Gun Toting Tea Party mom wins $1.12M for false prosecution

A Long Island mother of three arrested for taking pictures of an Air National Guard base in the Hamptons – while armed to the teeth with a licensed assault rifle in her car — has been awarded $1.12 million by a federal jury over her false prosecution by Suffolk County authorities.

The Central Islip jury on Thursday sided with Nancy Genovese, 58, in a 2010 lawsuit she filed against Suffolk County, its Sheriff’s Office and other parties, claiming she was only arrested during the July 2009 incident because she belonged to the Tea Party.

Genovese was arrested while taking pictures of a decorative helicopter in front of the Gabreski Airport Air National Guard base in Westhampton Beach for a “Support Our Troops” website. She was charged with criminal trespass and spent four days in jail before the charges were dropped.

Southhampton cops searched her and found a legally owned rifle that she was transporting from a nearby rifle range. She contends a deputy sheriff arrived on the scene later and said to her, “I bet you are one of those Tea Party people.” When Genovese said she’s gone to Tea Party rallies, he allegedly said, “You’re a real right-winger, aren’t you?” and “You are a ‘Teabagger’” and then added that she’d be arrested for terrorism to make an example of other “right wingers.”

“Ms. Genovese was subjected to a level of abuse because [authorities] did not share the same political views as she did and saw this as an excuse to deny her even the most basic civil rights,” her lawyer Frederick Brewington said.

Love it!   Very good news!

Way to go Tea Party Patriots!!  Long live the Tea Party!!

I hope the "officer" involved was sued directly so the money had to come from him, no the union, the dept., or outside interests. That is the only way they will truly pay attention, oh, and some jail time would probably help the cause, too!

I don't see where your political affiliation has anything to do with the correct police procedure the cops are suppose to adhere to. This is a case of a smart a$$ cop acting like a macho bully and wanting to make a name for himself. Well I see he did get attention and it resulted in a law suit payoff. They aren't suppose to voice their personal opinions or likes and dislikes. The Sheriff was out of line. This is not the first time I've heard of a cop or Sheriff being the judge and jury. That's not their job. A person's motives should be up to the court to decide, and not before hand like this Sheriff did. So many of them think they have a degree in law. This is just another case of the substandard help we are getting now days. But excellent help for the Communist movement.

I'm glad he DID make his thoughts know, otherwise this woman would have been bullied without recompense. We they think like this, then it is better that we know it.

Congratulations to Ms. Genovese and her attorney, Mr. Brewton! I hope this case makes an example for other Liberals and anti-Constitutional rights officials at every level!

Wish there was a way to sue, not the government, but individual cops for these greivious violations of rights.

These are the type of cop that the protests chants should target, not law abiding cops.
What do we want, "Dead Gestapo cops"!

The cops in this story are morons and need to be out of a job

Pay-Back !!! Pedophile Who Assaulted Nearly 200 Kids Stabbed To Death In Prison

A convicted pedophile who abused almost 200 children was stabbed to death in North Yorkshire, England, on Sunday.

Richard Huckle, 33, from Ashford, Kent, was given 22 life sentences in 2016 after he admitted to sexually abusing 71 kids whose ages ranged from six months to 12 years between 2006 and 2014, according to the BBC.

The report said Huckle was attacked with a makeshift knife while inside his cell at the Full Sutton Prison.

At the pedophile’s trial in 2016, investigators said they found over 20,000 indecent photos and videos of his assaults, which were shared with other pedophiles via a site on the dark web called The Love Zone.

Reports said that prior to his arrest, Huckle posed as an English teacher and Christian volunteer worker in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he groomed impoverished children.

In one of his online posts, Huckle reportedly wrote “Impoverished kids are definitely much easier to seduce than middle-class Western kids.”

Reports said he attempted to make money from his crimes by crowdfunding the release of the photos.

“Huckle also created a 60-page ‘how-to’ guide for other pedophiles seeking to evade being caught, and kept a scorecard and points system regarding the children who were abused — leading investigators to speculate he may have as many as 200 victims,” a Fox News report stated.

At his sentencing in 2016, Judge Peter Rook condemned Huckle for his heinous crimes he said had become routine for the pedophile.

Rook commented:

Your offending behavior became entrenched in your everyday life. Your life revolved around your sexual activities with young children. Your distorted beliefs in respect of children are deep-seated. Your self-delusion knows no bounds. It is also clear that, had you not been arrested, you planned to continue the same lifestyle using the expertise that you were keen to show off to and share with other abusers so as to continue your sexual exploitation of the children of such communities.

Reports said prior to his death, Huckle refused to cooperate with authorities when they tried to unlock a cache of encrypted files he had access to that may contain the names of victims and other pedophiles, according to Fox News.
