Steven Rattner: ‘We Need Death Panels’; Will PolitiFact Reverse ‘Lie Of The Year’ Tag On Palin?

From NewsBusters:

For those who want the short answer to the question in this post’s title, the answer is almost definitely “no.” But in a New York Times op-ed piece in mid-September, former Obama “car czar” Steven Rattner effectively said that the so-called “fact-check” site known as PolitiFact should make amends to former Alaska Governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

In December 2009, PolitiFact’s Angie Drobnic Holan outrageously characterized the following statement made by Palin in an August 2009 Facebook post as its “Lie of the Year” (bold is mine):

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

What follows are several paragraphs from Rattner’s Times September 16 op-ed. Rattner understates the real-world power of ObamaCare’s Independent Advisory Board, which makes his citation of England’s version of death panels as something worthy of imitation a de facto admission (to the point where it doesn’t matter whether he himself admits it) that Palin is right about ObamaCare as it was proposed (at the time of her Facebook post) and ultimately enacted (bolds are mine):

WE need death panels.

Well, maybe not death panels, exactly, but unless we start allocating health care resources more prudently — rationing, by its proper name — the exploding cost of Medicare will swamp the federal budget.

But in the pantheon of toxic issues — the famous “third rails” of American politics — none stands taller than overtly acknowledging that elderly Americans are not entitled to every conceivable medical procedure or pharmaceutical.

Charming, just charming...

Think it might happen here???

If you haven't already seen them, here are two videos you should watch:

"From now on, depressions will be scientifically created." -- Congressman Charles A. Lindbergh Sr. , 1913

So they have known they would be in trouble when the baby boomers retired with social security. They want to move towards a global governance and global monetary system. They push women's liberation to break up the family, get everyone double producing, crash the economy right before baby boomers retire, clean out retirement investments. Bankrupt the country, scorched earth policy. Get Americans on their knees by shipping jobs overseas for decades, break down borders for cheap labor to further drive Americans in the ground. Offer the solution as globalism after Americans lose big time. As far as the eugenics movement, there is no doubt that there is a movement for DEPOPULATION in the oligarch circles.

"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country." ~ Edward Bernays, "Propaganda," 1928

If Bernays is correct, which there is no doubt in my mind that he is, this self proclaimed "invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country" has been operational for some time and now they are steering us directly into an iceberg. I think it is about time we admitted to ourselves they exist, identify who they are and monitor their objectives before we find ourselves in a position where we no longer have that opportunity.

The one measure of ObamaNOcare that's all telling is that the cowardly polaticians who snuck it into law don't have to have it. They wouldn't touch it for any reason, but they'll sure stick the people with it. Shame on them all.

The politicians are the ones that really screwed up.  Who ever hear of voting for a bill before you read it?  And what kind of idiot tells their House to just vote for the bill and read it later?  Unbelievable.

SWEET: Republican Representative Introduces Resolution To Expel Nancy Pelosi From Congress

Louisiana Republican Rep. Ralph Abraham has introduced legislation to expel Speaker Nancy Pelosi from the House of Representatives.

Abraham’s resolution accuses Pelosi of a “vicious crusade” against President Donald Trump.

Above: Rep. Ralph Abraham

“Nancy Pelosi’s vicious crusade against our lawfully-elected President is nothing more than a politically-motivated witch hunt and it must be stopped,” Abraham said in a statement obtained by Fox News. “She has disgraced the people’s House and weaponized the Speaker’s gavel for her party’s political gain.”

“House Democrats spent nearly three years obsessed with election meddling only to dwarf any such efforts with their own deceitful plan to nullify the 2016 election and prevent President Trump from winning in 2020,” the statement continued. “I have introduced a resolution calling for her to be expelled from the House and for the Speaker’s Office to be vacated.”

The text of the resolution, which is most definitely not going to pass the Democrat-controlled House reads: “Resolved, That pursuant to Article 1, Section 5, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, Representative Nancy Pelosi be, and she hereby is, expelled from the House of Representatives and the Office of the Speaker is declared to be vacant.”

Fox News notes that constitutional clause holds that “Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.”
