WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that a town in upstate New York did not violate the Constitution by starting its public meetings with a prayer from a “chaplain of the month” who was almost always Christian.

Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, writing for the majority in a 5-to-4 decision that divided the court’s more conservative members from its liberal ones, said the prayers were merely ceremonial. They were neither unduly sectarian nor likely to make members of other faiths feel unwelcome.

Poll: Should the United States get out of the UN?

“Ceremonial prayer,” he wrote, “is but a recognition that, since this nation was founded and until the present day, many Americans deem that their own existence must be understood by precepts far beyond that authority of government to alter or define.”

In dissent, Justice Elena Kagan said the town’s practices could not be reconciled “with the First Amendment’s promise that every citizen, irrespective of her religion, owns an equal share of her government.”

Dose include a Satanic ritual too.

Nobody protests displays of ignorance.

Now you see this is opposite of what they have been doing for the past God knows how long

Don't forget it was a 1 vote decision.
The margin doesn't matter. In actuality, the vote doesn't matter. The gummint has no authority over how or when people pray.

thats why theres 9 so there cant be a tie

wow...our government parents are allowing us to have a prayer...well goody..goody for them...what is pathetic is that we have to go to the supreme court to do it.......

Folks, let's keep praying up a storm for our leaders to come to the truth or to be exposed when not operating in truth, for the Courts, for the Military, the Police, the Federal agencies.  Let us pray that God speaks to their hearts and conscience and causes a spiritual revival in these agencies and departments. If they do not operate honestly, we ask that You exposes their lies, dirty deeds, betrayals, etc.

Father God, we lift up our leaders and all who work for the government of the US and we ask that you will grant them wisdom, knowledge of Your will Lord God that they may serve You while they are serving the citizens of this nation created under Your almighty hand.  We ask that you make and keep them honest and confound those who would lie and deceive.  We ask that You Lord create a revival world wide so others may come to a saving knowledge of Your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We ask that You forgive us our many sins and heal our land and we ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

“WE WANT GOD” is an answer to the stress in our country. The stress exists because organized atheism is bullying Organized Christianity. When this same stress existed in the Soviet Union, Christians began standing up to atheism on June 2, 1979, by saying in unison “We Want God.” Because of that stance, they caused the Soviet Union to collapse within ten years, marking the end of organized atheism in the governing bodies of Eastern Europe. Peggy Noonan documented that story in the Wall Street Journal under the title “We Want God.”

The regime of organized atheism ruled in Eastern Europe for more than 40 years, using oppressive bureaucracies and armed forces to impose its rule. In the United States of America, the many factions of organized atheism are abusing the rule of law to chip away at the religious freedoms traditionally enjoyed by Organized Christianity. This process of ‘death by a thousand cuts’ is sanctioned, even encouraged, by a regime that is imposing the rule of Big Government on our country through the use of oppressive bureaucracies. So far, this process does not include the use of armed forces.

You and I and all like-minded people in our own country can also stand up to the bullying of organized atheism. We can say in unison “We Want God,” and we can say it as we decide whom to vote for on November 4, 2014. This November, elect only those candidates whom you can trust to become servants of the people, not bullies of the people. Elect only those candidates whom you can trust to take Big Government Bureaucracy out of our homes and out of our private lives.

Stand up to the bullies. Tell them “We Want God.”

"WE WANT GOD."  In 2 Chronicles 7:14  God says: If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We have a promise from God and with all my heart , I believe all things are possible with God, but without God , we are nothing and we have nothing.  If God's people would do three things, God would respond in three ways. The Lord's people need to become humble, that is confess; they need to pray, and repent, and they need to turn and come back to Him. If they will do this, God would hear, forgive, and heal them. Now we all should be ready and willing to come back to God and stay there

@ Mary Keltner,

Lord God, forgive my sins and forgive the sins of this nation and please Lord, heal our land in Jesus' name I pray, Amen!

I do not want the Christian God

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.

You don't get to interrupt me
