Your enthusiasm for Michelle Bachmann is shared by many. Hope you talk her up when meeting with female friends at any groups you meet with. She is a pure conservative. Unfortunately, the Repub establishment has always leaned the other way, even making it difficult for Reagan the first time. Thinking in realistic terms Jane, the Repubs have never had a woman on a ticket, but her strong showing and overwhelming support from women will help force her way on to the ticket. She can out debate Biden or Obama, as she has more of a multi-dimensional intellect. It will be harder for the media to attack her as they have Sarah Palin, without looking like total misogynist.
A worse case scenario should land Michelle at least in an important cabinet position. She will play a major role in defeating our current unconstitional/fraud president, as she is not afraid to speak her mind. Romney looks like he was cast from Hollywood, though he would be good for the economy if he does get elected . We will need somone who calls Obama out and not be overly polite, which is a fear with Romney.
I think we can stay upbeat Jane, as Obama will not be pulling any miracles between now and the 2012 elections, even if he kills Bin Laden again ; - ) More people need to know that we have an unconstitutional/fraud president sitting in the White House, who has been governing against the American people. It won't be long now til 2012 when we can reclaim our country that Obama likes to apologize for when he is in Europe.
So good to connect with another local conservative. Our local Tea Party group meets about once a month at the Scotts Valley Starbuck's, and if you are interested in joining us, we would love to have you.
Youbetcha! I was at the very first "Tax Day" Tea Party Rally in Santa Cruz. It's when I started my little blog, and never looked back. Take a peek at the pictures.
Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”
Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.
According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.
The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”
Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.
“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
