RUSH: What I want to do here is cut to the chase. The result yesterday is exactly what I said it would be. The Republican Party now has one of the most important and unquestionable mandates a political party has ever had at its junction with American history, especially a political party which did not run on a national agenda. The Republican Party purposely stood mute nationally.
Now, if you go into the races, the House and Senate raises all over the country, you will find that many Republican candidates ran specifically against Obamacare, and that is an important note to make and an important thing for you to remember. Individual Republican candidates won, and they won big. They won in a wave landslide running against Obamacare. The national Republican brand or image didn't say a word, which makes the mandate that they have all the more incredible.
It is rare that a political party running for office in a midterm election not standing for anything ends up with a mandate, and they have one, and it is the biggest and perhaps the most important mandate a political party has had in the recent era, and it is very simple what that mandate is. It is to stop Barack Obama. It is to stop the Democrats. There is no other reason why Republicans were elected yesterday. Republicans were not elected to govern.
How can you govern with a president that disobeys the Constitution? How can you govern with a president that is demonstrably lawless when he thinks he has to be? The Republican Party was not elected to fix a broken system or to make it work. The Republican Party was not elected to compromise. The Republican Party was not elected to sit down and work together with the Democrats. The Republican Party was not elected to slow down the speed the country is headed to the cliff and go over it slowly.
The Republican Party was elected to stop before we get to the cliff. And that's the mandate: to stop Obamacare; to stop amnesty; to stop the open borders policy of Obama and the Democrats; to stop the Big Government assault on the free enterprise economy; to stop national security policies that have allowed terrorist networks all over the world to pop up and fill a vacuum created by the absence of the world's lone superpower on the world stage. That must be stopped.
Thank you, "W" Except, for my 'Quotes' all other is rhetoric based on my 'opinions' that are based on Facts (most of the time) Facts can be argued, opinions are my own, but can be changed by 'Facts'!
As, to play down 'my' (your) religious beliefs, that is hard to do: Being a Naturist, one would have to 'play' down Nature, and that would be 'unnatural'! I don't argue, that the Gap between the 'Haves' and the 'Have Not' is not getting bigger, what I'm stating is as the Population grows, the percentages change. If more 'below' the Poverty Line are born, then that population, grows accordingly. Its applies to all 'segments' of our economic society!
I do have a 'problem' and that is trying to break all concerns down to their smallest part, and then try to make sense of those parts, to understand the Whole Concern, if there is really a concern, to start with!
"My Opinions, based on my Crystal Knowledge, and Life's Experiences, and though the Filters of Higher Education ! I can't change those facts, only modify them! "
Thank you: 'W' ET Al," for sharing and caring, apathy will be the end of the USA!" quote 2014
Dr. Gene Lundrum, I will admit you lost me on all those movements of our economic classes, but I think (I do have to re-read your post a few times) your beautiful rhetoric is the same as my thoughts.
As with you, my family was poor. However, my grandmother refused to think "poor" and said that if you were CLEAN, you were NOT poor. My grandparents sent one child to college and expected that child to work and pay for the education of the next child. The daughters went to formals in handmade dresses and they were to always be "ladies". There was a difference between "Poor" and "Low Class". Education and the desire to be educated and civilized was the difference
War On Poverty has spawned the true "Low Class". No dress or language usage requirements, no educational accountability, no job training, no family structure to DEMAND the above accountability in the child, no intolerance for the "lazy" factor. The least of the wise philosophers, Cliven Bundy, said it as well as you say it: "We have again enslaved blacks by granting entitlements without accountability and personal responsibility." My grandparents would NEVER HAVE ALLOWED THEIR FAMILIES TO BE THUS ENSLAVED. They followed Jesus Christ, God and the decree by Capt. James Smith: "If you want to eat, you have to work!" Is that quote still a part of the APUSH American history text?
I am a music ed. major and have few deep thoughts. Sorry. I have a work ethic and love of God and that is my legacy from my family. America gave me a place to work and I think we have both had wonderful lives and we know we owe America back.
Well said Jo Anne. I've known a lot of black people who always want to pull out the "my poor ancestors were slaves and had to work in the cotton fields" CRAP! I'm sick of hearing it. They didn't work in the cotton fields and neither did I. And then I can show them a photo of MY grandmother working in the cotton fields with a sheet tied at her waist and pulling a baby behind her while she worked. I'm sick of them acting like only black people have worked hard, long hours. Not like many of them do THESE days. I'm not interested in hearing ANYTHING about the past. It's DONE. It's OVER with. NOTHING can be done to change the past. We can only work in the PRESENT, and FOR the future. GET OVER IT, AND MOVE ON!
That's GREAT! I LOVE IT!
Marilyn, I am saving this post in my Important Documents! Love it, girl!!!!
