Senior White House advisers are taking very seriously the possibility that Republicans in Congress will try to impeach President Obama, especially if he takes executive action to slow deportations.

Dan Pfeiffer, a senior adviser to Obama, said Friday that the White House is taking the prospect of impeachment in the GOP-controlled House more seriously than many others in Washington, who see it as unlikely.

Pfeiffer noted that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has a large following among Tea Party conservatives, has called for Obama’s impeachment and a large block of the GOP’s base favors it.

“I saw a poll today that had a huge portion of the Republican Party base saying they supported impeaching the president. A lot of people in this town laugh that off. I would not discount that possibility,” he told reporters Friday at a breakfast sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor.

Pfeiffer said Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) decision to file a lawsuit against Obama over his use of executive actions increased the chance of impeachment proceedings in the future.

He said that possibility could become more likely if Obama takes executive action to halt the deportations of illegal immigrants who have strong ties to the United States, such as those who have family members who are U.S. citizens.

POLL: Do you consider Obama to be a weak President?

“I think Speaker Boehner, by going down the path of this lawsuit, has opened the door to Republicans possibly considering impeachment at some point in the future,” he said.

Palin wrote an op-ed for Breitbart earlier this month calling for Obama’s impeachment because of his handling of the surge of unaccompanied minors from Central America on the Texas border, calling it the “last straw that makes the battered wife say ‘no mas.’

She has also criticized Boehner’s lawsuit as a weak move.

Boehner has pushed back against pressure from Palin and other conservatives.

“I disagree,” he told reporters this month.

get the senate and start impeachent for all laws not enforced and direlection of duties

Exactly, must take the Senate from the Socialist/Democrats FIRST, B/4 we can even begin this clean-up.  (Then the Rinos.)

With impeachment on-the-table it is very unlikely that our dear leader will not be open to scrutiny at every move towards a "pen," or a "phone!!!"

You know that Obama is skating on thin ice when Senator Mark Udall won't show up for a private fund raiser with Obama being the keynote speaker.  A year ago, Udall was all in and a staunch Obama supporter, now he doesn't want to be seen in public with BHO. What a difference a year makes....

But 3 out of every 4 democrats would still die for King Obama.  They are as guilty of all the wrongs as he is !

If you do this ! First move is to force the courts to open all of Barry's sealed records. IMHO that will produce a firestorm when the nation realizes, that again IMHO this charlatan is an imposter and not a US citizen ! Hence forth not eligible to be POTUS. Which means every law and executive order this fake has signed will be null and void !!! Now action two. The indictment of the demo-ratic party for allowing someone not a citizen to even run for the office of POTUS as IMHO again that is tantamount to TREASON and all in the Demo-ratic party members knowingly or unknowingly (You can be jailed for unknowingly giving aid to a conspiracy to over throw the USA.) involved jailed and never allowed near a public office again, loss of all bennies and paying back all salaries and perks given. Crush the Demo-rats for the next 50 years. My friends I know this may well lead to civil war but better now than give the communist left another chance to destroy us ! Which if they ever truly get power they will like Hitler start filling those FEMA camps with their political opponents. Then like Stalin begin the killing.

Terrific plan.  You didn't leave a stone unturned.  He needs to be incarcerated  first along with the VP, current senate majority leader and former speaker of the house.  Its obvious they knew he wasn't eligible.

I agree...anyone who has to have their records sealed has more than a forged BC to hide!!

Debera,

What ONE person cam seal, andother can UN-seal.  How is it done?  Computer hacker? Court Order?  Computer hacker?  Congressional order?  Computer hacker?  WELL PAID computer hacker?

WHERE IS EDWARD SNOWDEN WHEN WE NEED HIM

OK Mr President,If you do that one more time we'll impeach you,Ok Mr President if you do that one more time...With a big fat sure you will.Obama has done his homework so well on people in our government he can blackmail any one of them.

Where is the evidence that they are taking impeachment more seriously. All i see is they are using it for fundraising for the low information democrats as a scare tactic, saying Obama is a victim of abuse by the Republicans,

Joe Biden Talks To The Dead: – He Worked On Paris Climate Deal With Long-Dead Chinese Leader

Former Vice President Joe Biden mistakenly claimed on Monday that he worked on the Paris Climate Accord with former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping — who died more than 20 years before its signing.

Zach Parkinson

Joe Biden claimed tonight that he worked with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping on the Paris Climate Accord.

Except the current Chinese President is Xi Jinping.

Deng Xiapoing left office in 1992 and has been dead for 23 years.

Biden made the gaffe while citing his accomplishments in President Barack Obama’s administration.

“One of the things I’m proudest of is getting passed, getting moved, getting in control of the Paris Climate Accord,” Biden said in a speech at the College of Charleston. “I’m the guy who came back after meeting with Deng Xiaoping and making the case that I believe China will join if we put pressure on them. We got almost 200 nations to join.”

Xiaoping served as the leader of China from 1978 until his retirement in 1992, and passed away in 1997. Xi Jinping, China’s current president, came to power 2013 and signed the country onto the 2016 agreement.

In June 2017, President Trump announced that the U.S. would withdraw from the agreement, stating that accord will “undermine the economy” and “puts [the United States] at a permanent disadvantage.”

In addition to the Xiaoping gaffe, Biden bizarrely declared in a campaign speech that he is a “candidate for the United States Senate” and that people could “vote for the other Biden” if they prefer one of his rivals.

“My name is Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over, if you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden,” the 77-year-old said at the First in the South Dinner.

Biden’s confusing comments come as Democrat primary candidates are scheduled to debate in Charleston Tuesday evening. The former vice president faces increasing pressure to give a standout performance as his “firewall” in the Palmetto State crumbles in the face of a surging Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). The Vermont senator is fresh off a decisive victory in Nevada caucuses on Saturday. Earlier this month, he placed first the New Hampshire primary and won the popular vote in Iowa. In a survey released Monday, the Public Policy Polling outfit said Biden leads South Carolina with 36 percent of support and Sanders is in second at 21 percent.
