US taxpayers fund Ramadan dinner in Turkey, Muslims burn US flags, injure 7

A crowd protested a fast-breaking iftar meal organized in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır by the U.S. consulate in Adana on July 15, attacking the tent where the food was prepared and served.

Seven people, including a police officer, were injured during the scuffles that erupted after the group’s attack. Two of the injured people underwent surgery.

Some 72 NGOs and associations were invited by the U.S. consul general in Adana, John Espinoza, to the iftar in tents erected by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality in the central Dağkapı Square.

A group gathered nearby to protest the event, burning U.S. flags, and some people from within the group reportedly threw flares at the tents, damaging tables and chairs and prompting police to resort to tear gas.

The U.S. consulate said it “understood the protests” but condemned the attack, noting that a similar iftar event was held during Ramadan last year.

We support the right to protest. But the fact that demonstrators threw all the food prepared is unacceptable. We condemn it,” said Espinoza, adding that the iftar meal was intended to show their commitment to the people of Diyarbakır.

That is a perfect example that we should mind our own business and stay out of other countries. That would of never of happened if we were not in that country.

That is a silly comment.  We are allies with Turkey.  We do not need to APE their customs.  If they wanted to invite Americans from the consulate and educate them about their customs and then host the Muslims at an American picnic to teach some of ours would be fine.

To try to be Muslim for a day is insulting to them and demeaning to us.

Oh, so if Americans were invited to a Muslim event we should do likewise: we should burn the Turkish flag, throw food, and riot.  Any western country should get out of the Middle East and let those people go back to killing each other.  Anyone believing in Islam doesn't belong in the modern world, and especially doesn't belong interacting with a western society.

But why should WE fund THEIR religious holiday feast?  You would not catch them funding a Christmas celebration.

He deserved what happened.  Only stupid people can believe they can save these beasts.  They are sick in the brain from years of incest, venereal diseases, most likely  syphilis and who knows what else.

Chalk up another "Success" for the Obozo Administration!!

One day you ignorant SOBs Americans will pay. The communist rule is if they are so ignorant to let us in one day they will be so ignorant to turn on us. SO kill them

What a happy fun loving group.

I don't care if you held it last year.  It shouldn't even be offered when they hate the U.S.  There's no diplomacy to offer, anymore.  Get out of there and quit trying to make friends with the enemy.

They should have held a pull pork Bar-B-Q and none of those Muslims Protester would have gone near the joint.  I imagine the very aroma entering their lungs would constitute a violation to Allah.

You just gave me a great idea. The next time there is a parade celebrating some sort of Islamic event in some nearby City, we should enter a float in that parade. We could call the float... "Islam in America".

The same way that people on floats throw Candy for the kids, we could have 50 gallon barrels of pulled Pork on the float.... so as we start passing the crowds of adoring Muslims, we hurl hand fulls of pulled Pork and have it rain Pig everywhere. The only problem I see is.... getting out of there alive.

SICK: Leprosy On The Rise In Los Angeles

Ahh, the joys of open borders and Democrat leadership.

California is not just a public toilet but now there is evidence that leprosy is on the rise in Los Angeles County.

Barack Obama changed US law in 2016 and allowed immigrants with blistering STDs and leprosy to migrate to the US.

Medscape reported:

Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is rarely seen in the United States, but cases continue to emerge in Los Angeles County, a new report says.

“Hansen’s disease still exists, and we need to educate medical students and physicians,” coauthor Dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa from Keck Medical Center of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, told Reuters Health by email.

Dr. Ochoa and colleagues identified 187 patients with the disease in a review of medical records from their leprosy clinic spanning 1973 to 2018. Most patients were Latino, originating from Mexico, and they experienced a median delay in diagnosis of more than three years, the team reports JAMA Dermatology, online August 7.

Multibacillary leprosy (MB) cases outnumbered paucibacillary leprosy (PB) cases by nearly eight to one (88.6% vs. 11.4%, respectively), and Latino patients were more likely than non-Latino patients to have MB, as were patients from Central or South America (versus other regions).

Most patients (80.7%) received multidrug therapy, and most (92.6%) received antibiotics for more than two years, especially if they had MB.

Only about half of patients (56.7%) had World Health Organization (WHO) grade 0 disability (no signs or symptoms suggestive of leprosy or disability) at the one-year follow-up, whereas 16.0% had grade 1 disability (loss of protective sensation) and 26.2% had grade 2 disability (visible deformity) at the last follow-up.

Among the patients who lost protective sensation, 87.7% (50/57) did not regain it following therapy.
