Trump pitches 37 percent cut to State Department budget

Image result for state department budget slashingThe Trump administration is proposing a 37 percent spending cut for the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), according to multiple reports.

U.S. officials say the suggested decrease would likely require laying off employees, including security contractors at diplomatic facilities overseas, The Associated Press said Tuesday.

The AP said development assistance would likely take the biggest hit, citing officials familiar with the proposal.

The agencies together received $50.1 billion during the current fiscal year, it added, a little more than 1 percent of the total federal budget.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday said he would oppose drastic cuts to the State Department.

We don't need security contractors at the State Department... Issue the staff personal carry weapons in high risk areas, and use the US Marine Corps to provide primary security.  Cut all USAID aid to countries that have historically been hostile to America...  Cut back the staff by 20% and let the other 80% know that they are next if they don't pick up the slack.

Looks like Trump is looking at government like it's in Chapter 11, and trimming the fat and unnecessary personnel.  FINALLY.....

Our great leader Trump strikes again. The State Department should retrench from a ton of useless places where the swamp established US delegations. We have enough things to take care of at home. We don't need a bloated State Department. - Let's just hope Congress won't stand in opposition to our great leader again. Otherwise Trump will have to get rid of this opposition somehow and also of the opposition in the courts. We need Trump to rule supreme over the US and her people so that he can make America great again. Opposition to Trump is not needed!

TROLLS not welcome.

Paul, we don't have a closed society and a great or 'supreme leader' ... America has a 'President' whose powers are limited by our Constitution... Congress and the Courts, may be corrupt but the President must deal with them using Constitutional means (lawful means)... He can't just  shut them down.

We don't want our President to RULE SUPREME... that, goes totally against our heritage and founding father's intent for governing in America.  Why continue to ignore the heart of the issue by sarcastically portraying the Tea Party Patriot as wanting a totalitarian form of government?

The true Patriot desires limited, legitimate, lawful, Constitutional government and leaders who will not place their needs, and those of their ruling cabal, ahead of the people's needs. We are not against lawful, constitutional, opposition... In fact, such opposition is healthy in our form of government.

America doesn't need or have a supreme leader...

North Korea · Supreme leader
North Korea · Supreme leader
Kim Jong - Un

What are you talking about? I am in favor of "lawful, constitutional, opposition" as well. We talked about this before. But I certainly don't like any opposition and dissent to Trump. If you read comments on this site, you will note that none of us do. Almost everyone here goes against rinos in the legislative and misguided judges when they go against Trump. And so we should. Our leader Trump needs to reign supreme, he needs to control the legislative and the judiciary, not even mentioning the media. That's why we also need to fight the legislative and judiciary. If you really read this site you'll see that I am with the huge majority. As a matter of fact, show me criticism of Trump on this site and I might change my mind. You might be the only one who suggests such a thing and in turn I suggest you start watching CNN.

Paul...

I believe that some of your terminology and expressions are over the top... supreme leader, Trump needs to reign supreme, control the legislative and the judiciary...

No, we need a Constitutional President who uses the Constitution too reign in excesses in government... we don't need a supreme leader... N. Korea has a supreme leader.  We don't need a dictator who runs over the Constitution and exceeds his Constitutional authority. We need a lawful and thoughtful President capable of enforcing Constitutional law and reigning in an out of control bureaucracy and federalism.

It may sound like it is over the top to you but it is accurate. Also we don't need to compare ourselves to N. Korea (which incidentally calls itself a Republic like we do but unlike the US they include "Democratic" in their official name as well). The Constitution gives powers to the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judiciary but we the people are against any overreach of the Legislative and the Judiciary if they are in opposition to Trump, are we not? Or are you trying to say that it's legitimate and lawful that Ryan, McConnell, judges, etc are exercising their power to oppose our president? Trump needs to demolish them all, doesn't he? How else can he put his agenda in place to make America great AGAIN as it was when the president didn't have to deal with a renegade judiciary or legislative? There is too much opposition and dissent to our great leader whom we support through thick and thin. So, let's not squabble amongst ourselves and give Trump unconditional support especially in the face of the opposition and dissent he encounters as we are doing here on this site where we also support each other in this effort.

" The EPA’s reductions are less severe, with as much as 24 percent of its budget possible getting pruned according to reports Monday.

Trump officials will purportedly float a $6.1 billion budget for the EPA next year, a $2 billion cut from current levels.

Reports said the plan could result in layoffs for 20 percent of EPA staff, reducing its total employment to 15,000 to 12,000 workers.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Tuesday said Trump’s reported plans for his first budget were “dead on arrival.” RINO!!!!!

“It’s not going to happen,” he said, according to NBC News. “It would be a disaster. A budget this lean would put those who serve overseas for the State Department at risk. And it’s not going to happen.”

Trump’s first budget proposal is slated for a March 16 lease, but a lack of details about its contents is already fueling bipartisan concerns. "

" Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday said he would oppose drastic cuts to the State Department. " RINO!!!!

You know... Trump needs to get real tough ... he should tell McConnell and the RINO's that their budget is DOA he won't sign it... Trump should shut down the government except for essential services... Constitutional functions and go about his business without worrying about funding any of the other programs... let them die on the vine... to hell with the RINO's let's get the WAR ON NOW... while we at least have the White House... we certainly don't have Congress.

Time to get TOUGH Mr. President... send Mitch and Paul a PINK SLIP with your budget... tell them that you included a specific line item to defund their seats in Congress... and let the punks think on that.  Of course, none of this will happen, albeit I would be nice to see this gesture made... Punch those two bums squarely in the nose... Defund their positions. They can serve without pay....  that's all there worth.

We don't need or want most of the state dept. We don't have to be in all these countries we are not Globalist. Keep them only where we need them.  How is all that money spent???

There are 15,000 employees doing what?

It's not just the State Dep. that is bloated ! The entire government is bloated ! It's full of inept jackasses that hire their inept friends, that simply coudn't make a living in the private sector ! Our government today, has been designed to protect itself !  How many government officials that we know of, are guilty of  crimes, and have never been charged ? Let alone convicted ! President Trump and his staff along with us have a huge challenge ahead, trying to fix "GOVERNMENT GONE WILD" !

Pay-Back !!! Pedophile Who Assaulted Nearly 200 Kids Stabbed To Death In Prison

A convicted pedophile who abused almost 200 children was stabbed to death in North Yorkshire, England, on Sunday.

Richard Huckle, 33, from Ashford, Kent, was given 22 life sentences in 2016 after he admitted to sexually abusing 71 kids whose ages ranged from six months to 12 years between 2006 and 2014, according to the BBC.

The report said Huckle was attacked with a makeshift knife while inside his cell at the Full Sutton Prison.

At the pedophile’s trial in 2016, investigators said they found over 20,000 indecent photos and videos of his assaults, which were shared with other pedophiles via a site on the dark web called The Love Zone.

Reports said that prior to his arrest, Huckle posed as an English teacher and Christian volunteer worker in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he groomed impoverished children.

In one of his online posts, Huckle reportedly wrote “Impoverished kids are definitely much easier to seduce than middle-class Western kids.”

Reports said he attempted to make money from his crimes by crowdfunding the release of the photos.

“Huckle also created a 60-page ‘how-to’ guide for other pedophiles seeking to evade being caught, and kept a scorecard and points system regarding the children who were abused — leading investigators to speculate he may have as many as 200 victims,” a Fox News report stated.

At his sentencing in 2016, Judge Peter Rook condemned Huckle for his heinous crimes he said had become routine for the pedophile.

Rook commented:

Your offending behavior became entrenched in your everyday life. Your life revolved around your sexual activities with young children. Your distorted beliefs in respect of children are deep-seated. Your self-delusion knows no bounds. It is also clear that, had you not been arrested, you planned to continue the same lifestyle using the expertise that you were keen to show off to and share with other abusers so as to continue your sexual exploitation of the children of such communities.

Reports said prior to his death, Huckle refused to cooperate with authorities when they tried to unlock a cache of encrypted files he had access to that may contain the names of victims and other pedophiles, according to Fox News.
