Tea Party to Mitch McConnell: 'You Cannot Win Without Us'

Us'

A major GOP donor who told Breitbart News Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell made disparaging remarks about the Tea Party movement and about Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) continues to stand by his original story after claims that the reports were not accurate.

This individual reported that on the Oct. 30 fundraising call American Crossroads’ Karl Rove and Steven J. Law held with McConnell, “McConnell specifically talked about Mike Lee by name, specifically talked about Ted Cruz by name, and he specifically talked about the Tea Party by name,” the donor told Breitbart News in response to a story Rove’s and McConnell’s teams have purported shows otherwise.

“McConnell did tie it all together with the Senate Conservatives Fund with which McConnell had a major problem,” the donor said. “The Senate Conservatives Fund was just one part of a broader attack.”

Tea Party Express chairwoman Amy Kremer said it does not matter whether those "bullies" and "punch them in the nose" remarks McConnell made on the call were specifically aimed at Senate Conservatives Fund or whether they were general to the grassroots movement; the conclusion Tea Partiers should take away is the same.

“An attack on SCF or any Tea Party organization or Ted Cruz or Mike Lee is an attack on all of us,” Kremer said in a phone interview Friday afternoon.

This is nothing new. They continue to attack us and I don’t understand why when Harry Reid just invoked the nuclear option yesterday and Obamacare is crumbling at the seams and we should have them on the run. Why are they now attacking the Tea Party movement? They need to remember that John Boehner and the Republicans would not be in control of the House if it weren’t for the Tea Party movement and the conservative grassroots movement. I know that Leader McConnell is up for re-election but the Tea Party movement is strong in his state. There is already a Tea Party Senator in the state of Kentucky that defeated the establishment candidate in the primary. So it’s silly to go and attack Tea Partiers and conservative grassroots because they’ve already proven themselves strongly there in the state of Kentucky as well as the state of Texas and other places across the country. You cannot win without us. To continue to attack us is like, it’s just ridiculous. At the end of the day, we all know what it’s about: It’s about power, control and money. It’s what makes Washington tick. The grassroots outside is having a huge influence in them losing them, and we all know that Washington doesn’t like to lose control.

Tea Party Patriots national coordinator Jenny Beth Martin concurs.

“Why would Senator Mitch McConnell want to ‘punch in the nose’ the millions of patriotic moms, grandmoms and veterans who stand up for America through the Tea Party and groups like the Senate Conservatives Fund?” Martin said in an emailed statement to Breitbart News. "The people supporting SCF are the same people going to Tea Party meetings and rallies across the country. We elect our representatives to represent us, not to threaten us with physical violence during secret meetings with Karl Rove’s friends."

Why would we want Mitch McCommie to win???  Matt Bevin is our T.P. candidate we should be backing him and getting the Rino out of office ...JMO>

We need to leave the GOP, become a new party: The American Dream Party, The Freedom Party, or The Tea Party!

I am stopping all of my donations to the GOP today!

I stopped donating to the RNC long ago because the RINO's get the money.  However, I do donate to Rand Paul.

I have not donated to the RNC or the GOP for years because they have not followed my conservative beliefs for the past 20 years even the great Reagan passed the Amnesty bill without closing the borders. The Presidents job is to protect the country and they have lost sight of this. I joined the Tea Party and help here when I can with our politicians. Sarah Palin was right from the start, there are death panels in Obamacare.
Now the country is making friends with our enemies and enemies of our friends. They have taken G-D out of everything and replaced it with nothing but lies. This president lies EVERYTIME he opens his mouth and most don't call him on it they just bow down and worship him. I believe that if we can not change the way our country is heading we will have blood running in the streets.

McConnell just doesn't seem to get it!  His day is done--he was a good, strong, hard-hitting leader back in the mid-1950s, and did his job very well!  However, his mid-20th Century way of doing things is not the way things should be done now, and, as was shown with Reid and the "Nuclear Option" last week, it was the YOUNG Democrats who carried the day--not the old timers!

The same is true of the Establishment Republicans--their day is done, and they really should step aside to allow the younger generation take over with 21st Century ideas for the 21st Century!

www.mattbevin.com  lets support our own... let us get the old lifers out of office and take our chances of starting anew.. this country is getting dangerously close to an internal conflict, you can think its not but it is getting really close. The people are fed up with the politicians not doing a damn thing to fix what is wrong.. all words and no action. So I suggest people wake up... I was blown away when my wife told me the Tea Party was endorsing Mitch McConnel ,, if this is what the Tea Party is coming too ... well it will be the end of my support here too...

ALERT ALERT

Fact Check:   'Joe Biden Claims ‘We Didn’t Lock People Up In Cages’

CLAIM: Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed, on immigration: “We didn’t lock people up in cages.”

VERDICT: FALSE. The “cages” were built by the Obama-Biden administration.

Univision moderator Jorge Ramos asked Biden at the third Democrat debate at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, why Latinos should trust him after the Obama administration continued deporting “undocumented immigrants.”

Biden claimed that the Obama administration’s policies were more humane than those of President Donald Trump: “We didn’t lock people up in cages,” he said.

In fact, the “cages” were built by the Obama administration to deal with a surge of unaccompanied minors who crossed the border illegally in 2014.

Originally, the Obama administration was “warehousing” children — literally — in overwhelmed Border Patrol facilities. Breitbart News broke the story of the surge, which was partly triggered by Obama’s policy of allowing illegal alien children who entered the country as minors to stay in the country (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA).

The above photo was published by the Associated Press in June 2014, and the photo below is of Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, touring a Border Patrol facility with “cages.”

The “cages” are chain-link enclosures in Border Patrol processing facilities that are meant to protect children from adults in custody. They are not permanent accommodations.

In mid-2018, as the Trump administration began enforcing a “zero tolerance” policy that stopped the “catch-and-release” policy of letting illegal aliens go after they were arrested. Detaining adults and children meant that children had to be processed separately; the enclosures prevented adults from harming children.

As Breitbart News reported at the time, children were not housed in “cages.” They were processed and then taken to shelters, where they were given medical care, toiletries, education, recreation, and counseling, and where staff attempted to find relatives or sponsors to whom they could be released.

Democrats began tweeting images of “kids in cages” to condemn the Trump administration. Journalists, too, shared those images.

One problem: they were taken during the Obama administration.

Public outrage at the images led President Trump to end the policy, and require families to be detained together.

Democrats keep repeating the mistake, however: in July, they had to delete a tweet that used an image from the Obama era and cited the “inhumane treatment” of children by the Trump administration.

Republicans argue that not detaining illegal aliens is actually the cruel policy, because it encourages migrants to undertake a dangerous journey, often guided by cartels and smugglers.

As Breitbart News’ Alana Mastrangelo noted recently:

But what’s worse than “cages,” however, are reports of migrant children also being handed over to human traffickers during the Obama administration — while Biden was vice president — according to the New York Times. Between October 2013 and July 2015 alone, nearly 80,000 unaccompanied children from Central American countries were detained by U.S. authorities.

It remains unclear how many of the tens of thousands of children were handed over to human traffickers — including sex traffickers — during that span of nearly two years, as those cases are reportedly not tracked.

“Others were ransomed by the very smugglers to whom their families paid thousands of dollars to sneak them into the United States,” reported the New York Times in 2015, during Obama’s presidency and Biden’s vice presidency. “Some lost limbs during the journey or found themselves sold into sexual slavery.”

Biden told voters in South Carolina last month that he would close all border detention facilities, guaranteeing that the migrant flow would continue.
