First Amendment: The FCC has cooked up a plan to place "researchers" in U.S. newsrooms, supposedly to learn all about how editorial decisions are made. Any questions as to why the U.S. is falling in the free press rankings?

As if illegal seizures of Associated Press phone records and the shadowy tailing of the mother of a Fox News reporter weren't menacing enough, the Obama administration is going out of its way to institute a new intrusive surveillance of the press, as if the press wasn't supine enough.

Ajit Pai, a commissioner with the Federal Communications Commission, warned this week in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that a plan to dispatch researchers into radio, television and even newspaper newsrooms called the "Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs" is still going forward, despite the grave danger it presented to the First Amendment.

Pai warned that under the rationale of increasing minority representation in newsrooms, the FCC, which has the power to issue or not issue broadcasting licenses, would dispatch its "researchers" to newsrooms across America to seek their "voluntary" compliance about how news stories are decided, as well as "wade into office politics" looking for angry reporters whose story ideas were rejected as evidence of a shutout of minority views.

This obviously turns my stomach - but there is a rather obvious solution.   We just need to encourage that our media migrate to pay per view (i.e., direct payment absent advertising).   I discuss this in my book - but note, it won't be offered for free again until March 4th, so do wait until then.  By shifting to pay per view, those making money in the media by merely pumping out propaganda won't be able to make money - because those that the propaganda is aimed at won't be willing to actually pay for it.

Now given all the various forms of information exchange over the internet, all we need to do is weaken the power of the main stream media - this will weaken the vocal minority and allow the more powerful (yet often silent) majority to once again steer the ship.  Well, this is my theory at least - probably will never happen, but you never know.   If people start talking about it - it perhaps could?

These decisions to modify content are done knowingly and willing by individuals who run the networks. Those that are employed by powers that be (under contract) simply tow the line or they get let go.

Look, just STOP watching left leaning TV for your news information. CNN has tried to stay alive with low viewership, but they are finding it difficult to continue in this fashion. They know what would increase viewership. It's a change or at least broadcasting in a balanced way in opinions. But we know that they haven't AND they simply won't. Greater forces are preventing them from any modification from the Liberal perspective. They're actually willing to bear the brunt for the Leftist cause. On the other hand, the FOX Network is only moderately conservative and they're constantly being bashed for their traditional views. Here is where those greater ugly forces are becoming VERY dangerous.

The American public in general, have been used to being spoon fed information/entertainment by the media no matter in what form they consume it. For some it's an addiction, that given a choice to do without it evokes an array of excuses. Like: I don't really pay attention to it, I know better. I just find it relaxing. It's harmless. Like it or not, it's called, APATHY.

Individuals like Glenn Beck could easily be called pioneers in a world that is slowly being taken over by the dark side. He will truly be remembered for his courage. We, as a society, should stop to recognize these facts. Our freedom and our culture is being stolen from us. We must support those who make the effort to report the truth, sans the liberal bias feel good BS.

We ARE where we are today, because NO ONE in government or the media or any other place that gains the attention of the eyes and ears of America - will stand up and state the truth. Sadly, this whole country appears to be totally paralyzed by the fact that we have a dictator running our nation, who at the same time, just happens to be the FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT.

They just do NOT know how to deal with it. And here we are today!

just another bump in the nazi boot.  better get these people under control or say good bye to out country

The media is already controlled by the Zionists

Once again we have an example of the federal government wanting to promote Negroes who are neither qualified for the job nor earned the promotion as they did in the sixties and seventies.
That worked out really well with police officers getting killed due to incompetent leadership and factory workers getting injured and killed due to incompetent supervision.

So, now they want the same thing in "news" reporting.  I guess the government wants them because most of their families are on welfare and they don't want the freebies to stop.

The only policing the news rooms need is a doctrine of TRUTH in ALL things , at ALL times . Don't hold your breath for that one .

Thanks for sharing the video on what is happening in Venezuela! Chavez' promises led to this.. This is what Communists do! The way the commie government in Venezuela treats innocent citizens is the way our government will treat the Tea Party, and others who protest our government!

And just where is this 'Pai' person going to get the people to do his nefarious bidding?  FCC people are very busy.  They DO license Stations, both the ones we listen to and watch, but also Public Safety and Aircraft stations, and 'Ham' stations.

They INSPECT broadcast facilities for compliance with licensed power levels, 'Emergency Action System' compliance, modulation levels, directional pattern compliance, transmitter site safety and countless other things.  They (personnel) constantly say they don't have enough people to do the job, but somehow it gets done.  This will be the straw.

Besides, program content, news or otherwise, is NOT their concern.  (Exception: profanity)  THeir job is also NOT to satisfy a Communist president's whim.  If a station is not doing the 'right thing', soon its audience dwindles, and revenues drop.  When it gets bad enough, they SELL, and the next owner can ttry to bring it back.  Shoestring operations (there are lots of them) hire whom they can afford.  For the most part race or political views don't come into the picture.  The seat needs filling, and here is someone to fill it.  If he/she can READ, and has a reasonably pleasant voice and apprarence (TV), they're IN!  On air people are often pressed into sales.  Full time news positions are few in radio, and not too many in TV.  Most stations depend on a network for news.  Some stations don't 'do' news at all.

Sorry, Obimbum.  This is no way to 'gain confidence'.  IRS targeting was not enough for you, now you are going after broadcasters.  Broadcasting was already 33 years old when you were 'born', where ever that might have been, and has been able to serve the public during all of that time.  It does not need you to TAMPER with it!

This is SERIOUSLY BAD folks. This administration and all of its regulators and political appointees MUST BE STOPPED AND REMOVED FROM CONTROL ... BY ANY AND ALL MEANS POSSIBLE! We all must do whatever it takes, use whatever "tools" we still have left, to end this madness. We need to stop bitchin' and get this party started. Give no quarter, this is WAR, OUR 2ND REVOLUTION!

This is it folks, our freedom of speech is about to go into the Communist's dumper. The instant the first "observer" enters a news-room, we can not trust a single word from ANY source.  All we hear, whether it be from newspaper, radio and TV will be suspect.

CONFUSION:   Pelosi Says Constitution Spells Out ‘Two Co-Equal Branches’ Of Government

No Nancy. No.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi must be taking night classes at the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez School of Government.

Pelosi, the 79-year-old third-highest ranking official in the U.S. government, was speaking to the Center for American Progress today when she mistakenly said there are “two co-equal branches” of government, before correcting herself to say there are three.

“First of all, let me just say, we take an oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” Pelosi said.

“Democrats take that oath seriously, and we are committed to honoring our oath of office. I’m not sure that our Republican colleagues share that commitment, and I’m not sure that the president of the United States does, too,” she claimed.

“So, in light of the fact that the beauty of the Constitution is a system of checks and balances— two co-equal branches— three co-equal branches of government,” she corrected with a laugh.

“A check and balance on each other,” she continued. “Con— Constitution spells out the pri— pa, uh, the duties of Congress and one of them is oversight of the president of the United States, another one of them is to impeach the president of the United States,” Pelosi said.

In November, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rallied supporters on Facebook to pitch in and help Democrats take back “all three chambers of Congress.”

“…the Progressive movement works and it wins in all districts…If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress– three chambers of government…,” she said during the virtual appearance.

She clarified that she meant the “presidency, the Senate and the House.”

According to the Constitution, the three branches of government are the legislative, executive and judicial.

Below: Nancy Pelosi is continuing to promote the false narrative that President Trump is involved in a cover-up and therefore may be guilty of an impeachable offense. Millie Weaver joins Alex to break down the propaganda being used to overturn the democratic election of 2016
