The US economy continues expanding. Such growth was nonexistent throughout the entire eight years of the Oabma admenstruation.
Growth is good! It means more people get employed; and less become the burden of the taxpayers (aka welfare). So, since more revenue is rolling in - lets celebrate! How about we start rolling back our DEFICIT; and start paying down the DEBT?! Nope. The deficit for 2019 will continue to rise. Surprised? I'm sure as hell not!
Excerpts from the Heritage Foundation :
> "The CBO projects that, by 2020, the deficit will grow to more than $1 trillion annually, an increase of $233 billion from the latest projection. By 2028, annual deficits could reach more than $1.5 trillion annually, with no sign of slowing down. The 10-year cumulative deficit is projected to be $12.4 trillion, over $2 trillion higher than last year’s CBO estimates."
> "How Washington handles America’s fiscal problems will, indeed, define the future of the United States as a superpower and as a country. If Americans remain unwilling to control the national debt level, Washington will lose its ability to shape the international system —a situation that would ultimately threaten America’s viability as a nation"
The President continues to call for funding for "the wall" to be included in the 2019 spending bill (I refuse io call it a "budget!). Lets be totally honest here. What good will that "wall" do if states REFUSE to abide by federal laws w/ their sanctuary policies; and where they refuse to incarcerate, and even protect, criminals - because they are illegal aliens? And what about the FACT that the US continues to take in the so called "refugees" from the Middle East? (45,000 in 2018 so far)
A growing economy alone IS NEVER ENOUGH! NO ONE is resolving a damned thing! So, bottom line is - the nation is still very much in peril.
Remember the so called "shutdown" of 2013? Did it affect the R votes in a negative way? No! Even the INDies came around in higher numbers.
I see another CR coming. No REAL cuts will occur; and the Deficit WILL continue to rise. The usual far left programs will continue getting funded; and univeresities will continue getting their subsidies.... The status quo rolls on. The deep-state is way too ingrained to bring the nation to its Constitutional roots w/ out causing the system to temporarily derail like when a train moving full speed and its brakes are tripped. But, sometimes things have to be broken apart. We cna't keep using duct tape when an engine is about blow!
I am in agreement......strong action is required in one way or another.
The United States Of America Should Not Have A National Debit. If you weigh in the facts about the tax system, and understand it is a scam. Thousands of million dollar companies here in America.
Hundreds of Billion Dollar Companies here in America.
A long time ago one of the favorite Tea Party Candidates, states in a news forum, the the tax system only bring in 3 to $4 Trillion per year. This of course peeked my curiosity, of why the political parties were spending 10 to 20 times that amount?
Unfunded Liabilities- Overview. A liability is a future debt or performance obligation that one party owes to another at some future date in time. It is commonly settled through a payment or performance of a service. An Unfunded Liability is used to describe any liability that does not have savings set aside for it.
The American People hold the debit notes for Unfunded Liabilities, then the big secret, to whom are we borrowing funds from, and why are they not borrowing from the USA?
The foundation of America is sound and secure, our federal system should not be borrowing money, we should be loaning the notes as credits.
The American People should not be paying the Federal Reserve to print Federal Notes so that we have cash to spend. The Federal Reserve should not be playing with the American Economy, as if all rights are reserved to them as a privet organization.
The Federal Reserve should be abolished, or removed from power in legislation. If these other countries want to do business, then do it right, don't try to continue to control this system and people, it can and will have a negative effect.
Very well articulated, Henry. If I may interject:
> "The Federal Reserve should be abolished"
I totally agree! But, it can't be simply "removed" by mere legislation; let alone any Exec Order at all.
Why? Well because it is the XVI Amendment to the US Constitution. Within the XVI the powers were also granted to Congress to impose income Taxes; which in turn also expanded the powers to the IRS as well.
Thus, the XVI plowed the path for federal and state entitlement program starting w/ FDR's SocSec Act (1935) and on to LBJ's Great Society / War On Poverty / Medicare Act. Not to mention housing (FHMA; Fannie/Freddie; The CRA etc).
So how do we Abolish/ repeal the XVI? Some will say by a Constitution Convention (or "Con Con"). That's true. BUT, when has federal legislators (Congress) EVER taken AWAY their main sources of power; especially the power-of-the-purse? NEVER!
There's only viable way: A Convention of States (COS). Good luck w/ that within our lifetimes.
Thanks for the post, Henry.
You don't say Luis,
President John F. Kennedy removed the fed from power, this can be done again. I also agree with Mr. Massingale, the foundation of this country is powerful, and the Banking System of them other countries, need to show more respect.
But don't worry, if they get in trouble we can loan them federal notes as credits...
LMAO at the whole system..........
If what you say were accurate, the Fed shouldn't have control over our finances; have the final word on what interest rates will be; have the power to even print our currency; flood the markets/ banks w/ $$$ via the Quantitative Easing; or even have the power to avoid CONGRESSIONAL audits! Yet it does.
