Trump Advisers Call For A 'Purge' Of Obama Appointees

Image result for trump v obamaEarlier this week, in an appearance on Fox News, Trump confirmed his beliefs that Obama is behind the litany of leaks that have plagued his administration over the past couple of months.

"No, I think he [Obama] is behind it, because his people are certainly behind it. I also think it is politics, that's the way it is."

And while the source of the leaks may be easy to deduce, the appropriate response is not so easy to implement.  That said, there is a growing chorus of advisers to the President who are urging him to purge the government of former Obama political appointees and quickly install more people who are loyal to him.

Newt Gingrich is among those calling for such a purge...per Politico:

"His playbook should be to get rid of the Obama appointees immediately," said Newt Gingrich, a top surrogate. "There are an amazing number of decisions that are being made by appointees that are totally opposed to Trump and everything he stands for. Who do you think those people are responding to?"

Gingrich added: "Ninety-five percent of the bureaucrats are against him."

Meanwhile, Gingrinch offered a backhanded compliment to Schumer, saying "I didn't get it early on. This is not about slowing down the Cabinet. This is about keeping working control of the government for Obama.  It's actually very shrewd on Schumer's part."

Gingrich said he blamed Sen. Chuck Schumer for slow-walking the nominees, though Schumer's office notes that many of the picks were not properly vetted: At least three have already dropped out. The Office of Government Ethics remains overwhelmed with applications now, "but they are beginning to catch up," one person involved in the nominations said. At many agencies, no top positions are filled, which means the layers of political appointees that report to them haven't been picked, either.

"I didn't get it early on. This is not about slowing down the Cabinet. This is about keeping working control of the government for Obama," Gingrich said. "It's actually very shrewd on Schumer's part. Trump is not going to have control of the government until at least June."

Roger Stone also chimed in on the debate saying the Trump administration should have cut ties with Obama's staff "a long time ago, a long, long time ago."

Duh, you think ? Purging King Obama appointed leftists should have been top priority on day one. Obama and the sick leftist half of our country will stoop to new lows to destroy Trump, personally, politically, even physically if they can find a way. Liberals have become more dangerous and destructive than any outside threat to this nation, representing a cancerous rot in values, social structure, personal behavior. Really hard to fix a nation consisting of a sick populous of fifty-percent.

All demonRATS are evil and must be eliminated.

And for Trump saying he doesn't want to prosecute Hillary because Bill and Hillary are good people. I wonder if he still thinks that way now after all that has been going on by Obuma AND Hillary since he has been sworn in. One way to hit back at Obuma is to have the FBI examine his birth certificate. Everyone already knows that it is a forgery. Having the FBI confirm it would doom Obuma to prison for life, along with the Democratic Party coming to an end for helping him, and reversing everything Obuma signed (Obamacare) and removing every person he appointed to the (Supreme) court's.

Scum bags never leave; you must purge them!

wow - what an epiphany...

ya just gotta believe that Trump wanted everybody obie to be purged to begin with. ...and some 'experienced' advisor must've convinced him otherwise. surely...   - if so, it was probably Priebus

All prior appointees of Obama must be purged - these are not Constitutional Americans but Obama "cronies" who will leak classified info. to the detriment our all our servicemen overseas and also to undermine the Trump Administration.  These are "fifth column" in-house terrorists who don't give a damn about America or the people.

Please President Trump--get rid of all of  bummers appointees---they will not help you--and I would watch out for Prebius a  "No Trumper---lets see- if you and VP Pence are discredited--than Ryan becomes last man standing

absolutely get rid of all of them

His first day in office. They have shown that they are not to be trusted, over and over. Liars and cheats. They want to bring this country down.

We must eliminate all evil from the USA.

Hello DenisinAZ,

Its good to see that you are still with us, hope all is good with you.

TRUMP:  Trump To Give ‘Start Your Engines’ Command At Dayton

President Donald Trump will give the command for drivers to start their engines before the Daytona 500.

Daytona International Speedway officials named Trump the grand marshal for NASCAR’s season opener, meaning he will deliver the most famous four words in auto racing. “Gentleman, start your engines,” has been a staple of races around the country and world for decades.

White House spokesman Judd Deere said Thursday the president plans to attend the race. Track president Chip Wile confirmed the news in a release.

“Daytona International Speedway has been privileged to have hosted several sitting presidents of the United States over our history,” Wile said. “We’re honored that the president of the United States has chosen to experience the pageantry and excitement of ‘The Great American Race.’”

Trump is the third sitting president to attend a race at Daytona, but only the second to attend the Daytona 500. George W. Bush attended in 2004. Trump is the first to be given an honorary role in pre-race ceremonies.

Trump is scheduled to spend part of the Presidents Day weekend at his private club in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a flight restriction for Sunday and the U.S. Secret Service, which is responsible for presidential security, also tweeted to fans that drones are prohibited within 30 miles of the race in Daytona Beach — a restriction put in place for presidential visits.

Trump has hosted previous NASCAR champions at the White House and last October awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to motorsports titan Roger Penske. Last year, Trump also praised retired driver Mario Andretti, the Daytona 500 winner in 1967, reminiscing about a ride Andretti gave him in a race car for his reality show “The Apprentice.”

“I said, ‘Mario, get me out of here. I want to get out of this car,’” Trump recalled. “We went so fast. We literally — we covered four blocks in like a second.”
