Where Did That Idea Go?

We tend to have a certain "all or nothing" approach within our culture, especially with regards to those we call heroes. This is unfortunate because it changes one of the most important aspects of people that I want to look up to: they did astonishing things even though they are human. When we start thinking that a person did superhuman things because he or she is superhuman we stop idealizing and start worshiping. When this happens, unpleasant facts and realities need to be shunned lest they… Continue

Is Health Care By The Government Good Or Bad?

A view of the Health Care from the eyes of a 18 year old Conservative

Is Health Care By The Government Good Or Bad?

It will create 110 to 120 new government agencies, (raising government spending). Guess some one will go back

to work that we have to pay for or the government has to borrow to pay for. They are going to make Medicare solvent for a least the next 9 years by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse by 1/2 billion dollars from this program If there is so much… Continue

Little gems from the Health Care Bill

If the members of Congress who vote for this bill wins re-election, then America has more than its share of Idiots. (In my opinion)

This is no joke. You can download the " America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009’’ and read it for yourself. I have. Here is the website where you can download a copy of this 1018 page… Continue

Obama, I just have a couple Questions??

Excuse me Mr. Obama, I mean President Obama, Sir. Um . . I know you're busy, and important and stuff. I mean, running the country is very important and -- ah -- I hate to bother you, Sir. I will only take a minute. Ok, Sir?

See, I have these missing pieces that are holding me up, and I was wondering, Sir, if you could take time out of your busy schedule and help me out. You know, no big deal, just some loose ends and things.

Hey, you have a nice place here! The wife sees… Continue

It appears Big Labor has struck a deal to stick it to the American tax payers -- again. This deal has been done behind closed doors, and not on CSPAN as promised by this president over and over again during his campaign. The 'deal' will tax the middle class on their so called "cadillac" health care plans, but not the union plans, leaving the middle class to pick up the slack in additional taxes -- another in a long line of broken promises.

Improper Endorsement

There is absolutely no lack of material for comment floating through the news today. As we have mentioned earlier, this race has attracted national attention along with national money, a fact that the Boston Globe deplores. What is it telling us, though, that the Globe neglects to mention that the vast majority of that money, a 2-1 imbalance, is earmarked for Martha Coakley? Oddly, the Globe didn't mention some of the reasons Coakley needs that money, such as paying people to hold her signs… Continue

Liberty verses Tyranny - Choose Wisely

Over the past 12 months, we have witnessed an unprecedented assault on our personal liberties. This assault has not come from some foreign power, but from our own tyrannical government.

On Tuesday, January 19, a special election will be held in the state of Massachusetts to choose a new US Senator to replace Ted Kennedy. The results of this election could well decide our nation's future.

Until now, Democrats have had filibuster-proof majorities in both the House and… Continue

America, Canada , all Europe .....

Needs a President like this .................

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Australia

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the… Continue

Michael Steele is not the most popular guy in the Republican Party these days, and then again, maybe he is just that. After commenting on Fox New's Hannity that Republicans will not take control of the House in 2010, there has been a backlash by conservatives. In a time when the right is reeling from the totalitarian effects of this administration, negativity is not welcome.

Righteous (or perhaps not so much) Indignation

A Senate race should never be a national cause celebre, and certainly not a special election to replace someone who died in office. Under the current circumstances, though, it is hard to see how things could have turned out differently. Looked at pragmatically, can we honestly say that the current situation with the Massachusetts special election is one of circumstance? Or is it more arrogance and disregard for true democratic principles?

Dem Scheme: Seat Brown Late If He Wins, Until After Health Care Gets to Senate

As today's politics become more and more totalitarian, the overreach of the far left radicals in this administration is beyond belief. A big part of American exceptionalism is our freedom, and voting rights is right up there in the top five. We now have a government hell-bent on transforming America back to the day of King George and the British Empire.

Lately (oh, about the last 12 months), every day brings another sad bit of news, and this one is a clear sign of the times -- something I don't think any of us thought would come. This is another sign of what happens when the government controls, and this government is controlling more and more every day.

What happened to Government of the People, by the People, and for the People

I am interested in taking back our government from the corporations, special interest groups, unions and all those big money people that control our government. As far as I know it's supposed to be Government of the People, by the People, and for the People and until we take back the election process back from big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ we will never have that. We need real election reform and I wont join any organization that wont work for that.

Even in Massachusetts, Weak Support for Dem Health Care Bill

In an interesting poll analysis, Massachusetts shows weak support for the Democrat health care bill. This is a state that knows first hand what government health care brings -- disaster. Amazing, for a state that has far more registered Democrat voters than Republican.

Vote the BUMS out, but, be careful!

Even though we're disappointed in Congress, the reason we're in a bigger mess now then before is because the Democrats have complete control, and the Democrats are mainly controlled by Liberals and Leftists. Last time we threw out the Republicans, now we need to throw out many Democrats, and if some Republicans need ousting, so be it. Eventually they "might" get it!

the Tea Party as a political Party

Dear members,
I think the time is right to organize as a legitimate political Party, elect a Party spokeperson, set up campaign locations and begin endorsements for candidates. After all we have already had parties like the Federalists and the Whigs. My endorsements for candidate possibilities are; Newt Gingrich, Sara Palin, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee.

Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”

Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.

According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.

The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”

Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.

“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
