Tony Blair: We Must Force Migrants To Integrate To Combat Rise Of Far Right

He claims that the ‘failure’ of multiculturalism has led to a rise in bigotry and that successive governments had “failed to find the right balance between diversity and integration”,

He also claimed that the concept of multiculturalism has been misused as a way to justify a “refusal to integrate”.

The Guardian reports: Blair makes the pointed intervention in a report by his Institute for Global Change, which backs forcing schools to have an intake that reflects local diversity, creating a compulsory citizenship programme for teenagers and toughening enforcement against the perpetrators of hate speech.

It also calls for compulsory citizenship education, a ban on segregated shift patterns and the creation of a new cabinet post created to oversee integration.

“Over a significant period of time, including when we were last in government, politics has failed to find the right balance between diversity and integration,” Blair writes in a foreword to the report. “On the one hand, failures around integration have led to attacks on diversity and are partly responsible for a reaction against migration. On the other hand, the word multiculturalism has been misinterpreted as meaning a justified refusal to integrate, when it should never have meant that.

“Particularly now, when there is increasing evidence of far-right bigotry on the rise, it is important to establish the correct social contract around the rights and duties of citizens, including those who migrate to our country.”

The report backs a new form of “digital identity verification” – a return to Blair’s support for ID cards that caused huge divisions when the idea was pushed by his government and later abandoned. It also backs the idea of increased funding for language tuition and handing asylum seekers earlier access to work.

It comes following an increase in religious or racially motivated hate crimes. According to Home Office data, such crimes increased from 37,417 in 2013-14 to 79,587 in 2017-18. MPs such as Labour’s Naz Shah have linked the increase with support for extreme far-right groups.

However, in remarks likely to attract criticism from migrant rights groups, Blair warns that enforcing greater integration by new arrivals is a crucial part of solving the issue.

Blair writes: “In this report, we make it clear that there is a duty to integrate, to accept the rules, laws and norms of our society that all British people hold in common and share, while at the same time preserving the right to practise diversity, which is fully consistent with such a duty.

“Without the right to, for example, practise one’s faith, diversity would have no content; but without the duty to integrate, ‘culture’ or ‘faith’ can be used as a way of upsetting that basic social contract that binds us together.

“Government cannot and should not be neutral on this question. It has to be a passionate advocate and, where necessary, an enforcer of the duty to integrate while protecting the proper space for diversity. Integration is not a choice; it is a necessity.”

You don't say..

Tony Blair, is "Jewish" he is pushing the Global Migration Compact.

Is the RIGHT WING practicing bigotry... or is their conduct the misinterpreted desire of the Majority to retain their right of FREE ASSOCIATION?   It is not bigotry... to desire to live in a community that has social and ethical standards compatible with ones cultural view... It is only human nature to seek out like companions and life styles.  Natural order and discrimination present in the social behavior of the majority only becomes bigotry when those views are used to directly deny the minority equal protection under the law.

Minorities don't have the right to insist... that, the Majority accept social and ethical behvior not compatible with long standing customs and social behaior. Instead, it is the minority that is to assimilate; too, adopt the majority view... not the other way around.

In fact, it is this PC view... that the majority must accomodate the minority... which has created the social unrest, bigotry and racisim, so vissible in society today.  It is the false idea... that people can be made to accept minority views... often, replacing social and cultural norms, that are hundreds of years old, sacking the history and cultural identity of the majority must stop... PC must stop insisting the majority accomodate the minority... it is simply WRONG and history proves it only creates more strife not willing accomodation.

Tony Blair, long live the Queen England's UN Global Migration Compact.

Oops Great Britian is leaving the Global migration pact ... via its exit from the EU.

Seeing how England was the first, there is no signs they will undo what they started. Seeing how the British are building the NWO UN Global Migration Compact, through the Rothschild family, I see no evidence of them standing down.

It is past time to revoke Facebooks, Google, Twiter, etc., exempt from the FCC code...  and its restrictions on limiting free speech.

Force migrants to intergrate.... tell that to a Muslim and hold on to your head as you might loose it..

Our immigration and naturalizaion laws require a certain amount of intergration or assymilation by immagrants wanting to become naturalized citizens... however, they are not like the law of the past... when immigrants must have a working knowledge of English, pass a test on our Constitutional form of Government in English and take their naturalization oath  in English.

WTH -> Rosie O’Donnell Claims There Are ‘Over 100,000’ Concentration Camps In America

Actress and left-wing activist Rosie O’Donnell made the stunning claim that there are more than 100,000 concentration camps in states across the country, holding unaccompanied minors who illegally enter the U.S.

Appearing Monday on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live After Show,” Rosie O’Donnell was asked about the role she’s playing in Lights for Liberty, a rally being held July 12th to demand and end to what host Andy Cohan called “detention camps.”

“Yeah, the concentration camps, even though there’s lots of controversy about the word. But actually, legitimate scholars who study genocide say, yes, these are, in fact, the criteria for concentration camps, they meet them. There are over 100,000 camps in nearly every state,” O’Donnell said, failing to cite the scholars she mentioned. “There’s between 10,000 and 13,000 children, that could fill Radio City Music Hall twice. That’s how many children unaccompanied alone in these camps.”

O’Donnell, of course, was echoing fellow far-left figures like New York freshman Congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has spent the last several weeks comparing the oft-overcrowded Border Patrol facilities currently holding thousands of unaccompanied minors who illegally entered the country with adults to contraction camps like the ones that executed Jews during the Holocaust. Indeed, that comparison was roundly rejected on Monday by the United States Holocaust Museum.

“The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum unequivocally rejects efforts to create analogies between the Holocaust and other events, whether historical or contemporary,” the organization said. “That position has repeatedly and unambiguously been made clear in the Museum’s official statement on the matter – a statement that is reiterated and reaffirmed now.”

It is worth noting that the policy of separating children from adults and holding them in separate facilities was expanded by Barack Obama. It was his administration that separated thousands of children from their parents as a way to deter illegal immigration.

Rosie O’Donnell Backs Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 Bid — ‘She Knows How to Handle That Baby in the White House’

Rosie O’Donnell said she is supporting Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.

O’Donnell said, “Warren is my choice.”

She added, “We need a leader. We need a leader, and she’s been leading. Every time she opens her mouth, she gets more respect. Because she has plans for everything, she knows what she’s doing. And I think she knows how to handle that baby in the White House.”
