Are you ready for war with Russia, and please understand, if Obama and Hillary Clinton get their war China will back up Russia. The issue is so deep and the media owned by the elite, do not see this, if they start a war, most of the world will die, only the elite will survive deep in their underground tunnels.
A Cold War-era storage facility in the Netherlands has been reopened and about to be restocked with tanks by the US military, as part of a drive to demonstrate NATO’s power amid rising ‘Russian aggression’.
1,600 vehicles are due to be stored at a six-warehouse complex in the southeastern village of Eygelshoven, near the Belgian and German borders.
The facility was originally opened in 1985 during the Cold War, when it was used by US troops to practice drills in case of a possible Soviet attack.
Abrams Tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles and Paladin artillery have already started arriving in what is part of a $3.4 billion Congress-approved scheme to increase NATO military capability in Europe. Storage sites are also planned to be reopened in Poland, Belgium and Germany.
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017, which was approved by Congress on December 8 but has yet to be signed by Barack Obama, approved a $3.4 billion spending plan to boost European defenses. The Baltic states, as well as Poland, have said they have been greatly alarmed by the crisis in Ukraine and fear “Russian aggression” on their territories.
“When visiting the Baltic states, I experienced this for myself. Standing there, near the Russian border, you could feel the tense atmosphere,” said General Tom Middendorp, the Dutch chief of defense.
“But the Russian military activities are not just a concern for our eastern allies. They are a concern for all of us.”
“We are taking proportionate and measured steps to defend our alliance. We want to make sure we are sending a clear signal to Russia that we will not accept any violation of NATO’s territorial integrity.”
US President-elect Donald Trump has frequently said he would like to pursue better relations with Russia, and has expressed skepticism towards NATO, saying that European powers would have to contribute a bigger part of the budget if they wanted to continue relying on the alliance’s protection. But in spite of Trump’s election victory, NATO governments have continued to build up their forces in Europe. While the Dutch storage facility is far from the Russian border, on Wednesday Polish Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz announced that 4,000 US troops would be deployed to the western town of Zagan in January. And back in November, the US military sent over 600 containers of ammunition to Germany, the largest single shipment in more than 20 years.
In addition, NATO frequently stages large-scale military exercises in Eastern Europe, the most recent of which being the annual Iron Sword drills in Lithuania which involved almost 4,000 troops from 11 NATO countries. Previous Iron Sword exercises in 2015 and 2014 involved only 2,500 and 2,000 troops, respectively. But this was dwarfed by the Anaconda 2016 exercises held in Poland, which saw 31,000 personnel from 24 NATO and ‘partner’ countries taking part in war games over a ten-day period.
Russian officials, meanwhile, have consistently warned that aggressive NATO maneuvers near Russian territory could undermine regional security. In response to the ongoing NATO activity, Russia and its ally Belarus have supplied the latest state-of-the-art weaponry and armaments to units stationed on their western border as well as launching military drills of their own
Don't hold your breath, Charles !!!!!!
Yes Obama can & probably will do a lot of damage to We The People & to OUR Great Country - not that he has not already done more than enough damage . . .
That is one of the reasons why OUR Bill Of Rights calls for ONLT Eight years (8) that a President Can Hold Office
Once Donald Trump is in office as The President of The United States of America things will be better for All Americans
President Barack Obama has promised to take direct action against Russia over their alleged interference in the presidential election, before he leaves office in January.
In an interview with NPR on Thursday evening, Obama vowed to retaliate against Russia, but refused to detail what that would entail.
“I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections, that we need to take action and we will — at a time and place of our own choosing. Some of it may be explicit and publicized, some of it may not be. But Mr. Putin is well aware of my feelings about this because I spoke to him directly about it.“
The President also announced he will be holding his final press conference of the year at the White House on Friday at 2:15 p.m. ET.
U.S. intelligence officials have concluded that hackers working for Russia hacked into the Democratic National Committee’s computer network, as well as the private email of John Podesta, a top adviser to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
With the question of Russia’s ultimate motivation for the hack becoming increasingly divisive, Obama was careful to not endorse a CIA assessment, reported by NPR and other news outlets, that asserts that Russia’s goal was to elect Trump.
“There are still a whole range of assessments taking place among the agencies,” Obama told NPR, referring to an order he has given the U.S. intelligence community to conduct a full review of the cyberattacks before Inauguration Day. “And so when I receive a final report, you know, we’ll be able to, I think, give us a comprehensive and best guess as to those motivations. But that does not in any way, I think, detract from the basic point that everyone during the election perceived accurately — that in fact what the Russian hack had done was create more problems for the Clinton campaign than it had for the Trump campaign.”
“There’s no doubt that it contributed to an atmosphere in which the only focus for weeks at a time, months at a time were Hillary’s emails, the Clinton Foundation, political gossip surrounding the DNC,” Obama said.
In fact, email had been a major focus since before Clinton formally entered the presidential race, owing to revelations first reported by the New York Times that she used a private email server during her tenure leading the State Department. Updates about the FBI’s investigation of the server dripped out at intervals throughout the entire campaign.
The State Department also released Clinton emails at semi-regular intervals throughout the campaign, as did the conservative group Judicial Watch, which obtained them through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.
Obama didn’t pin the blame for Clinton’s loss on the leaked information, saying, “Elections can always turn out differently. You never know which factors are going to make a difference. But I have no doubt that it had some impact, just based on the coverage.”
Obama said his goal is for a definitive White House report on the matter to be issued before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on Jan. 20. He was also careful to say that while the Russian hacks benefited Trump, he is not suggesting Trump’s campaign helped coordinate the attacks or played any role in them, other than to exploit them for political advantage. “They understood what everybody else understood, which was that this was not good for Hillary Clinton’s campaign,” the president said.
Obama acknowledged that every “big power” spies and collects intelligence on each other, but, he said, “There’s a difference between that and the kind of malicious cyberattacks that steal trade secrets or engage in industrial espionage, something that we’ve seen the Chinese do. And there is a difference between that and activating intelligence in a way that’s designed to influence elections.”
Obama discussed cybersecurity with Vladimir Putin during a 90-minute meeting on the sidelines of the G-20 summit held in China in early September. The president characterized the meeting at the time as “candid, blunt, businesslike.”
While Obama is threatening to retaliate against Russia, he has only about five weeks left in the Oval Office. Trump has dismissed — in fact, mocked — intelligence assessments tying the DNC and Podesta hacks to Russia, and he campaigned on improving the U.S. relationship with the country.
In his interview with NPR, Obama appeared mystified by that stance.
“The irony of all this, of course, is that for most of my presidency, there’s been a pretty sizable wing of the Republican Party that has consistently criticized me for not being tough enough on Russia,” he said. “Some of those folks during the campaign endorsed Donald Trump, despite the fact that a central tenet of his foreign policy was we shouldn’t be so tough on Russia. And that kind of inconsistency I think makes it appear, at least, that their particular position on Russia on any given day depends on what’s politically expedient.”
The president cited a recent Economist-YouGov poll that found Republican voters view Putin much more favorably now than they did before the 2016 presidential election.
“This is somebody, the former head of the KGB, who is responsible for crushing democracy in Russia, muzzling the press, throwing political dissidents in jail, countering American efforts to expand freedom at every turn; is currently making decisions that’s leading to a slaughter in Syria. And a big chunk of the Republican Party, which prided itself during the Reagan era and for decades that followed as being the bulwark against Russian influence, now suddenly is embracing him.”
NPR reached out to the Trump transition team for comment but has not received a response.
Look what I found you all......they lied

WHOA! This return of Pre-Positioned War Stocks is NOT a red flag! Throughout the Cold War the US maintained multiple war stock sites in Europe (known as POMCUS) to allow for the rapid US reinforcement of Europe in the event of war. The Supreme Allied Commander - Europe (SACEUR) and Commander, US European Command (US EUCOM) made a request two years ago to increase the number of Brigade Combat Team Equipment Sets in Europe in order to provide sufficient capabilities to respond to a wide range of potential threats to NATO. These are NOT exclusively focused on Russia, but include many other threats which could destabilize Europe or threaten NATO. Please do not look at this as some kind of renewal of hostilities with Russia. It is NOT! In fact, the reopening of some of our former stockage sites is good for US Military readiness and in no way reduces the numbers of combat and tactical vehicles available to units for training.
Exactly right, David.
Thanks for a sensible, well constructed comment.
I don't agree... due to the effectiveness of modern munitions and their delivery systems, locating pre-positioned equipment and munitions (basic loads) is no longer effective... they are too easily targeted and destroyed.
POMCUS sites are well known, easily targeted , and will be DESTROYED before anyone can arrive to use them... this is especially true in the event of a major crisis/attack. All other crisis and scenarios can be supported using the rapid deployment tactics proven during recent Wars... modern military logistical support systems are designed to handle such rapid deployment and sustained operations.
We don't need another Pearl Harbor... event. POMCUS sites are no longer feasible... they will never survive a first strike in a major assault... All other tactical scenarios occur with sufficient time to move a tailored force, to the region, as needed.
You are of course DISCOUNTING our prevelence in LEAKING all our classified information regarding such "Pre-Positioned War Stocks" to enemy and friend alike, thus making them TARGETS if and when RUSSIAN, ISIS or any combination of enemy forces wish to destroy them prior to our deployment of troops in order to man all that "Preventative" HARDWARE !!!!
We need qualified and battle hardened people to make these decisions in this new age. Keep lawyers and civilians locked up in rooms somewhere in the basement of the Pentagon. We don't need them if we want to "WIN" a WAR !!!! Release them only when we have achieved " VICTORY" !!!!!!
