The Gun Control Playbook: The REAL agenda forumlated in 1994

Great information shared by our member by Jim Fogarty. You will see this resembles the Feinstein bill shared in another discussion.

The following is excerpted from a 1994 agenda memo from Handgun Control, Inc. (Now the Brady Campaign) The memo was mailed to me by a federal police officer I used to know, so I trust the source:

"Notes and minutes of Meeting of Friday, December 17, 1993.  Rough Draft Proposal for Internal Memo and Five Year Plan"."Confidential Not For general Distribution".

"Special praise to Senator Dianne Feinstein was mentioned for her courage in standing up to the ever diminishing number of GUN CRAZY EXTREMISTS who are actually pushing to make our society a KILLING FIELD."

"What is pending now and can be law in 1994!...Ban ON ALL SEMIAUTOS WHICH CAN FIRE MORE THAN 6 BULLETS WITHOUT RELOADING." ..."Ban of all machine guns, DESTRUCTIVE DEVICES  , short shotguns/rifles, assault weapons..."...."Ban on possession of a firearm within a home located within 1000 feet of schoolyard." ..."Ban on all realistic replicas/toy guns or non-firearms capable of being rendered realistic."..."The right of victims of gun violence to sue manufacturers and dealers to be affirmed and perhaps aided with money from government programs."...."Taxes on ammo, dealers licenses & guns to offset the medical costs to society."...."the eventual ban of all semi-automatics " – 1994 HCI Agenda Memo

"Five year plan: Licenses:"...."It is reasonable to require that all individuals must prove to the signers that they require a firearm."..."Reduction of the number of guns to require an arsenal license"..."due to the fact that any number of guns constitutes a grave threat to the safety of the community"..."no arsenal licensing be permitted in counties with populations of more than 200,000"..."requirement of federally approved storage safe for all guns"...

"Public Safety Regulations": "Ban on Manufacturing in counties with a population of more than 200,000". Guns are being built all the time and the number of licensed manufacturers are too great to justify the threat to public safety"..."The pending national ban on all assault weapons... can be expanded to eventually cover any firearm with a remotely military appearance."...."We hope that this point system can eventually be expanded to high powered air guns and "paint ball" weapons, which can inflict great damage, and with a little effort can be easily converted into real guns." ..."Banning the carrying of a firearm anywhere but home or range or in transit from one to the other."..."Control of ammunition belonging to certain surplus firearms: Senator Moynihan has already proposed a tax or ban on .22LR, 32 ACP, and 25 ACP  , and 9 MM ammo,..."......"Eventual ban of handgun possession: This may be closer to reality than many of us think. Handguns are becoming increasingly unpopular and we think that within five years we can enact a total ban on possession at the federal level."...

"Ammunition and explosives: Banning of any quantity of smokeless powder or black powder which would constitute more than the equivalent of 100 rounds of ammunition. With the bombing of the World Trade Center, it has been made clear that WE MUST CONTROL ( yes the key phrase here is "we must control" everyone else's life and allow no freedom!  ) the amount of explosive materials in public hands." ..."Ban on the possession of explosive powders of more than I kilogram at any one time. GUN NUTS ARE NOTORIOUS FOR CIRCUMVENTING THE INTENT OF THE LAW..."..."This additional language can be useful in preventing "Bomb-Maker" Hobbyists   and other DANGEROUS INDIVIDUALS   ."..."Banning or strict licensing of all reloading components. Ammunition regulation laws can be regularly bypassed by home loaders..."..."National registration of ammunition or ammo buyers"..."with a possible background check to eliminate the purchase of dangerous ammo by felons or MENTAL PATIENTS."

"Gun ranges: ...waiting period for rentals on pistol ranges"

"Banning of military accouterments: Essential to the NEANDERTHAL GUN CULTURE are the typical military clothing, CAMOUFLAGE, POUCHES, and gear, BOOTS and other combat gear  ....Elimination of the future sale of these items will cripple the culture of violence well into the 21st century"...

"Stricter guidelines for violence in television and the movies: We should look at the possibility of victims of violence initiated by copying an act on television and the movie or video screen, suing the makers of such shows for compensation to their suffering."...

"CONTROL OF DANGEROUS LITERATURE ( bomb making, machine gun conversions, etc.) Too much irresponsible material is purportedly covered by the 1ST AMENDMENT, however the time will come when our nation has to agree THAT SOME LITERATURE DOES NOT BELONG IN A SAFE SOCIETY..." ... "We must realize that THERE CAN BE SUCH A THING AS TOO MUCH FREEDOM  where such literature poses a serious threat to the public safety."

"1994 sounds like the death knell for the bully tactics of the NRA and the culture of violence in America!!"..."With the loss of power and clout of the NRA  and their various smaller crony organizations crumbling to dust, we can eliminate a 200 YEAR OLD LICENSE TO MURDER into history and enter the 21st century a safer place for our children and our children’s children."

"THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS CONFIDENTIAL!! DO NOT DISTRIBUTE BEYOND THE OFFICES OF HCI UNLESS HAND DELIVERED TO AN APPROVED STATE OF FEDERAL LEGISLATOR OR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL . ..Handgun license fees: year 1 to 2"..."year 3 to 4"..."year 5 to 8: ...$550-625 annual fee...suggested penalties for non-compliance...failure to turn over guns for destruction...$15,000/18 months in jail...The federal government estimates that around 65-75 million Americans own guns. These fees and licensing requirements would allow us to take guns out of the hands of an estimated 30 million unsuitable or ineligible individuals.  The fees for the remaining qualifying individuals would additionally reduce the number to about 14 million gun owners"....

"OUR EVENTUAL GOAL IS TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF LICENSEES TO ZERO . The revenue itself can be utilized to achieve this goal." ....Establish a nationwide system of toll free numbers for reporting violators of the new gun restrictions and non-licensees. " ..."Suing gun organizations under the RICO statute: It would be expected that gun groups and lobbying groups such as the NRA would encourage non compliance. Thus nationally recognized groups will be technically "organizing to break the law. Once this can be proven, these groups will be vulnerable to lawsuits based on the RICO statute and drained of their financial resources through repeated legal action."

"Suing the makers of toy/replica guns, toy weapons and violent entertainment:....The items could include: violent video games, television shows, movies, video tapes, WATER GUNS, SUPER SOAKERS, electronic noise guns, toy weapons like swords, batons, martial arts items."

" A QUICK GUIDE TO ARGUING WITH GUN ZEALOTS:....Our children are being threatened, murdered and cut down in the street...With tens of millions of people owning guns, the potential for lawlessness and gun massacres increases ten fold each year...THERE IS NO SPORTING PURPOSE FOR A SEMIAUTOMATIC FIREARM   ...HANDGUNS HAVE NO PURPOSES OTHER THAN KILLING PEOPLE  .....SELF DEFENSE IS NO LEGITIMATE REASON FOR OWNING A GUN  ... MOST GUN DEALERS SELL THOUSANDS OF GUNS ILLEGALLY TO GANGS AND CRIMINALS EVERY DAY."

" Repeat  these FACTS over and over and eventually the public will begin to see the light. They cannot casually dismiss these devastating facts  any more.....REMEMBER THAT THEY ARE DEFENDING THE RIGHT TO MURDER IN OUR COUNTRY.  THIS ALONE MAKES THEM LOOK BRUTISH AND NEANDERTHAL...IT IS BECOMING LESS AND LESS POLITICALLY CORRECT TO OWN A GUN. Ultimately society as a whole will look upon gun owners with dread and disdain."

"Other pressing points: Military assault weapons: The confusion by the general public between semi-automatic and automatic weapons can work in our favor. Constantly dropping the words- submachine gun, fully automatic , machine gun, military weapon, high tech killing machine are good debaters tricks to instill a sense of dread over these weapons. Ultimately people will learn to dread these weapons..."

"Remember that there is no place for any kind of semi auto weapon in a safe society regardless of how it looks, since many so called sport rifles can be easily converted to military configuration. Thus all semi automatic weapons are capable of being called "assault weapons". Never let up on this fact."

"Endangerment of children: It is difficult for Gun groups to counter arguments which call attention to the endangerment of children. Making the opposition look callous creates an image of brutality and indifference to the audience...Enough is enough: Americans are sick and tired of the violence that is infecting our is time for action, to take back our streets from crime, if we don't take action now this crime wave will engulf America" ( crime's been going down, sorry to disappoint you )

"Assault weapons are the weapons of choice for gangs  , mentally deficient individuals  and criminals across the board. The gun lobby argues that anyone at any time should have the right to buy and own these weapons of mass destruction"

This is the wish list for all the gungrabbers , mostly to get total control over ALL Americans but especially anyone that would resist government excess . I say we ban ALL liberals , progressives , socialists , communists and fascists from holding ANY government office on the basis that they are all incompatible with our constitutionally protected rights from a rogue government .

Right on.

These are fighting words to any patriot.

"...a Democracy cannot exist with a biased press."

A Democracy cannot exist for long, period. It is, by its very nature (Human Nature), self-destructive. That is why the founders created a Republic for us.

Using the Alinski tactics against the left, CAN work, if done right. The main strategy is to keep the opposition on the defensive at all times, controling the debate. We must put our opponents on the defensive.

They say that the best "defense" is a good "offense". So let's stop wasting so much time defending our stance and attack theirs. Don't attack the messengers, attack their message.

Then don't argue with the Alinski-ites.

Instead, we educate ourselves and as many others as we can as to the Constitution. It IS the "Supreme Law of the Land".

Then we start letting our elected officials KNOW that WE understand the Constitution and demand that they uphold it. Tell them that if they DON'T, THEY GET FIRED!

Wolverines sounds like the perfect name for the movement to stop Obama from destoying america any more than he has. It is time to put him back on a boat and send him back to his birth place and we all know where that is.

The NRA isn't the only group suing the A-holes in government. The thing that I'm finding is that none seem to be arguing the "Supremacy Clause" (Article VI, paragraph 2) in support of the 2nd Amendment. I'm also finding that there are allot of folks that don't want to go THAT FAR in defending the 2nd. There are NO EXCEPTIONS in the text or language of the 2nd, as to who can or can't "keep and bear Arms", nor as to what type "Arms" the people can or can't "Keep and bear". Fed and State laws that prohibit "certain persons" (Felons and crazies) from "keeping and bearing Arms" is a violation of the 2nd Amendment, but yet, most people are OK with that.

Until the 2nd Amendment has been amended to reflect such desired "exceptions" all State and Federal laws that restrict or regulates, in any way, any persons "right to keep and bear Arms" are UNCONSTITUTIONAL, and should be considered NULL and VOID.

So, before we are going to be able to get all the pro-2nd Amendment and pro-Constitution groups together, we're going to have to ALL get on the same page as to what the US Constitution is and what it means. We're all also going to have to accept, that the Constitution isn't always going to support everything any of us might want of/from government. There's allot of stuff that we the people have to deal with ourselves, or leave alone, what ever the case may be.

Charles Calhoun, guns can be banned through a legal constitutional process. So your call for "the people who formulated this "secret" memo should be imprisoned for subversion" has no basis in law or the Constitution. That is because they were advocating changing the Second Amendment which is protected under the First Amendment.

So what we have to do is convince people of the truth of Justice Story's, who appointed to the SCOTUS by the Constitution’s principal author James Madison, argument that "The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of the republic; since it offers a strong moral check against usurpation and arbitrary power of the rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them."

What Justice Story argued was that if the government could change or eliminate the Second Amendment then none of the rest of the Bill of Rights would be safe, not that there's much left of the Bill of Rights save the Third Amendment, so far.

This is appalling to say the least. We as Americans cannot allow this to take place, so that only gangs crossing the border at an alarming rate can posses weapons to destroy (AK-47). Please read this link to FBI statistics about violent gangs arriving in our society to prey on the disarmed and helpless American citizens. I will not lay down my self-defense rifles no matter what corrupt regime holds "power" in this country. I will not watch this country of laws fall into a battlefield of lawlessness just because ignorant politicians use state controlled media to hype the sheep of this nation. We have a duty to protect our innocent children from would-be murderous rapists gangs.

COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA AT IT'S WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daphne goes to Congress - Out of the Mouths of Babes

  Here's the story...
My 14 year old daughter, Daphne, and I went to a gun rally at the NH Capitol   in  Concord on Saturday, Jan 19, 2013. I don't even own a gun, but I'm   a  strong believer in the Constitution and the wisdom of our Founders   especially when it comes to government taking away our freedoms, and I don't   like the direction Obama is taking the country on that issue. You know,   America, land of the free, and all the core strengths that made America   great.
I made up a bunch of signs and Daphne prepared a letter before the rally,   thinking she  might hand it out to anyone who was interested. While   attending the rally, Daphne noticed that the speaker had stopped talking and   that he was handing the bullhorn to anyone who wanted to speak. She pointed   that out to me, and soon she went over to the Capitol steps, got in line, and   waited for her turn. After fighting her way to the front of  the line,   she stood there, on the steps of the NH State Capitol, and read a shorter   version of the letter below.
  She brought the house down.
After the cheers had died down, dozens of people shook her hand and   congratulated her. A couple of reporters interviewed her briefly and other   photographers took her picture. Just before she left, a representative from   the New Hampshire Assembly talked to her and asked  if she could come   and speak at a hearing on gun control on Tuesday, Jan  22, 2013. Daphne   said, Sure.
On Tuesday, we picked her up from school at 12:00 noon and drove to Concord.   We found  our way to the Legislative Assembly Hall, Room 204. The room   was packed and there was a line down the hall and around two corners. Soon,   they  moved the meeting to another room. The second room also proved too   small. Finally, they sent us across the street, up to the large chamber in   the Capitol Building.
The room was near capacity. About ninety-five percent of the people were pro   2nd  Amendment rights. The Representatives and PACs got to speak first,   then the common folk. Daphne was in the first 10 folks to speak who were not   representing a group. She was poised, though a little nervous, and spoke   clearly to the crowd. When she was done, she brought a copy of her speech to   the front of the chamber where the representatives were  sitting, and   they fought over who would get to take it from her. The moderator had   previously silenced the hall from cheering or clapping, but people told her   they would have cheered if they could as they shook her hand on the way out.   The whole proceeding took more than 3 hours.

Delivered   to the New Hampshire Legislative Assembly
    January 22,  2013

  Dear citizens of  New Hampshire,
Four days ago, I was across the street for a gun rally on the steps of the   Capitol. I had  never been to a gun rally before. I expected it to be   all about hunters and guns. I was surprised: People were not afraid of not   being able to hunt. They were not afraid of criminals at all. Do you know who   they were afraid of? The Federal Government. I was shocked. They were afraid   of the government taking away their freedoms.
The reason I went to the rally in the first place was that I heard children,   like me, talking with President Obama about guns on the radio. I think those   kids were far too young to make policy, and got it all wrong.
Naturally, I don't want my mom or dad to die either, nor my friends or   family. But I learned in school that the First Amendment gives us our Basic   Freedoms, like Freedom of SpeechFreedom of Religion and   Freedom to Assemble. To  protect our God-given rights, our   Founders gave us the 2nd Amendment: The Right to Bear Arms.
My Civics teacher  taught us that the reason our Founding Fathers gave   us the right to bear  arms is to protect ourselves from the government   of man because when man is given absolute power, he becomes absolutely corrupt.   In 1776, guns freed us from the abuses of King George.  Today, guns keep   us free from tyranny by government.
If President Obama wants to take our guns, isn't he taking away our means to   protect our  right to freedom? Wasn't the 2nd Amendment given to us to   protect our 1st Amendment rights? It's not by chance that those are the first   two amendments. They were the two most important gifts our Founders gave the   American people.
I don't know. I'm just a 14 year old girl, and that's what I thought I learned   in school.  Did Mr. Obama learn something different in school than   that?
I think it is terrible for someone to use a national tragedy for political   gain, don't you? So, when I heard Mr. Obama issued 23 gun control orders in   the wake of the Newtown tragedy, I was upset. In school I was taught executive   means to execute laws -- not make them.  When did that change?   Didn't the president swear an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution? Doesn't   the 2nd Amendment state: "the  right for people to keep and bear   arms shall not be infringed." ˇ Tell me  how 23 orders on gun   control is not an infringement. Can someone please tell me that?   Has King George returned?
I hope New Hampshire members of congress remember their pledge and do not use   this  tragedy to create unjust laws.
So I ask myself,  what gun would our Founders want their citizen militia   to have today to  protect us from a government greedy for power.  I   think Thomas  Jefferson would recommend a semi-automatic   rifle  with 50-round clips, and pistols that hold 20. But, I'm sure   George  Washington would demand these  arms.
Just   so you know, I don't even own a gun, nor does my mom, or dad. But when I'm   old enough, I want the right to buy a gun if I want to, so I can   protect the America that I love. I hope I never need one, but I always say,   "plan for the worst and hope for the best".  Unfortunately,   that's sort of why the government is taking away our guns: they are planning   for the worst Americans, and not thinking of the best. Maybe the question   we should be asking is what caused the morality of the United States to   decay? Are parents no longer  teaching their kids "thou shalt not   kill?"
I want to live in an America with laws that protect the best people on   Earth, not the worst, don't you? Wouldn't that be more free? Wouldn't that be   more  American? Isn't freedom  what America is all about?   The right to bear arms is our best guarantee to live free.
Finally, at my  track meet at UNH on Sunday, I read the banner on the   wall. It said three words: Tradition. Pride. Excellence. I hope and pray that   New Hampshire will continue its tradition of excellence and lead the   way for  the rest of the county, and never infringe on my rights. May   the people  of the great state of New Hampshire carry on their long tradition   of freedom, so we can proclaim with pride the  words our   forefathers gave us: Live Free or  Die!
This is our United States. This is our New Hampshire. And that   should never change.
Live Free or Die,  New Hampshire!
    Thank you,
  Daphne  Jordan
  Nottingham, NH

Congratulations!  With young patriots like Daphne on board, America just might have a future!  Daphne certainly does!!!!

Romney Handed Shock
Defeat By Own State’s GOP

Mitt Romney is back in state politics, this time in Utah instead of Massachusetts. However, conservatives in The Beehive State aren’t exactly warming up to the 2012 Republican standard-bearer quite the way many people expected they would.

After finishing second in votes at the state GOP convention, Romney will now face a primary in his run for the Senate seat being vacated by Orrin Hatch, Fox News reported.

At the convention in West Valley City on Saturday, Romney polled just behind state lawmaker Mike Kennedy.

Kennedy captured 50.18 percent of the delegate vote compared to Romney’s 49.12 percent.

That means the two will face off in a primary on June 26 to determine who will represent the GOP this fall.

Romney, the first Mormon to head a major party ticket, is considered an extremely popular figure in Utah and was widely expected to have an easy path to the upper chamber.

In a hypothetical matchup with Democrat Jenny Wilson, at least one poll showed Romney up by 46 percent. That’s, uh, slightly more than the margin of error.

However, among party loyalists, Romney isn’t exactly viewed with unalloyed fondness.

The 2012 presidential nominee was always known for being decidedly moderate, particularly on issues of immigration and global trade. There was also the fact that he ran a campaign so bumbling that it almost made Michael Dukakis look good.

And then there was Romney’s war of words with Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign, which likely led many to perceive he secretly wished Hillary Clinton would take the Oval Office.

Trump would later consider Romney as a secretary of state pick, although how serious the president-elect was about appointing him is something we’ll likely never know.

While your average Utah Republican is unlikely to let these slights affect their vote, hardcore party activists probably don’t want another RINO who isn’t exactly known for his rapport with the president in the upper chamber of Congress, no matter how famous he may be.

For his part, Romney tried to put a good spin on the humiliation.

“I’m delighted with the outcome. Did very, very well,” he told KSTU. “On to a good, important primary ahead. This is terrific for the people of Utah.”

Dude, you just lost to a guy nobody has ever heard of. However, Kennedy was happy with the results, and unlike Romney, he had good reason to be.

“I’m a candidate with a compelling life story and a unique set of life circumstances I’d like to use to serve the people of Utah,” Kennedy said.

I have no idea what that story or those circumstances are, but I think the key point here is that he’s not Mitt Romney. If he wants to win, that’s pretty much what he should be focusing on. I can see the billboards now. “Mike Kennedy: Not Mitt Romney.” “Mike Kennedy: He didn’t borrow Ward Cleaver’s haircut.” “Mike Kennedy: Because Utah deserves a senator whose favorite food isn’t buttered noodles.”

Utah’s electorate tends to be less conservative than convention-goers, so it’s unlikely that Romney won’t be the GOP nominee for Senate. However, that’s not a 100 percent certainty — and it wouldn’t be the first time he’s lost to a Kennedy.

What do you think?
