Tech company CEO who threatened to assassinate Trump . . . is no longer a CEO

What a funny guy! This would impress his liberal friends for sure!

Matthew Harrigan, who up until yesterday was CEO of a tech company called PacketSled, took to Facebook in the aftermath of the election and declared his intention to assassinate Donald Trump. Here is a screenshot of his second Facebook post on the matter:

Tech company CEO who threatened to assassinate Trump . . . is no longer a CEO

The first one said he was going to get a sniper rifle and perch himself where it counts, whatever that means.

Anyway, the PacketSled board didn’t get the joke, and Harrigan is now unemployed.

See? Trump is already killing jobs! Well, only of people who want to kill Trump.

Now clearly, Harrigan is an idiot and shouldn’t be treated as representative of all the people who oppose a Trump presidency. Even most of the protesters and rioters aren’t contemplating anything like assassination.

But I do think it says something about the atmosphere the Trump-haters have fomented, before the election to be sure but especially after it. You’ve got a guy like Joss Whedon going around saying Trump must not be allowed to serve a term - however he thinks he’s going to pull that off - and others acting like we’ve just elected the second coming of Hitler.

Harrigan now claims it was all just a joke:

“My recent Facebook comment was intended to be a joke, in the context of a larger conversation, and only privately shared as such. Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not engage in this form of rhetoric with any level of seriousness and the comment most certainly does not represent my real personal views in any regard. I apologize if anything that I said was either taken seriously, was offensive, or caused any legitimate concern.”

Best Regards, Matt Harrigan

Now maybe it was a joke, although his own board called the Secret Service on him, and rightly so. They’d be negligent not to in the event Harrigan actually went out and try to assassinate the president.

But more to the point, why did Harrigan think this would be a funny joke? I’d say in part he thought that because the left has now created such an atmosphere of hate toward Trump that people feel they can openly joke about such things and it will be widely well received by others.

PacketSled should be glad to have a board that recognizes there is no humor in joking about killing the president, and that would be the case if we were talking about Obama, Hillary or anyone. It’s not funny, and now you look like a total jerk. An unemployed jerk, that is.

Good luck in the next job interview asking why you left your last job. I’d love to hear how he explains that one. But maybe they’ll be understanding at Taco Bell.

What a fu**ing Libatard liar. Everybody knows you don't joke about killing somebody. What an ass wipe.

Robert please try to abide by the site's rules:  5. No Profanity

We all feel the same way.....but try to keep it in check

He should be more concerned about going to jail or having a felony conviction on his record than loosing his job... as CEO.

Harrigan should apply to be a butler for Hitlery or maybe BO could use a whitey as house cleaner in Kenya?? Hopefully, the idiot won't get a few million for severance pay for his early out as Chief Idiot in Charge. I wouldn't rule out an IRS audit, either!!

maybe soros will hire this clown?

Getting fired isn't enough of a punishment for this guy.  Apparently, his excuse was due to drunkenness.  What happens the next time he goes on a bender?

If the secret service does not arrest him, THEY are complicit in his threats and have lost ALL credibility for which they should be punished themselves.  Does the law still apply to ANYONE of wealth or influence???

Have you ever wondered what would have happened if the Republicans had fought this hard when Obama was elected ? Instead, we had spineless, mostly corrupt elected officials who were terrified of being called racist and a general public who refused to force them to do their duty. Apathy ruled for the last 8 years, Then Trump came along and changed everything.

Gohmert: Dems Will Drag Out Impeachment — Try To Get ‘Best Socialist’ Nominated For President

During an appearance on Huntsville, AL radio’s WVNN on Thursday, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) offered his best assessment of what House Democrats were trying to accomplish with their impeachment efforts.

Gohmert told WVNN’s “The Jeff Poor Show” impeachment could tie up the Democratic Party’s presidential campaign efforts but predicted Democrats would use the occasion to nominate “the best socialist” they can.

“They would lose in the Senate,” Gohmert said on impeachment. “And besides that, the entire time it was on trial in the Senate, the Democrats who are running for president wouldn’t be allowed to campaign. That’s in the Constitution. They wouldn’t be able to campaign. I just can’t imagine them wanting to do that because if they send it to the Senate, they have now perfectly set up the scenario of 1996, where they will reassure Donald Trump is reelected as president. They don’t want to do that. They’re probably going to drag this thing out as long as they possibly can … through Iowa, through primaries — try to get the best socialist they can to be nominated.”

“Then just end up and say, ‘Now we’re close enough to the general election. We’ve thrown mud at the president through the House,’” he continued. “What they’re really doing — they’re using taxpayer funds to campaign against Trump. That’s all this is — a campaign fund that taxpayers are paying for in order to try to throw mud at the president. I’ll be surprised if they have that vote, but I can’t imagine they want to set up this president for reelection by having a trial in the Senate where they lose.”
