There are days that I wonder why I spend so much time and effort on making this the best site it can be. Today is one of those days. The main stream media hates the Tea Party, Democrats hate the Tea Party...heck, some Republicans even hate us. Why do I do it? This country is falling apart and we are the last best hope to turn it around. I believe that.
Yet, my email box exploded today. Not with things that are important to the Conservative cause like Gun Control, Out of Control Spending, Printing Presses spitting out dollars like monopoly money or even the lying unemployment numbers or Executive Orders. No, conspiracy theories and first amendment rights was all I found people could possibly be concerned about today.
I have been on other sites and I have run another site and you have more freedom to say what you want here than you do on any other site.
I admit, I am conflicted by this situation. While I do want everyone to speak freely, as a parent, I ask myself how I would feel if I had lost a small child. How would I feel to see their death turned into a conspiracy. I would be devastated. Kids the age of the Sandy Hook victims were such a joy to me. So, about one month after a child's death, I ask myself, do we really want to rip open the thin scab these parents have developed with the theories that I am seeing?
At what point does your right to free speech end? I had a wise 6th grade teacher, now passed to a better place, that always told us 'your rights end where another person's nose begins'. I have believed that my entire life and I still do. So, I ask...do these theories hit the nose of the families of the Sandy Hook victims. I believe that it does and it sears them with pain to read things like: it is a hoax and they children aren't dead they are hidden because we never saw the bodies....seriously folks, do you want to see the bullet riddled bodies of children? Is that what we have become?
Or, there is the one where it is a government Psy-op...or Hollywood knew before because it was in the Batman movie. Are you not ripping the heart and soul out of grieving parents when you post things like that on the internet knowing they might see it?
The parents and witnesses to this sad event are being re-victimized by the over zealous people who are concocting these theories. Does anyone really want to be a party to doing this to the parents and the traumatized witnesses? Where is the humanity in that?
Tea Party people are some of the nicest people anyone could ever meet. It is our weakness and our greatest strength....open your hearts to the parents and survivors of the tragedy. Do not re-victimize them.
Do not hurt them more than they have already been hurt. What if it had been your child? You...WE are better than that....focus on what we can change. Focus your efforts on saving our Liberty and Freedom because that, my friends, is where our fight is....it is not in the trenches of our own site fighting our own people over conspiracy theories.
That said, yes, we will not allow conversations that disrupt the the political intent of this site. If a topic becomes too disruptive we will limit it to preserve the integrity of the site. If we remove something, you will appropriately advised by the staff here.
To those that are threatening to leave.....is your priority Liberty and Freedom or not? If so, your fight is not with us....it is with Obama and his minions. Chose your fights wisely.
If you have future comments...direct them to me. I am ultimately responsible for what transpires on the site and fully accept that responsibility.
This discussion will be left open for comments as I try to herd the cats in one productive direction.

You 3 Dee, Melony & Swreetsweeper, love you dearly, no doubt you all do a great job. I dont believe I replied on this issue. However you 3 are doing the same thing as the corrupt fed govt in violating our 1st amendment rights. I would like you 3 post what you found offensive, what you object to, without any names of who replied. I didnt send anyone an E-MAIL or I have no intention of ever leaving. All the members here are great even tho we disagree at times. You 3 overstepped your boundries, this is a 1st amendment issue Freedom of Speech. Nomatter what you 3 I love deeply. God Bless
Permalink Reply by National Director, Dee on January 18, 2013 at 6:20pm Sorry, John. You are wrong. As I wrote to Michael earlier...if you want 100% free speech to say anything that you want to say, then you start your own website. You are guests on this site since you do not own it.

Permalink Reply by Bryan Smith on January 17, 2013 at 8:05pm I compare these conspiracy theories to the ones that were thrown around after the terrorist attacks on 9/11. There were theories about how the United States government, and President George W. Bush, were the masterminds behind the whole deal. I think the theories were ridiculous and harmful, and I also think the theories about the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary are ridiculous and harmful. The biggest difference is that I expect that type of behavior from an angry, hateful, left-leaning zealot.
My interest in the Tea Party movement and the reason I joined, was because I believed I was joining a group of like-minded patriots and critical thinkers. I would invite people to continue to move in the same direction, to keep their eye on the prize and to be careful not to cheapen our efforts, or make us all look silly.

Permalink Reply by Chris J on January 18, 2013 at 6:59am @Peter...there are MANY inconsistencies in this whole narrative. Starting with the guy who took in the kids. Why didn't he take them to the fire barn where there were parents and other kids, it was just down the hill from his house, you could see it in the camera shot. What about the guy in the woods "chopping trees" for firewood. The medical examiner who said from the get-go that the kids had all been shot with rifle rounds but the police said Lanza used hand guns only. The gun the MSM shows being tken out of the trunk of the car is a shot gun, not a rifle. The guy laughing and joking before he realizes he's on national TV, the people that had no tears, the mother who immediately launched into her anti-gun speech, the supposed FB page that went up 3 days before Victoria Soto died, the Google page that shows the fundraising site went up 3 days before the shooting, and many, many more questions remain unanswered. I don't think these are unreasonable questions and the American people have a right to know. Just like Benghazi, just like Fast and Furious, and many other "incidents."
The MSM LOVES to show us the blood and gore...VA Tech, Columbine, Ft. Hood, and others. But there were no pictures or videos of ANY of that. I'm not saying they should have showed the blood and gore up close and personal, but you never saw any ambulances rushing off to the hospital, they didn't even show any pics of broken windows, or bullet holes, or any of the generic pictures that wouldn't offend people.
The blood wasn't even dry on the ground and the gun-grabbers were already calling for the ban on guns of all kinds.
This is like the movie with Robert DeNiro, "Wag the Dog" where a prez got into a sordid love triangle and his people started a war to keep the prez from being caught and found out, maybe not exactly that, but that was the basic plot of the movie.
Do I believe that our administration is capable of doing this? Yes, I do. I believe they are capable of anything.
With all due respect to this site and the admins, you do a great job, and I wouldn't want to do it, but you can't keep people from talking about something. Our gov't has done enough underhanded things that need to be brought into the daylight. You can't tell the posters of blogs what they can and can't say. If you do, you lose people. If Sites like this tell people what they can and can't talk about then they will go elsewhere.

Permalink Reply by T L C on January 17, 2013 at 8:23pm Southern translation for "Bless your heart" is "You poor ignorant child." LOL I know that's not how you meant it. I would have voted for Hillary over Obama, that's how bad I wanted him out.
Permalink Reply by I.M. Patriot on January 17, 2013 at 8:18pm There is a problem in dealing with truth today. Sandy Hook stands as a monument of great loss yet the loss was submerged for the political sphere, and in doing so, like Benghazi, the truth was vacated or parked. Like JFK's murder people are unsatisfied with the Sandy Hook explanation, and justifiably. Why is 9/11 different?
Permalink Reply by Xavier on January 17, 2013 at 8:27pm Well said and I agree 100%. We have much more pressing issues to deal with in our fight to take back America. This is nothing more than garnish. The MSM has already succeeded in labeling us as racist, sexist, greedy, religious extremists, yet we squabble over unproven theories. We're merely helping those who wish to destroy us. We need to hold this administration accountable, restore fiscal order, defend the Constitution, network with women and minorities in order to vanquish these ridiculous stereotypes, increase our presence in all facets of media, find ways to punish the MSM and hold them accountable for their blatant bias and "talking points" propaganda, utilize our legislative and gubernatorial advantages to exact change at the state level, and continue to find articulate, charismatic voices to take our fight to the people and beyond. The fiasco we witnessed today truly makes me fear for our future. There are entirely too many decent, intelligent, and steadfast patriots in here to allow such pointless debate to consume our base. God Bless!
Permalink Reply by InfoWarsTV1 on January 18, 2013 at 7:09pm With all due respect, there is hardly anything pointless about protecting against another attack on the Constitution, particularly the Second Amendment. It was put in place to protect the American population from attacks from foreign armies and tyrannical government. Disarming the American public is a MAJOR step towards the globalist agenda. The United States owns over 50% of the arms held by citizens in the world. "Fast and furious" was already admittedly put in motion to disarm the American population. The pressing question at the moment is what other means would they go to to disarm Americans.
btw: Dee your doing an excellent job! Keep up the good work!!! :D
