Local Tea Party Groups

Understanding the mechanics of how the groups work is the first hurdle in getting folks active. The next hurdle is in getting all the members we have onsite ONTO their state group. The Florida group has 226 members on it, but there are 58 pages of Florida members onsite. That's 21 members per page, or well over 1,000 members.

To find these members, all you need to do is click on the members tab, then look for the rectangular search box in the upper left corner of the page. Type in the two letter abbreviation for your state, FL and you will see how many pages of Florida residents are here. I've tried getting members to find their state groups, but most of them are too couputer & internet illiterate to do so, without being hand-led to the group.

At this point, all I can suggest is that you get some volunteers to do this. It is much too arduous of a task for one person to do. But that is why I have chosen leaders like yourself. You need to find people who have the time, then send them out to draw the sheeple into your fold. This is why we have been posting a link on all new members' comments as they come onto the site, to hopefully get them to join their state groups.

What you need to do is inform your volunteers to how to find members from your state and individually post the following message on their comments boxes. You can highlight, copy and paste the message below and post it on Florida members comment boxes:

We need YOU to join your Florida Tea Party group! Please click on the link below and look for the tab at the top of the group page that says, 'Join Group' Click on it to join, and please get involved!

Tony, I totally agree we don't need a fourth party, (we already have three, the third is a mixture of what is left over from the first two) What we really need is a way to confirm that the people we elect into office take up our cause and beliefs and we have to draw up a list of thing we believe in and make them sign on. Here are a few suggestion:
1. Remove the elite privileges that puts congress above the rest of the contry.
2. Require all laws that apply to the rest of the country, to equally apply to congress.
3. Repeal Congress’ right to vote themselves a raise.
4. Demand the federal budget be balanced each year, force congress to live within their means like the rest of us.
5. Require congress pay into the social security system and have no other federal funded retirement, require them to find their own private 401k abolish the federal retirement system for all congressmen.
6. Limit terms to 8 years like president.
7. Require congress to provide their own insurance like all other American citizens.
8. Take all savings from the above and give it to the defenders of our country, our military.
9. Start no war you don’t intend to win.
10. Demand we make english our national language.
11. Abolish the electoral college and let we the people vote in whom ever we please by popular vote.
12. Bring back universal service like JFK said "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country"
12. Demand we protect our boarders, manufacture our own energy, our own food, our own steel and all the other products we use to make right here in the U.S.A.

Exactly Bob ...

Brian noted below "I don't know that the problem is with the politicians. It is the two party system that causes the issues we are seeing." ... I have to disagree with that, and agree with Bob.

The problem IS the politicians! Individuals with NO experience in building businesses, creating jobs, developing value for themselves or society. Individuals with NO concern about balancing the budget (just like any home-owner or family man/woman has to do to survive).

These untrained, inexperienced, ignoramaces trying to tell us how to live, where to live, how to spend our money, ... every aspect of our life, and even stating "the public is too stupid to do it themselves, so we have to".

What ever happened to the Constitution, which give the government authority over PROTECTION ONLY! ??? The point most forget is that the government CANNOT create any jobs (except government jobs) -- the job creation we need can ONLY come from the free enterprise system (as we have proven for 200 years) WITHOUT government restriction and control. And, that will never happen as long as we have inexperienced politicians with the mind of "spend, spend, tax, tax" -- and NO concept of a balanced bottom line as businesses and homeowners MUST!

Party line makes no difference -- they all, Democrat, Republican, Independents, and yes, even some of the Tea Party -- if they are "politicians" they are "thieves and incompetents". They must be replaced with honest, loving, job creating business men and women who believe in the restrictions of the Constitution and bring this country back to what the founding fathers intended! Only then will we see a turn-around in employment and prosperity in this once great nation.

Where are those BUSINESSMEN and BUSINESSWOMEN willing to step up and replace the corrupt political system with honesty, love and job creation?

On a recent Glenn Beck Show, he had a graph that illustrated the percentage of each past president's cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet. You know what the private business sector is... a real life business, not a government job. Here are the percentages discussed by Mr. Beck.

T. Roosevelt........ 38%
Taft.....................40%
Wilson ................. 52%
Harding................49%
Coolidge.............. 48%
Hoover................. 42%
F. Roosevelt......... 50%
Truman.................50%
Eisenhower.......... 57%
Kennedy.............. 30%
Johnson................47%
Nixon................... 53%
Ford..................... 42%
Carter.................. 32%
Reagan.................56%
GH Bush.............. 51%
Clinton ................. 39%
GW Bush............. 55%

And the winner of the Chicken Dinner is..............
Obama................ 8% !!!
Yep! Thats right! Only Eight Percent!!!..the least by far of the last 19 presidents!! And these people are trying to tell our big corporations how to run their business? They know what's best for GM...Chrysler... Wall Street... and you and me?

How can the president of a major nation and society...the one with the most successful economic system in world history... stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one?.. or about jobs when he has never really had one??!

And neither has 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers.! They've spent most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit jobs....or as "community organizers" ..when they should have been in an employment line.

GOD HELP US!!

FYI HOUSE SEATS UP FOR RE-ELECTION 2010

Suzanne Kosmas (D) of Florida's 24th congressional district:
Suzanne Kosmas defeated three-term Republican Tom Feeney in 2008 by 57%. However, her victory is in large part because Feeney was tainted with his connections to Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff and 2008 was a Democratic sweep year, meaning Kosmas isn't necessarily favored to win in 2010, in a district that the Cook Partisan Voting Index gives a 4-point advantage for Republicans. Announced Republican candidates include State Representatives Dorothy Hukill and Sandy Adams, and Winter Park city commissioner Karen Diebel.

ALERT ALERT

Fact Check:   'Joe Biden Claims ‘We Didn’t Lock People Up In Cages’

CLAIM: Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed, on immigration: “We didn’t lock people up in cages.”

VERDICT: FALSE. The “cages” were built by the Obama-Biden administration.

Univision moderator Jorge Ramos asked Biden at the third Democrat debate at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, why Latinos should trust him after the Obama administration continued deporting “undocumented immigrants.”

Biden claimed that the Obama administration’s policies were more humane than those of President Donald Trump: “We didn’t lock people up in cages,” he said.

In fact, the “cages” were built by the Obama administration to deal with a surge of unaccompanied minors who crossed the border illegally in 2014.

Originally, the Obama administration was “warehousing” children — literally — in overwhelmed Border Patrol facilities. Breitbart News broke the story of the surge, which was partly triggered by Obama’s policy of allowing illegal alien children who entered the country as minors to stay in the country (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA).

The above photo was published by the Associated Press in June 2014, and the photo below is of Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, touring a Border Patrol facility with “cages.”

The “cages” are chain-link enclosures in Border Patrol processing facilities that are meant to protect children from adults in custody. They are not permanent accommodations.

In mid-2018, as the Trump administration began enforcing a “zero tolerance” policy that stopped the “catch-and-release” policy of letting illegal aliens go after they were arrested. Detaining adults and children meant that children had to be processed separately; the enclosures prevented adults from harming children.

As Breitbart News reported at the time, children were not housed in “cages.” They were processed and then taken to shelters, where they were given medical care, toiletries, education, recreation, and counseling, and where staff attempted to find relatives or sponsors to whom they could be released.

Democrats began tweeting images of “kids in cages” to condemn the Trump administration. Journalists, too, shared those images.

One problem: they were taken during the Obama administration.

Public outrage at the images led President Trump to end the policy, and require families to be detained together.

Democrats keep repeating the mistake, however: in July, they had to delete a tweet that used an image from the Obama era and cited the “inhumane treatment” of children by the Trump administration.

Republicans argue that not detaining illegal aliens is actually the cruel policy, because it encourages migrants to undertake a dangerous journey, often guided by cartels and smugglers.

As Breitbart News’ Alana Mastrangelo noted recently:

But what’s worse than “cages,” however, are reports of migrant children also being handed over to human traffickers during the Obama administration — while Biden was vice president — according to the New York Times. Between October 2013 and July 2015 alone, nearly 80,000 unaccompanied children from Central American countries were detained by U.S. authorities.

It remains unclear how many of the tens of thousands of children were handed over to human traffickers — including sex traffickers — during that span of nearly two years, as those cases are reportedly not tracked.

“Others were ransomed by the very smugglers to whom their families paid thousands of dollars to sneak them into the United States,” reported the New York Times in 2015, during Obama’s presidency and Biden’s vice presidency. “Some lost limbs during the journey or found themselves sold into sexual slavery.”

Biden told voters in South Carolina last month that he would close all border detention facilities, guaranteeing that the migrant flow would continue.
