Tomorrow's gubernatorial election in Virginia is threatening to be a perfect demonstration of the disaster of having a 3rd party in an election.  Currently just a few points separate the two main…Continue

Action plan for the 2014 Elections

Posted on February 26, 2013 at 9:31pm 14 Comments

I've commented before about the need for us to get on top of the 2014 elections immediately; there are many Congressional districts where good conservatives either have a fighting chance or where a conservative challenger needs to be identified and supported in next year's GOP primaries.  The first step in that process is to assess the 2012 election results and the resulting representation district by district in every state.

In the image below I've done that for my home state of…

Splitting the Vote

There's a lot of discussion among Tea Partiers over whether we should be trying to take back the Republican Party from within by running conservative candidates aas Republicans or forming a new third party to compete with the GOP.

I am, and unless things get a whole lot worse will continue to be, firmly in the camp of taking over the Republican party from within, because election history has shown that conservative third party…

What Next? A Personal Manifesto....

Last Tuesday’s election results came as a bitter shock to the half or more of Americans who have suffered through the last 4 years of juvenile, humiliating, and severely damaging rule by President Obama, Harry Reid, and the rest of the radical left elite of today’s Democratic party.  As the reality of another 4 years of “more of the same but much worse” sinks in, there’s no shortage of accusations of gross incompetence, voter fraud by the left, and deliberate sabotage of the Republican party…

Nice to be here, although Obummer is making rational as difficult as he can.

I agree with Mike Smith. The GOP is a sinking ship and clinging to it only prolongs the pain. We need Tea Party candidates to run for public office. Throughout our country's history, partys have failed and new ones have arisen to do the citizens bidding. The time has arisen to continue that tradition.

Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”

Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.

According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.

The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”

Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.

“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
