told KSTU. “On to a good, important primary ahead. This is terrific for the people of Utah.”

Dude, you just lost to a guy nobody has ever heard of. However, Kennedy was happy with the results, and unlike Romney, he had good reason to be.

“I’m a candidate with a compelling life story and a unique set of life circumstances I’d like to use to serve the people of Utah,” Kennedy said.

I have no idea what that story or those circumstances are, but I think the key point here is that he’s not Mitt Romney. If he wants to win, that’s pretty much what he should be focusing on. I can see the billboards now. “Mike Kennedy: Not Mitt Romney.” “Mike Kennedy: He didn’t borrow Ward Cleaver’s haircut.” “Mike Kennedy: Because Utah deserves a senator whose favorite food isn’t buttered noodles.”

Utah’s electorate tends to be less conservative than convention-goers, so it’s unlikely that Romney won’t be the GOP nominee for Senate. However, that’s not a 100 percent certainty — and it wouldn’t be the first time he’s lost to a Kennedy.

What do you think?
