And so where we are talking about different jurisdictions who's representatives may stand on differing sides of the issues, OathKeepers plays an important role as an adhesive on a national level holding to constitutional enforcement and connecting like-minded individuals.

That is just 'One' Governor ! In Kansas, WE have the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution and Article 8 of the Kansas Constitution, approved by the US Congress at Statehood !

Info Wars is 100% correct. While it is true the Sheriff is the top LEO, here in the state where the first American Revolution began, our Gov. Duval Patrick, has stated any militia activity is illegal. Say what you will, I have been with Oathkeepers since inception, and while there have been efforts to form militia units in the state, all have resulted in failure.  So whatever you want to use as a title is basically semantics at this point.

If you believe in the 10 Orders of 'Oath Keepers', and you do not have a County Sheriff who will stand up, THEN you have to be part of a MILITIA !!

Eric - Sheriffs have come across the country stating that they will NOT enforce gun confiscation. They are elected so they have more control over their situation. They also have the power to deputize as many as they deem necessary. The only requirement presently the join the Oathkeepers is to pay the fee and uphold the Constitution. If it ever came down to it, I am sure they would wave the fee. These are all people who are sworn to uphold the Constitution. This is our main objective here, is it not?

What happened in Nazi Germany was more akin to Obama's pre-election speech where he said we need a domestic force just as strong, just as well funded as our regular military. Everyone clapped and no one knew what the hell he was talking about. He was talking about the brown shirts of the German Socialist Party. This is the "select" militia that you have to be concerned about. As long as the OathKeepers are sworn to uphold the Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the United States of America, I will stand with them and be happy to do so because the way our political representatives are systematically dismantling the Constitution, I don't know what we would do without an organization that took their pledge to our Constitutional Republic seriously. This is what ALL American soldiers fought and died for and I for one am glad that there is an organization sworn to assure that they didn't fight and die in vain.

Thank you for being a member. It is a simple concept really. The elite are trying to undermine our political system to implement world government. It's okay to say it, they do:

"... but an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault. The hopeful aspect of the present situation is that even as nations resist appeals for "world government" and "the surrender of sovereignty," technological, economic and political interests are forcing them ..." ~ Council on Foreign Relations, Foreign Affairs, April 1974

I don't know how it could be any more clear. We have domestic enemies involved in policy making. Period. And for the people who keep blaming it on Obama as if once Obama goes away, everything will be fine - it won't Obama is their puppet, the problem is systemic - it will not go away with Obama.

OathKeepers acknowledges the problem is to destroy our political system from within and that they are sworn by Oath to Defend the Constitution.

Thank you I agree with you.  They are one of the better organizations out there.  I am a member and a Patriot and a active member in my community.  This guy Eric is the first person I have heard go after them that is not, so he claims, part of this illegal regime.

Breaking: Jury Sides With Sheriff Joe
Smacks Down Establishment GOP’s Lawsuit

A jury has sided in favor of conservative icon, former Sheriff Joe Arpaio, against the lawsuit filed by Austin Flake, the son of GOP establishment Senator Jeff Flake, and Austin’s ex-wife, Logan Brown.

Flake and Brown had filed a lawsuit against the Arizona sheriff for “malicious prosecution” after over a dozen dogs died on their watch at a Gilbert dog kennel.

The jury decided Flake and Brown had failed to provide sufficient evidence to back up their accusations of malicious prosecution by Arpaio, The Associated Press reported via Tucson.com.

Flake and Brown ran the kennel while Brown’s parents were out of town in 2014, the AP reported.

The two were still in college.

Initially, Flake and Brown were charged in the incident, but the charges were dropped at the prosecution’s request. Later, Flake’s in-laws pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges after an expert determined that the facility air conditioner failed because it was not properly maintained.

Thus, the owners of the kennel were responsible for the death of the 21 dogs, and they answered for their crimes.

Nonetheless, Flake and Brown reportedly alleged that Arpaio had charged them to gain publicity and deal damage to Senator Flake — an establishment fixture within the GOP.

The two “contended the charges caused them emotional distress, contributed to the demise of their marriage and led the senator’s son to being suspended from college for an honor-code violation,” according to The Associated Press.

Despite the jury’s decision, the U.S. District Judge Neil V. Wake will not issue a final verdict until the defense explains why it didn’t turn over documents that may have benefited the plaintiffs, according to a statement from the plaintiffs’ attorney to The Associated Press.

“The struggle to hold government officials accountable has always required a steep, perilous climb,” the plaintiffs’ attorney said in a Friday statement according to KNPX.

“Although we disagree with the jury’s verdict, we are grateful we had the opportunity to force former Sheriff Arpaio and his subordinates at Maricopa County to account for their indisputably reckless conduct. Near the end of the trial, we discovered that the County failed to turn over documents that might have helped us prove our case,” he continued.

“The Court has ordered the County to explain its failure and indicated that it will not enter a final judgment in the case until a satisfactory explanation is provided. We will access our future options in this fight when the County complies with the Court’s Order.”

Charges that didn’t pan out are an annoyance to those affected — there’s no question of that.

But to claim that those charges — which were dropped — were the reason behind a failed marriage, and that Arpaio needs to pay is completely ridiculous.
