I couuld see how not....uh, "dwelling" on Trump's past would be a "YUGE" conveniece -- as his past is LOADED w/ bankruptcies, emminent domain, and liberal ideals, to say the least!
Hence Trump's need to play Five-Card-Monty w/ his political stances.
He is every bit as good at double talk as Obama and BOTH Clintons are.
Trump BOUGHT FAVORS! Period!
Undoubtedly, a Trump presidency, like the Reagan presidencies, will help raise the voice of the grassroot wing of the Republican Party. Unfortunately, the Bush presidencies weakened it. Now we have an opportunity to once again empower the voice of the grassroot by supporting a Trump presidency. This is why the GOP establishment wants to stop Trump at all cost, by any measure, even if it means supporting Sen Cruz.
davidfarrar, that picture of Mr. Trump holding a sign "Will Work For Free", sys it all. Mr. Trump loves us and this country so much that he is begging "we the voters" to let him work for free as President. I weep as write this post. It is overwhelmingly touching.
Love this picture..he is also not asking for $$$$ every time one turns around....
The only problem I have is with Tea Party friends that are ALL in for Cruz...some of the most vocal about king o's ineligibility are willing to overlook Cruz's and all the ties he has with Goldman Sachs, the Bushes and the CFR.....just because he "preaches" the Constitution....and does not talk about the "size of his hands"....and because he won cases at the Supr. Crt....I get this daily from them. But God is telling me not to vote for him and I intend to listen....Palin, Session etc..we cannot ALL be wrong. It seems to me the more the "establishment one worlders" have a tif about Trump the more We The People need him.
Ted Cruz is bought and paid for by his large donor base including, not only Goldman Sachs and the Koch Brothers, but other large donors. A list of the big money donors and Super Pacs supporting Cruz would expose Cruz's vulnerability to corruption and influence peddling.
"ALL" tea partiers huh, debra? That's as ridiculous as liberals assuming that ALL repubs, tp'ers, 912ers, Conservativs, as well as the Trump fans, are ALL "racists"!
Other than self-promotion and adoration, what has Trump actually done that's actually inline w/ genuine Constitutional princieples?
Yes! Cruz's record as TX SG is exemplary! As far as his "ties" w/ the Bushes - well, first of all, it had been reported how at a fundraiser, GW, referring to Cruz, said; "I don't like that guy.". D you know why, Cebra?
I am quite sure that you are familiar w/ the José Medellín case. If not, you will be now:
> In 2003, Jose Ernesto Medellin was on death row for his subhuman crimes a decade earlier: the rape and murder of two young girls, ages 14 and 16. Medellin was an [ILLEGAL ALIEN] and sought to have his execution stayed, claiming that during his trial he was not notified of an [international law] through which he could have obtained legal aid from the Mexican consulate. Mexico then sued the United States on behalf of Medellin and [50 other ILLEGAL ALIENS} that were incarcerated in the U.S. for crimes they committed on US soil, citing the same loophole.
District and appellate courts threw out Medellin’s requests, but the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case. Before the case could be argued, however, [the Bush administration STEPPED IN].
Bush took the position that as president, he had the authority under the Constitution to order states to review the convictions and sentences of foreign nationals in order to advise them of their rights[?!] according to [international law]. (Again, w/ the international law bllsht!)
Cruz argued that the President could not order Texas to reopen the cases without the specific authorization of Congress. Cruz duelled with Stephen Breyer and other skeptical Justices for well over the allotted thirty minutes. Breyer ribbed Cruz: “As I read the Constitution, it says all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States shall be the supreme law of the land, and the judges in every state—I guess it means including Texas”—the audience laughed—“shall be bound thereby.”
“Certainly, Justice Breyer,” Cruz answered. “Texas, of course, does not dispute that the Constitution, laws, and treaties are the supreme law of the land.” But, he went on, the President’s order, in this case, was none of these. The questioning of Cruz became so raucous that, at one point, Justice John Paul Stevens felt compelled to interject, “You said there are six reasons. . . . I really would like to hear what those reasons are without interruption from all of my colleagues.” Cruz won the case, six-to-three,
Do you realize just how CLOSE our criminal justice system, perhaps the USC...came to being usurped by "international law"? Imagine how many RAPISTS and MURDERERS might have been released under such "technicalities"!
You see, Debra, THIS "tea partier" holds NO affinity or loyalty towards GW, (or any other Bush for that matter!). I haven't forgotten how GW had permitted the icarceration of the two Border Patrol Agents: Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos. Placed in max security - for having shot a Mexican drug smuggler coming over the border - ILLEGALLY! They had to be placed in solitary because they were beaten very badly! And, what did GW do? He had their sentences merely commuted on his LAST DAY in Office: Jan 19, 2009. That o me is the proof that GW, as well as his father, ARE big-govt-international-progressives.I dispise their political agenda.
If you guys think Trump will be as firm on building a "great" wall, and being as hard on illegals as he has been selling himself since June 2015, and of which is THE reason he had attracted the following he has -- you are very much MISTAKEN! His positions are CHANGING yet again! Of course you guys will believe that those are the "changes" we NEED!
Did you listen to Judge Jeanine??? Maybe you should....
The hundred of RINOS from the National Review, the Council on Foreign Relations, GOP National Security Leaders, and many other members of the Bush Cartel, have done everything in their power to overturn the votes of the Trump supporters. It seems like Trump supporters and voters have no place in the Republican Party. Cruz and Rubio are not an option.
Mr. Trump was our last hope. Now that the RINOS are doing everything to change the outcome of the nomination, I think we are at a crossroad. If the RINOS ensure that Cruz is the nominee, Cruz will lose and Hillary will win. All of the new voters that Mr. Trump has attracted to the Party will not vote. I, a long time Republcian, will not vote in the general election, if Cruz, Rubio, or anyone other Donald Trump, is the Republican nomonee. If you have read my other discussions and posts, you will understand why I cannot and will not support Cruz or Rubio.
just listened to Judge Jeanine eviscerate Mitt and his recent speech;
and thoughts began to wander about her 'Mitt would prefer Hillary win' point. Considering most the elders in R party have said essentially the same thing and one of those in particular is majority leader of the Senate, and there's a SCOTUS seat available now.. I wonder;
Will the senate Rs gladly confirm obie's SCOTUS pick in retaliation for their establishment being rejected?
