Well, it is clear now that the Tea Party is getting the attention it deserves, good or bad. The Progressives are trying so hard to paint racism on us but it's not working. Pretty bad too when the President is laughing at the very people he serves...so sad.

I will be in Washington DC on the 4th of July visiting..I love DC and it belongs to all of us...Now it's on to November's Elections..and helping each and every candidate win who has the core Conservative American values needed, and isn't afraid to vote to preserve those values for us and future generations. Time to stand up and be counted.

On a different note has anyone read the news about the teacher pretended to be a Tea Party member? Pretty twisted that a teacher did this. See story

Judith,

Welcome.

There are those in America today who have come to depend absolutely on government for their every need. The Tea Party is not anti-government but we don't want the Government running our lives and telling us what to buy and we are certainly not anti-doctor.

We are about preserving our freedoms, the Constitution and the American Dream.
The Tea Party Movement is not a Posse. We are just a group of Patriotic Americans who are tired of what's happening with ALL our Representatives in office.
Many years ago it was proposed that we have a compulsory health insurance program for all people in the United States, and, of course, the American people unhesitatingly rejected this.

Due to the Republicans and Conservatives losing their way and not holding to true Conservative values we now are under control of the Democratic Party, and unfortunately very left wing leaders. We are as close to Socialism as we have ever been in our history as a nation.

We can only support the best candidates that will represent us and make sure we know what they stand for BEFORE we vote and hold them accountable.

This is not a HATE group at all. We welcome all...Conservatives, Democrats, Republicans Independents, ALL. This is my belief and why I have joined several groups. The media and liberals are already lying about the Tea Party Groups. I really don't care what they say..I am not surprised.

But we are not hateful or Anti Government. We are Patriots..this is the way I feel

My belief about doctors is that for the majority of them that they're priests in white coats. I think that they want to get "everyone" hooked on their mind altering drugs that they want you to believe are for diabetes or any other major illness.

I just joined today, because the Government ( Social Security) just snagged an account for NYS Child Support in the amount of $6,175.22.
I'm only going to have $150.00, when they get done with it. I should have kept my mouth and kept the money. I'll never trust the Government again. How do I join the posse? LOL

Maryanne, thanks for the comment. Funny thing about doctors in the US, they never have protested much for themselves, and unlike in many nations where they actually go out on strike, we do not want to hurt the patients we serve. So, I think doctors that speak up will be a minority. But, only 17% of MD's belong to the AMA, which myself and most others do not feel represents us. (They went with Obama.) And as for the Unions, they are no longer what they once were. Now they seem to be political weapons of the very far left, something quite antithetical to the American worker. The time is now to elect people who truly have the American people's good in their heart, and not just a desire for money, fame and power, which seems to be the norm in Washington. George washington said that only a true scoundrel would enrich himself in public office. I guess that says it all.

I am new to this, but I hope I can make a contribution. We are in some terrible mess. I am a physician of 25 years in practice, former captain US Army Medical Corps, and I have considered myself a liberal these many years, having been pro-union and pro civil rights while a student down south in the 60's. I am horrified at the turns we have taken as a nation, and afraid for the future of my children and the nation. We have allowed our sense of national security to be gutted by political correctness and wishful thinking. We do not know evil when we look at it anymore in the world. We have allowed our nations finances and industry to be destroyed by progressive thinkers of both parties. While I could not vote for any Democrat the way things are going, the Republican Party has its share of blame here also. Three of the worst things done to us were done by the GOP. 1. Richard Nixon in 1973 took us off the gold standard. This has allowed the Feds to print money at will, devaluing everything we own. 2. Richard Nixon again in 1973 ignored the crisis of the Oil Embargo, and did not respond with appropriate force, i.e. a battleship off Saudi Arabia, thus starting the most massive outflow of American wealth out of this nation into the hands of the very barbarians who have attacked us on 9-11 and elsewhere since. 3. Ronald Reagan, who has some of my most favorite quotes, and G. Bush Sr. both encouraged our industry and business to send their work overseas in the disastrous policy of fair trade. We are the only nation who does not protect its own. The town that I practice in had 5 factories when I was a boy, and now it has none and lots of unemployment. To be certain, the immediate danger is Obama and his ilk, but we cannot replace these far leftists with GOP candidates who care nothing for the people. We must grow back our once superb industry and business. We make nothing here in the US anymore. Let's change that. How else can we get America's strength back? Lets get back on the Gold Standard and eliminate deficit spending as well as to the entitlement programs that reward those who are able bodied, yet do nothing. There is so much to be corrected.

The Democrats have destroyed NY State in a few short years. And they can take all the credit. Patterson took over for Spitzer. The majority federal and state legislators are Democrat and the Attorney General. I feel for you too. You have Dodd and Delauro

I love NY!! (ct native).. and with all the Business I never understood why NY leans so anti-business with the Democrats ..I thought maybe... like me... we are all to busy doing business, and we didn't get out to the polls.

This is a great start..Who donated to your congressman..Senator. Below is Maffei..unfortunately my congressman. Among his donors..Nancy Pelosi, Unions, Banks, Drug Companies, Auto...hmmm didn't we bail these guys out?

Good start to show who paid off who and now they own these guys/girls in office. Payback= healthcare, bank bailouts, free healthcare for Unions, etc

Hey guys. I am on a conference call with Tea Party Patriots tonight at 9:00 but would like to get back to doing a leaders call again as we did months back with organizers throughout the state. We used to do calls on Thursday nights at 9:00. I have an account with a free conference call service.

We each need to do a status of our local area. Example of status as follows:
Judy Pepenella, CSA - Targets are: CD1, 2, 4, and 5 on LI; NYS Senate, Brian Foley & Craig Johnson; NYS Assembly - Reelect Dean Murray and several others out here on LI; the gillibrand and smuch; Governor.

If we all put this type of document together in a discussion, we can get an idea of what we are doing locally and how we can help each other state wise.

Additionally I would like to suggest that since there are too many names of ning sites..there is tea party.org, tea party patriots, american grassroots, resistnet, and a whole lot more..that we gather an informational document of all leaders. This document should contain the name of the contact, group name (website/meetup), contact phone number, email and any other contact info you want to share.

I do NOT have a problem creating a document for everyone and sharing it on a google document with all. This way it is not OWNED by one group, but by the leaders in NYS. I really do not care what group a person is a part of, nor what title they hold. I am with one group on the exec board, and a state co-coordinator for TPP and have been for a year. Why? no one wanted to do it and I stepped up to do it. Not for the title, for the fact we needed a person to take the step forward. I feel that ALL groups, 912, tea party (all of them) and or free standing groups need to work together. We may not agree on all social issues BUT we agree on the core values.

Anyone that wants to get involved, let me know. I am willing to put forth the time and effort to make this work.
