Are you ready for war with Russia, and please understand, if Obama and Hillary Clinton get their war China will back up Russia. The issue is so deep and the media owned by the elite, do not see this, if they start a war, most of the world will die, only the elite will survive deep in their underground tunnels.
A Cold War-era storage facility in the Netherlands has been reopened and about to be restocked with tanks by the US military, as part of a drive to demonstrate NATO’s power amid rising ‘Russian aggression’.
1,600 vehicles are due to be stored at a six-warehouse complex in the southeastern village of Eygelshoven, near the Belgian and German borders.
The facility was originally opened in 1985 during the Cold War, when it was used by US troops to practice drills in case of a possible Soviet attack.
Abrams Tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles and Paladin artillery have already started arriving in what is part of a $3.4 billion Congress-approved scheme to increase NATO military capability in Europe. Storage sites are also planned to be reopened in Poland, Belgium and Germany.
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017, which was approved by Congress on December 8 but has yet to be signed by Barack Obama, approved a $3.4 billion spending plan to boost European defenses. The Baltic states, as well as Poland, have said they have been greatly alarmed by the crisis in Ukraine and fear “Russian aggression” on their territories.
“When visiting the Baltic states, I experienced this for myself. Standing there, near the Russian border, you could feel the tense atmosphere,” said General Tom Middendorp, the Dutch chief of defense.
“But the Russian military activities are not just a concern for our eastern allies. They are a concern for all of us.”
“We are taking proportionate and measured steps to defend our alliance. We want to make sure we are sending a clear signal to Russia that we will not accept any violation of NATO’s territorial integrity.”
US President-elect Donald Trump has frequently said he would like to pursue better relations with Russia, and has expressed skepticism towards NATO, saying that European powers would have to contribute a bigger part of the budget if they wanted to continue relying on the alliance’s protection. But in spite of Trump’s election victory, NATO governments have continued to build up their forces in Europe. While the Dutch storage facility is far from the Russian border, on Wednesday Polish Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz announced that 4,000 US troops would be deployed to the western town of Zagan in January. And back in November, the US military sent over 600 containers of ammunition to Germany, the largest single shipment in more than 20 years.
In addition, NATO frequently stages large-scale military exercises in Eastern Europe, the most recent of which being the annual Iron Sword drills in Lithuania which involved almost 4,000 troops from 11 NATO countries. Previous Iron Sword exercises in 2015 and 2014 involved only 2,500 and 2,000 troops, respectively. But this was dwarfed by the Anaconda 2016 exercises held in Poland, which saw 31,000 personnel from 24 NATO and ‘partner’ countries taking part in war games over a ten-day period.
Russian officials, meanwhile, have consistently warned that aggressive NATO maneuvers near Russian territory could undermine regional security. In response to the ongoing NATO activity, Russia and its ally Belarus have supplied the latest state-of-the-art weaponry and armaments to units stationed on their western border as well as launching military drills of their own
The U.S. army has deployed tanks and military personnel to Europe amid mounting fears of a war with Russia following accusations that they influenced the U.S. election.
Following Obama’s announcement that he would take “action” against Russia for interfering in the election, the U.S. army were ordered to send tanks to a Cold War site in the Netherlands in preparation for a potential conflict.
The U.S. and Dutch military reopened the Eygelshoven site on Thursday. It will contain “strategically prepositioned critical war stock” including M1 Abrams Tanks and M109 Paladin Self-Propelled Howitzers.
“Three years ago, the last American tank left Europe; we all wanted Russia to be our partner,” said Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, head of U.S. Army Europe. “My country is bringing tanks back,” and “[w]e are signaling our commitment and demonstrating the ability to prepare,” he said.
“That is what Eygelshoven represents. This is the manifestation of 28 nations committed to the security of each other,” he said.
Added Dutch Gen. Tom Middendorp, chief defense staff of the Royal Netherlands Army: “We want to make sure we are sending a clear signal to Russia that we will not accept any violation of NATO’s territorial integrity.”
U.S. Congress earlier this month passed the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, which, as the Wall Street Journal noted, “approved a $3.4 billion spending plan to boost European defenses including reopening or creating five equipment-storage sites in the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, and two locations in Germany.”
NBC News adds:
In September, the U.S. Army began to assemble additional so called Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS) for permanent storage in Europe. The latest shipment includes ammunition.
The additional combat equipment will give the Army the option for another heavy armored brigade. Presently, it has only two light brigades in Europe: 173rd Airborne Brigade and the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment.
Earlier in the year the U.S. had already begun taking steps to confront what the Pentagon described as “an aggressive Russia,” and Reuters wrote in October that NATO was prepping for its “biggest military build-up on Russia’s borders since the Cold War.”
But the restocking of tanks and other equipment at the Dutch site comes as U.S. intelligence officials and politicians have accused Russia of hacking the Democratic National Committee (DNC) computer network and interfering with the 2016 U.S. elections—an accusation repeated by corporate media.
Obama said in an interview with NPR that aired Friday, “I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections … we need to take action. And we will—at a time and place of our own choosing. Some of it may be explicit and publicized; some of it may not be.”
Agencies were still conducting “a whole range of assessments,” and so he couldn’t speak to motivations for the alleged hacks. However, Obama said, they “create[d] more problems for the Clinton campaign than it had for the Trump campaign.”
As The Intercept‘s Sam Biddle wrote this week:
The refrain of Russian attribution has been repeated so regularly and so emphatically that it’s become easy to forget that no one has ever truly proven the claim. There is strong evidence indicating that Democratic email accounts were breached via phishing messages, and that specific malware was spread across DNC computers. There’s even evidence that the attackers are the same group that’s been spotted attacking other targets in the past. But again: No one has actually proven that group is the Russian government (or works for it).
President-elect Donald Trump, for his part, has dismissed the accusations and called them “ridiculous,” and the Kremlin has denounced them as “ludicrous nonsense.”
According to Stephen Cohen, professor emeritus of Russian studies, history, and politics at New York University and Princeton University, “We’re in the most dangerous confrontation with Russia since the Cuban missile crisis. It needs to be discussed.”
Speaking to Democracy Now! on Thursday, Cohen said that “at the moment, it can’t be discussed because of these charges that everybody is a client of [Russian President Vladimir] Putin who disagrees with the mainstream opinion. And it’s coming from the Senate. It’s coming from The New York Times.”
“[O]ne motive is to keep Trump from going to the White House. Another is to delegitimize him before he gets there. But the main motive—and you can hear it clearly—is Trump has said he wants cooperation with Russia, and the war party here that’s against that is determined to stop it,” he said.
Towns and villages in Sweden have been told to make preparations for a possible war with Russia.
Last week the country’s Civil Contingency Agency (MSB) sent letters to local authorities telling them to prepare civil defense infrastructure and procedures for a possible war. The move was prompted by Sweden’s return to the Cold War-era ‘Total Defense Strategy’.
The Anti Media reports:
The letter said the towns should ensure that their emergency sirens work, and should prepare to move operations centers into underground bunkers for the conflict, adding that they should be open to substantial cooperation with the Swedish military.
The Agency’s head of civil defense operations, Magnus Dyberg-Ek, insisted the move was the result of a worsening “security situation in our neighborhood,” saying Sweden had to make preparations over the threat of war breaking out. Other officials indicated a lot of the measures in place are the same as those during the Cold War.
City officials, however, complained they’d neither been provided details on what they’re actually required to do, or any indication of how they’re supposed to pay for these new measures, with many of the municipalities simply lacking the sort of funds to pay for a sudden war.
Not what you think this is.
It is removing (putting it out of reach) needed equipment that our military needs under false pretenses.
They are doing so many things because Trump won the elections. And if by chance they even get a small battle to take place, Obama can declare a National Emergency, . , to stay, and maintain control in the White House. I do not remember what its called....?
Just saying ok...?
It's both... HG
The globalists know what they are doing! ...when a war breaks out, they become "friends" while the people do all the fighting.
Better ready all militias!
He is what the NWO globalist want. Control threw conflict or control threw chaos. They want a world war.
U.S. TANKS in the Netherlands ????? It would seem that just Three Abram Tanks put side by side would take up about 97% of the Netherland land mass !!!!
Seriously though, these moves by NATO in Europe SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE a long time before Russia started their moves on the Ukraine and certainly should have been done with the express enthusiasm of an American President with a strong sense of MILITARY smarts. Obama does not fit that description nor does he fit the job as an AMERICAN PRESIDENT. He is a VERY WEAK and woefully inadequate COMMANDER IN CHIEF and a disgrace to the Country and FLAG that he represents. He is regarded by the rest of the world as a" Big Talker with no Cajones" !!!!
The sooner "TRUMP" takes the HELM the better, but he rest of Europe and the World had better get used to the idea of PAYING with their MONEY and BLOOD to stop the actions of Russia, China, North Korea, and any other adversaries that are on the "Game Board". America will no longer be the sole or majority banker of any conflicts that affects our Treaty Nations.
The United States had better get used to handling "with LESS restraint", the myriads of "HATE AMERICA" snowflakes that have cropped up with the advent of the recent "National Elections" !!!! We certainly DO NOT NEED homegrown ANARCHISTS, COMMUNISTS and PROGRESSIVES that would fight against us here at home while we engage the enemy elsewhere. Maybe the opening of a new annex at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, would be a sufficient "Holding Pen" for those activists who side with the enemies of the USA. It sure would clean the AIR in America, which would fit the incessant narrative of many of the potential detainees !!!!
It's a NEW WORLD and one which had better"THINK FIRST BEFORE COMMITTING ITSELF" to ANY MILITARY ACTIONS. The RISK, is too GREAT !!!! BUT YIELDING to a WORLD DICTATORSHIP is NOT AN OPTION !!!!!
Military guy in the know told me on the phone today this is much ado about nothing.
The pre-positioning of armor and assorted basic loads at cold war 'POMCUS' sites is not a minor issue... given the capability of Russian Airpower and special operations troops these sites become magnets for destruction... Pearl Harbor... Anyone?
I agree that moving large numbers of Armor from the US makes defense of the US Mainland problematic, should China or Russia invade using the Alaskan avenue of approach. This becomes doubly troublesome if America is engaged in an internal civil conflict. I am reminded that Russia has made advances in the Aelutian Islands recently. Why?
America's warehousing of Tanks etc. overseas in (NOT VERY CLASSIFIED LOCATIONS) is only an invitation to Russia to send a few dozen of their Missiles/ Drones Westward, and eliminate the threat without having one of their soldiers leave Moscow. ( Must have been an OBAMA Commander in Chief dictated standing order !!!!) Obama is such a masterful Military Tactician !!!!
3 Hope that "Guy in the know" isn't the dude that is "peelin' Spuds" in the Kitchen of the Chow Hall !!!! Hahahahah!!!! he probably has some idea about the world situation too !!!!
