VA won't fire officials who defrauded agency, pleaded Fifth

A pair of Department of Veterans Affairs officials who invoked their Fifth Amendment rights earlier this month rather than answer questions about their alleged involvement in a fraud scheme will remain at the agency.

Diane Rubens and Kimberly Graves were both demoted and reassigned to other VA offices as a result of their misconduct, the agency said late Friday. They will each receive a pay cut.

Rubens and Graves were accused of manipulating a VA program that pays for the relocation of employees who have to move long distances to take new jobs within the agency.

According to the VA's inspector general, Rubens created a position for herself in Philadelphia and then accepted it, netting $274,000 in the process. Her new job entailed far fewer responsibilities, but she retained the same six-figure salary.

The Obama administration is full of criminal, liars and thieves.

Those who REFUSE, to fire these SCHEMERS, should themselves be "FIRED"!!!

According to the way the present administration works, I can rob a bank, plead the fifth, get free medicaid, free housing and not have to worry about a thing??????

Privatize VA, open it to alternative healthcare providers. The idea that Big Pharma and AMA are the only ones who know what's right for vets health is ludicrous and part of a big scam aka Psychiatry. Check out The Hidden Enemy...Semper Fi Nam 66-67

Corruption is running rampant in our country!

The bigger question should be, WHO lets them get away with this ?  Politicians have a habit of forgetting THEY work for us ! Sometimes they need to be reminded, this is one of those times.

Our nation is corrupt from top to bottom, the fact if has gone on this long speaks volumes about American citizens.

foo, is that the same as fob ?

This type of CORRUPTION" you speak of  is "EPIDEMIC" throughout ALL levels of Government, from a small Village, to the Township, the County, State and Federal Governments. NO Governments  are immune from CORRUPTION. The cause of this " Destroyer of Nations " is not a Virus or Bacterium that invades the very heart of Government,, but a HUMAN FRAILTY that occurs when the PEOPLE Elect representatives to serve them in various aspects of the Governmental System, , and when the newly elected official becomes familiar with the work, ultimately finds loop holes,  short cuts financial opportunity's, and other things that lead the employee to take  "Risky or ILLEGAL ACTIONS, " And there we have the beginning of CORRUPTION. But we find that most likely the CORRUPTION has gone on for YEARS and new employees find themselves caught up in the corruption from DAY ONE of their employment and say nothing or does not report the corruption for fear of LOSING THEIR JOB !!!! With the "Job Market as it currently exists, JOBS ARE NOT EASY TO FIND, so in this case the employee, using the logic of a person working to feed the Family and Paying the Mortgage and the other niceties of Family life he chooses to remain quiet and go with the flow. CORRUPTION becomes MORE entrenched at this point and everyone become a participant in the CORRUPTION of GOVERNMENT. Even to the point of LYING to  members of the Legal Department and Justice Department who are  PART of the government body, and who may be or may not be PART of the CORRUPTION  cycle themselves. This causes many who are under investigation "PLEAD THE FIFTH AMENDMENT" and walks out of COURT a free person,

All this happens because MAN/WOMAN have CHOSEN to take the course of ILLEGAL ACTIVITY simply because they" WONTONLY surrendered their OWN MORALITY for the sake of  a job, advancement, and  one's own pleasure. The MORALITY of the average person is lacking when the times get tough, and the excuses ring out that "EVERYBODY ELSE IS DOING IT" is merely a lame excuse for becoming a CORRUPT person. Well we all must stand before GOD some day and account for ourselves. It is clear who GOD will chose to gain the Kingdom of Heaven,

They are immoral because there are no reminders of what good vs evil is. BRING GOD BACK.

FIRE THEM and TAKE THEIR PENSION THEN ARREST THEM.

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.

You don't get to interrupt me
