U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued a statement in response to initial reporting of ‘Brexit’ returns. Sen. Cruz urged the United States to respect the results of the United Kingdom’s referendum on its membership in the European Union:

“The British people have spoken clearly: They choose to leave the European Union,” Sen. Cruz said. “The results of the ‘Brexit’ referendum should serve as a wake-up call for internationalist bureaucrats from Brussels to Washington, D.C. that some free nations still wish to preserve their national sovereignty. The British people have indicated that they will no longer outsource their future to the EU, and prefer to chart their own path forward. The United States can learn from the referendum and attend to the issues of security, immigration and economic autonomy that drove this historic vote. In addition, we should treat the ‘Brexit’ as an opportunity to forge a closer partnership with our historic friend and ally, including immediately starting negotiations for a targeted US-UK free trade agreement.”

So the "globalists" term has been replaced with "internationalists".  I still prefer "communists" and their "fellow travelers". At least we can now start talking about the difference between being a "citizen of the world" concept, and being a citizen of a sovereign nation.

IMO, they will not accept the results of the election, and will do anything to bring financial or physical pain to the citizens of Britain.

Barry Hussein (pbuh) tells Britain that if they leave the EU that they will go back to the back of the "queue" in trade relations, and after the election John Swifty Kerry tells them that we need to continue to strengthen our last standing relations. Makes me wonder if they ever talk.

NWO globalist ran by international bankers and there corporate/political minions.

I only call 'em Marxists, whether they call themselves communists, capitalists or anything in between.
The British elites are up set and are trying to call for another vote as we speak. I pray this is blocked, and stopped in its tracks. Americans should take a lead from there move and rid our government of the liberal minded loons. Its there kind of thinking and teaching that has caused the open borders and the draw of funds from the working people and over taxes. This is the ever thing Hillary wants to do in America, 80% tax on the working people that will cause all jobs to leave America. Wants wrong with there thinking, only one thing control of the people. Only it's easier to kill a million people then to control a million people, Just remember that when you vote.

Agreed. They are trying to go around the people. Sound familiar?

Of coarse they tried to us voter fraud and to many people didn't want the EU. I suspect the yes vote to get out of the EU was very much larger then it showed.

Apparently the EU delayed sending their latest list of new laws to the UK so they would not influence the vote. Amongst them were the banning of certain popular electric tea kettles and the banning of their most popular vacuum cleaners. That's how far the EU has gone to become a dictatorship. Thank goodness the citizens said enough.

They already are. The EU leadership in appointed. By who? Nobody seems to know. All the new laws just appear out of thin air. All you get to do is vote yes or no. None of the countries get to amend or create a bill for a vote.

I do not pay attention to Ted Cruz.

Parmelia Heath

That's too bad!  May I conclude you also pay no attention to the Constitution?

Cruz's voting record favors international treaties that take away our freedoms. That how the EU members are loosing there rights.

Ted Cruz is one of them.  If he is sincere, he should propose a independent trade mission to England when Trump becomes president. He will then show he can step away from the Globalists by letting two independent nations deal directly with each other in the old fashion historical way.

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.

You don't get to interrupt me
