TEA PARTY MEMBERS HERE IS WHY TED CRUZ SHOULD NEVER BE THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT

Ted Cruz, opportunist  that   he is, once again shows how devious, manipulative, and dishonest that he is.  Cruz, did not show up for the vote to audit the Federal Reserve because of his wife's deep involvement with Goldman Sachs and their indebtedness to Goldman Sachs.  The Federal Reserve bailed out Goldman Sachs during the financial collapse of 2008.  Goldman Sachs is closely tied to the Federal Reserve for all of its borrowing needs.  Cruz is over his head in big money donations from the people and companies that he refers to as "capitalists cronies on Wall Street",  and  that he criticizes.

If Cruz had been in tune with the Republicans voters back in Texas, he would have known that this is an important vote for his constituency.  The Platform of the Texas Republican Party called for the Federal Reserve to be abolished.  Cruz did not come up through the grass roots, so he would not have known that.   He was appointed to office in Texas.  Then he latched on to the Tea Party to get elected as Senator.

There is something about human nature that you can't hide for too long.  His colleagues in the Senate, have seen this part of his human nature, and realize that Ted is all about Ted and furthering his own ambition.  All of these people who have worked with him in the Senate say the same thing.  They don't trust him, not because he leached on to the Tea Party agenda, to get elected to the Senate, but because he is self promoting, self staging, and self serving.  Everything that Cruz did in the Senate was to gain popularity and notoriety, setting himself up to run for President.

Ted Cruz has hidden many things about himself from the public.  First, that he ran for the Senate as a dual citizen of Canada and America. Second, he took the Senate oath to defend the Constitution, knowing that he owed allegiance to Canada at the same time.  You can't tell me that a Harvard Law School trained lawyer did not know he was a Canadian and an American.  If he had not with held this important information about himself, and his family, he never would have been elected Senator.  In my opinion, Cruz is fundamentally a dishonest person, in the way in which he approaches the practice of law, and the way in which he twists the Constitution to meet his personal agenda.

Second, Ted Cruz has hidden, in his financial disclosure, that he and his wife had borrowed 1,000,000 dollars from his wife's employer, Goldman Sach, to finance his campaign.  Again, Cruz, the Harvard lawyer, plays dumb, and pretends that he did not know of this failed financial disclosure.

Third, every opportunity that Ted Cruz gets, he is in New York, begging big money donors for money for his campaign.  Yet, he has the audacity to denigrate the people of New York and New York itself for its values.

Fourth, there are bound to be even more things that we don't know about Ted Cruz, that would be pertinent to know, in considering a vote for Ted Cruz.  Cruz will never disclose these things unless he gets caught and is force to admit them.  However, he will always find a way to divert from his guilt, and point to others, or other reasons for his mistakes.

Ted Cruz does not deserve our Tea Party votes!

Donald Trump is not beholding to any large donors,  lobbyists or special interests.  He is deserving of our votes, and he will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

As a side note, if Ted Cruz were to win the Republican nomination for President, he would be unelectable.  Hillary Clinton would win by a landslide.  Cruz will not attract Hispanic voters.  He has tried to identify more as a Caucasian than as a Hispanic.  He is insulted when you speak to him in Spanish. He makes it known that he does not speak Spanish, in spite of his Cuban father and his Cuban heritage.

Most Hispanics in Texas say that would not vote for him as President because they don't identify with him as Hispanic.  He rejected his birth name, which is his father's name, and adopted a European nick name of "Ted" for Eduardo.  His driver's license lists his race as Caucasian.  Rafael Eduardo (Ted) Cruz seems to have a self identify problem.

I hope Republican voters, starting with the Iowa Caucuses will  remember this discussion when they cast their votes.  Ted Cruz is deceitful and dishonest on so many levels, in spite of using "the body of Christ" to win over voters.

Cruz has demonstrated what a deceitful, " Bible toting" crook that he is. He spoke like a Baptist preacher when he was in Iowa, trading on the deep Evangelical beliefs of the people of Iowa, wrapping himself in "the body of Christ". This is the way born again Christians speak, and Cruz used it to his advantage. At the same time, while he was talking about the "body of Christ", Cruz was apparently devising every under handed, mean, vile and crooked way to win the Iowa election.

"Ted Cruz is untrusted."

Someone earlier made the comment that they were concerned because if Cruz won, he'd need money and be forced to sleep with dogs, possibly changing his loyalties.  I've been for Cruz since the beginning, but this does worry me.  I'd love to see a Trump/Cruz ticket.

After all the whining, pissing and moaning I've just read, it's no wonder the conservatives continue to lose at what they do. Can't even agree on a simple blog, or even have the sense to "agree to disagree". Sad.
That said, Trump is a johnny-come-lately to conservatism, if at all. He is a capitalist first, and a conservative second, and I'm glad I was reminded about his eminent domain comment. There is nothing quite as repulsive as eminent domain, except abortion.
OTOH, Cruz has been LIVING IT, and been in the trenches fighting for it.
My vote goes to Cruz. EVEN IF CRUZ WON THE NOMINATION, Trumps gigantic ego would prevent him from sharing a ticket with Cruz.
I think I know where my vote should go, and it ain't with the real estate developer.

And YET............................here YOU are

Marilyn,

Who are you addressing? - names please.

Those can be explained away easily. Cruz talked about them. The federal reserve vote wasn't that important they lost before it came up for a vote. They didn't have enough votes. But he should have voted any ways. But the most important thing I believe he isn't eligible. This could create a problem. We know both parents have to be citizens and he has to be born on US soil. There is no question about this. And we know the Democrats are going to take him to court if he wins. Not before cause Obama/Biden would have to resign. So if this happens Obama stays in tell it is settled. Not good. Then runner up gets it. Democrats win. Trump has a problem to he doesn't understand the Constitution very well. He is for government healthcare and no were does the Constitution say healthcare. Rand Paul knows the Constitution best but the voters don't know it. So Paul is talking over there heads. Ben Carson doesn't know the Constitution to well ether. But the media destroyed him couldn't have a conservative black man running they would loose. We are not going to get what we want. So settle for what we can get and keep moving forward. we need Senators on our side.

Morton, unfortunately you are incorrect.  Judges have already stated that he IS eligible.  His mother was and is an American citizen and was of legal age.  His father had come to the states as a refugee which gave him status even though wasn't a citizen he had lived in the states for 5 yrs before Ted was born.  It has already gone there and done that so please, accept the fact that he IS eligible.

Nonsense.  Original intent trumps ANY subsequent Acts of Congress, Statutes, Resolutions, court decisions - whatever.  The only thing that would make either Cruz or Obama eligible is a constitutional amendment.  Otherwise, the meaning of the NBC term when it was set in the Constitution is the salient factor here.

Or do you people who are arguing to the contrary on this issue not believe in the Constitution, only in your personal proclivities???  If so, you are not true Americans.

TWO WRONGS DO NOT MAKE A RIGHT.

Stan,

Not one single qualified Constitutional scholar agrees with you

There are two types of citizens in the Constitution one natural born of a citizen  of America and one naturalized. Cruz was born a NBC as his mother was a NBC

Nothing about Constitutional law - why?

I have a friend who is an ophthalmologist.  A few years ago, I cut my hand pretty badly while he was visiting, and he stitched up the wound.  Were those sutures more like to cause me trouble than those which would have been used by an E.R. doctor I didn't even know?  The fact that a person doesn't specialize in a particular field does not mean that he knows nothing about it.

Go to the Yellow Pages and look for "Constitutional Lawyer" and let us know how many entries you find.  "General law" and "criminal law" attorneys deal with Constitutional issues on a daily basis.  Incidentally, it has been "Constitutional lawyers" -- with their erroneous interpretations of a document which was meant to be understandable to anyone with a fifth-grade education -- who have gotten us into this socialistic mess.

OK...

...Where are these "Constitutional Law" specialists in the telephone book?  A fellow could have a strong emphasis on Constitutional Law in school -- all law schools require several classes which involve Constitutional issues -- but very few offer any "Constitutional Law" specialty.

Even Harvard Law has no such program; their current programs are:

Law and Government,

Law and Business,

International and Comparative Law,

Law, Science, and Technology,

Law and Social Change,

Criminal Justice, and

Law and History.

Now, tell me how an attorney becomes a "Constitutional Lawyer".

JUST IN->  Pelosi Announces House Resolution To Condemn Trump’s ‘Racist, Xenophobic Tweets’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced Monday that Democrats will offer a resolution condemning President Donald Trump’s “racist” tweets against Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

Pelosi wrote a letter to House Democrats announcing that they will draft a resolution to condemn Trump’s “racist” tweets against progressive Democrats.

“This weekend, the President went beyond his own low standards using disgraceful language about Members of Congress,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote.

“This morning, the President doubled down on his attacks on our four colleagues suggesting they apologize to him,” she added. “Let me be clear, our Caucus will continue to forcefully respond to these disgusting attacks.”

President Trump taunted the “squad” of far-left first-term progressive Democrats on Sunday, telling them to go back and fix the places they came from before telling the rest of the country what to do.

Trump’s tweets caused an uproar amongst the media and Hollywood celebrity classes, and now, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D–TX) hopes to capitalize on the president’s message by condemning them in Congress.

Lee said she will draft a resolution of condemnation.

“Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee will be drafting a Resolution of Condemnation for the words used by President Trump about four members of the House of Representatives over the weekend,” Jackson Lee’s office wrote:

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly......

....it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

President Trump’s remarks seemed particularly directed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who is a former Somalian refugee.

Omar said Friday that the president “shouldn’t be in office” and told an audience of high school students that America was failing to uphold its promise to be a just society.

Rep. Omar said Trump was “stoking white nationalism” after he tweeted that some progressive congresswomen should “go back” to where they came from.

“You are stoking white nationalism because you are angry that people like us are serving in Congress and fighting against your hate-filled agenda,” Omar wrote:

Ilhan Omar  @IlhanMN

As Members of Congress, the only country we swear an oath to is the United States.

Which is why we are fighting to protect it from the worst, most corrupt and inept president we have ever seen. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1150381394234941448

“America's answer to the intolerant man is diversity, the very diversity which our heritage of religious freedom has inspired.” -RFK

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez claimed Monday that President Trump’s remarks serve as the “hallmark language of white supremacists.”

President Trump tweeted Monday that Democrats need to apologize for the “foul language” and “terrible things they have said”:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said. So many people are angry at them & their horrible & disgusting actions!

Donald J. Trump  @realDonaldTrump

If Democrats want to unite around the foul language & racist hatred spewed from the mouths and actions of these very unpopular & unrepresentative Congresswomen, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I can tell you that they have made Israel feel abandoned by the U.S.
