I believe that after Katrina (with the dam blowing), the Gulf Oil (with the oil rig blowing, it seems to me we keep having disasters centered around water.If you have watched the Malcolm X movie (with his Moslem teacher scene)& if you have seen the Osama Bin Laden video, you will see them with a clear glass of water. I think that could be a sign.
Please protect you State's water supply. Thank you.

I agree, but my issue is the legalization of marajuana. Why should we jail our citizens over the use of an herb? Making it legal will set off a chain of positive events.

Increasing revenues, under liberal control, just increases spending. It wouldn't matter how much tax money "weed" brought in, if we don't change the way our government does business we are going under.

I disagree that they would still smuggle it in, because it would be far less cheaper in texas if it were legalized and would outweigh the risk of smuggling. I guarntee if it were legalize at least 40 percent of the marajuana smokers would grow their own indoors hydropnically and it would be another major cash crop we can convert to currency. Besides, why does the law want to intervene on the people who want to smoke it? Its not like they have to suffer from someone choosing to smoke an herb.

Amen to that Michael. We must stop ALL of these entitlement programs. People feel better about themselves when they work for what they get.

I believe reigning in government spending in line with the constitution makes much more sense than legalizing marijuana. America is only "broke" if we keep expanding old entitlement programs and creating new ones. We have to return to an attitude of personal responsibility.

Money can grow on trees, legalize marajuana. It can be a booming industry that helps fund the state in a positive way and will create tons of jobs.

I have an idea on how texas can gain revenue through at least a billion in taxes, stop the mexican cartel and cut down on the spending for the prison system all in one bill.
