About the Northern NY Tea Party

Director:  Joe Gilbert

The Northern New York Tea Party is committed to returning our country to our Founding principles of a smaller and fiscally responsible government that adheres to the U.S. Constitution and free markets.

We the People believe every American citizen was endowed by our Creator with the unalienable rights of Life, Liberty and Property. We further believe the right of the individual to protect these rights shall not be infringed.

NNY Tea Party is a truly grassroots organization that exists to serve and support like-minded Patriots throughout our region, state and beyond . With your help, we will shape national policy by focusing on and influencing local, state and national issues, polices and elections. We support and promote Constitutional conservative candidates for office at all levels that share our ideals, goals and objectives.

America faces challenges like never before.  We will rise to combat these challenges with a dedication and resolve worthy of the times.

We are fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers concerned about the future of the United States and question what kind of country we will leave to our children and grandchildren.  We truly face the risk that future generations of Americans will never know what it means to be free.

We will not surrender our principles, our values or America's future.

Together, we can make a difference. We are a group of ordinary, patriotic, hard working and taxpaying citizens that will no longer idly stand and watch our great country be destroyed from within and our prestige eroded internationally.

The NNY Tea Party will petition our government at all levels for the redress of grievances. We will meet, set goals and objectives and then accomplish them. If you are tired of feeling frustrated, if you are tired of talking and want to do something, then you are in the right place.

Together we will impact the national dialog and policy one school board, one town council, one statehouse and one election at a time.

If you live in NY, you need to sign this petition.

NY state lies to you every month.  They charge a tax on your phone called the "911 Surcharge".  This money is supposed to go to your towns to pay for expensive 911 emergency and Public Safety communications. It doesn't.

Instead, it goes into the genera fund.  The counties then have to go fight Albany, and the other counties, to get a small percentage of it back through competitive grants.  Our safety is put at risk to support Albany's progressive, out of control spending.

Sign and share this petition to make this right!

We on the Right spend a great deal of time talking about what the Left is doing to destroy our country, while the Left is actually doing something to further their agenda of destroying our country.  It is high time we DO something on the Right to stop them.

Hello, Daniel.  We want Georgia to stay Red, and eventually turn NY red too, one local and state seat at a time.  Support our Candidate Academy on nnyteaparty.org and we can make it happen!

‘Breaking: Supreme Court Sides With Trump Over Sanctuary Cities In Deportation Case

The US Supreme Court sided with President Trump over sanctuary cities today in a 5-4 decision.

The court ruled the government has the power to detain people who are facing deportation because of the crimes they committed.

Chief Justice John Roberts joined justices Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh in the majority.

Bloomberg.com reported:

A divided U.S. Supreme Court bolstered the government’s power to detain people who are facing deportation because of crimes they committed, siding with the Trump administration in a clash with implications for so-called sanctuary cities.

The case focused on non-citizen legal residents who serve a criminal sentence, get released and later are arrested by federal immigration agents.

The 5-4 ruling Tuesday said those people aren’t entitled to a bond hearing, and the possibility of re-release, while the Homeland Security Department presses its case for deportation. The ruling reversed a decision by the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

In announcing the decision from the bench, Justice Samuel Alito said the lower court had made a “policy judgment” using reasoning that “makes a mockery” of the federal immigration laws…

…Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh joined the majority, but they splintered in their reasoning.

Thomas and Gorsuch didn’t agree with all of Alito’s opinion. They said courts lack power to consider issues involving the detention of non-citizens until those people are facing a deportation order.
