WHY MAINSTREAM MEDIA WEBSITES ARE CENSORING & REMOVING COMMENT SECTIONS

Google’s new tool, Perspective, works by comparing comments left on news websites to comments left on Wikipedia and the New York Times that were deemed “toxic” by a team of human reviewers.

The only criteria given for what constitutes a “toxic” comment is that it causes someone to leave a conversation. Obviously, this could also include someone who lost a debate or who is merely offended or triggered by another comment.

With trust in mainstream media plummeting, the real goal behind the censorship and in some cases entire removal of comment sections is to manipulate public opinion.

As the Daily Tech revealed, Popular Science admitted that the decision to pull its comment section was in order to preach a “scientific doctrine” on global warming without being challenged.

Popular Science acknowledged that their decision was based on a study by Dominique Brossard, a Life Sciences Communication professor at the Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison, that appeared in the February 2013 edition of the peer-reviewed Journal of Computer-Mediated Communications.

And this is what you have going on right now with mainstream media outlets. They are supposed to be allowing US citizens discuss and fact check their articles but now your seeing their own personal bias become the news. Big shout out to Infowars!

Are there any bridges left in Chicago... almost as bad as Detroit.

So are Aldous Huxley's works.  Brave New World now is claimed, by the leftists who, during my college days, were promulgating Huxley as well as Orwell as heroes of the liberal realm, to be only satire and not in any way prophetic.

I, as well as today's environment, disagree.  Huxley and Orwell alike were spot-on in prediction of our fishbowl, government-oppressed life.

The election of President Trump, the very first in our executive office who is not a career politician but is, rather, a very successful businessman is hopefully the harbinger of a brighter and better future than either of those two doomsayers have foretold.

Hopefully.

We shall see...

Yes, it fits.  Trump is our John Galt.

You don't think he fits?

" The study found that, “People reacted neutrally when comments were disabled, but even when comments were generally positive their reactions did not noticeably improve. However, when the reader feedback took on a “less civil” tone with people questioning the merits of nanotechnology, user perception of the publication itself (not just the topic discussed) took a decidedly negative turn.”

In other words, the credibility of the article in question is largely dependent on the tone of the comments left in response. The more negative, uncivil and “toxic” the tone, the less likely the reader is to trust the article and the publication.

Once these “toxic” comments are removed, the reader is more likely to trust CNN, the New York Times, or whoever publishes the article.

Any technology developed by Silicon Valley to combat so-called “hate speech” is inevitably going to have a liberal bias baked in.

Last year, Facebook was forced to admit that it was manually gaming its ‘trending’ section algorithm to stifle conservative topics.

Twitter has also become increasingly stringent on policing content, censoring search results and deeming certain tweets “low quality,” a completely subjective definition. Numerous prominent conservatives have been banned by Twitter in recent months.

This is all part of the effort to segregate Internet content into social media ghettos and then censor that content, as Matt Drudge warned about during his 2015 appearance on the Alex Jones Show. "

It use to be the federal government was pushing We The People into a mold of One Size Fits All not We The People know it is liberals, democrats, progressives, RINO's, anti-United States of America, for President Trump, his administration - witch the senate keeps holding up the conformation hearings and full senate votes on - and We The People want To Make America Great Again!!!!

VERY  WELL  STATED

controlling exactly what people think, MSM 'news'  = 'that is our job'

They are getting their asses handed to them in these comment sections and yes, it's an attempt to censor, pushing their false-narratives into the world without anyone there to challenge it. Just glad to see folks paying attention to this. VERY IMPORTANT TO COMBAT CENSORSHIP

There is none of the so-called hate speech present on any of Google's public commentary spots, nor has there ever been.  If there had been any of that kind of speech, it would still be extant.

"He who controls the past controls the future"

"He who controls the present controls the past"

don't trust any of them EVER AGAIN

ALERT ALERT

Fact Check:   'Joe Biden Claims ‘We Didn’t Lock People Up In Cages’

CLAIM: Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed, on immigration: “We didn’t lock people up in cages.”

VERDICT: FALSE. The “cages” were built by the Obama-Biden administration.

Univision moderator Jorge Ramos asked Biden at the third Democrat debate at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, why Latinos should trust him after the Obama administration continued deporting “undocumented immigrants.”

Biden claimed that the Obama administration’s policies were more humane than those of President Donald Trump: “We didn’t lock people up in cages,” he said.

In fact, the “cages” were built by the Obama administration to deal with a surge of unaccompanied minors who crossed the border illegally in 2014.

Originally, the Obama administration was “warehousing” children — literally — in overwhelmed Border Patrol facilities. Breitbart News broke the story of the surge, which was partly triggered by Obama’s policy of allowing illegal alien children who entered the country as minors to stay in the country (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA).

The above photo was published by the Associated Press in June 2014, and the photo below is of Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, touring a Border Patrol facility with “cages.”

The “cages” are chain-link enclosures in Border Patrol processing facilities that are meant to protect children from adults in custody. They are not permanent accommodations.

In mid-2018, as the Trump administration began enforcing a “zero tolerance” policy that stopped the “catch-and-release” policy of letting illegal aliens go after they were arrested. Detaining adults and children meant that children had to be processed separately; the enclosures prevented adults from harming children.

As Breitbart News reported at the time, children were not housed in “cages.” They were processed and then taken to shelters, where they were given medical care, toiletries, education, recreation, and counseling, and where staff attempted to find relatives or sponsors to whom they could be released.

Democrats began tweeting images of “kids in cages” to condemn the Trump administration. Journalists, too, shared those images.

One problem: they were taken during the Obama administration.

Public outrage at the images led President Trump to end the policy, and require families to be detained together.

Democrats keep repeating the mistake, however: in July, they had to delete a tweet that used an image from the Obama era and cited the “inhumane treatment” of children by the Trump administration.

Republicans argue that not detaining illegal aliens is actually the cruel policy, because it encourages migrants to undertake a dangerous journey, often guided by cartels and smugglers.

As Breitbart News’ Alana Mastrangelo noted recently:

But what’s worse than “cages,” however, are reports of migrant children also being handed over to human traffickers during the Obama administration — while Biden was vice president — according to the New York Times. Between October 2013 and July 2015 alone, nearly 80,000 unaccompanied children from Central American countries were detained by U.S. authorities.

It remains unclear how many of the tens of thousands of children were handed over to human traffickers — including sex traffickers — during that span of nearly two years, as those cases are reportedly not tracked.

“Others were ransomed by the very smugglers to whom their families paid thousands of dollars to sneak them into the United States,” reported the New York Times in 2015, during Obama’s presidency and Biden’s vice presidency. “Some lost limbs during the journey or found themselves sold into sexual slavery.”

Biden told voters in South Carolina last month that he would close all border detention facilities, guaranteeing that the migrant flow would continue.
