I'm just a hard working middle class worker who performed at the first Tea Party gathering in Albany New York back in 2008. I was told over 3,000 people attended and that night I heard the news was calling us tea baggers. I guess I wasn't smart enought to know what that meant. i've just been a working fool paying my dues all my life and didn't pay much care to stuff like that.
It was a great gathering for such a liberal state and democratic city too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEagsf7fZAk
I never done this before. Being i'm new at this thing i'm just talking off my head. i might be the only one that felt this way for the 2008 campaign. i'm over 50 years old, was the first time i was not going to vote in a presidential election because of what was jammed down my throat this time by the gop. and then something happened. some poor woman from alaska gets picked for VP that made me actually get up and go out to vote because i like how sincere she seemed. this whole thing is my first time and maybe it seems like i'm rambling and i apologize to those that might read this but i don't know about everybody else out there. i'm just tired of being talked down at, ignored. so i just joined. I wore my first teaparty shirt for months and i still have it and i still get it out when the NRI had the rally in albany ny last spring with the rally for gun control. we had a great turn out. so even this might go on a deaf ear - but thank you for letting me have a platform to express myself.
Being a conservative entertainer is really tough. i ran into another conservative entertainer and we both laughed knowing how hard it is. you have to almost gather in an underworld. :)
