Sebelius blames Texas for low Obamacare enrollments

Political opposition in Texas to the federal health care overhaul hasn't helped enrollment numbers that lag behind expectations as next week's deadline to sign up looms, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Friday.

Texas has the highest rate of uninsured residents in the nation. As of March 1, about 295,000 people in Texas had signed up for coverage — less than half of the target of 629,000 enrollees originally set by the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Gov. Rick Perry and Republican leaders have consistently slammed the health overhaul while simultaneously refusing Medicaid expansion in a state where nearly 1 out of every 4 residents is uninsured.

FIRE/ REMOVE / ARREST  /JAIL Kathleen Sebelius NOW for PERJURY!!!!

Couldn't say it any better!

Being a Democrat is a mental illness....

Texas may hold the key to undoing all of Obamacare.  Dr. Steven Hotze's case coming from Texas challenging Obamacare on the way it was unconstitutionally passed may be the best chance to undo the entire law.  Listen to Constitutionally Speaking Origination & Takings Clauses w/Andre... who is Dr. Hotze's attorney.

Listen to the discussion with Attorney Andrew Schlafly about Hotze v. Sebelius & the Origination Clause and Fifth Amendment Takings Clause challenge in United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. If this case is successful all of Obamacare is unconstitutional in violation of the Origination Clause. All I will say to this one is tough turkey Dems...........! P.S

If it's not conservatives, it's Texas.

...as if choosing to be 'uninsured' is somehow an atrocity.

I know many people here in my state of West Virginia who can not afford the insurance.... When one has to decide whether to eat, buy meds and pay the necessary bills. Which would you all choose???

My state got Aetna Insurance for seniors so they could skip O-care  It pays well, serves the purpose

most of all, we can afford it.  Best thing to do with Obamacare-Total REPEAL!!  Changing your country is not the same as buying insurance. P.S.

I do not know many folks here in Texas that give a rats behind what sebelius thinks.  Well, there may be a group in the Socialist Republic of Austin.

SEBELIUS,  YOU ARE AS ROTTEN AS THEY COME!  WHEN ARE "YOU GOING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR THE FAILURE OF OBAMARATCARE?  YOU ARE AS A DISGRACE TO THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, AS MUCH AS YOUR FAVORABLE POSITION ON ABORTION!  JUST THINK IF "YOUR PARENTS HAD AN ABORTION", YOU WOULDN'T BE HERE TO SCREW THINGS UP AND KISS OBAMARATS ASS!

thank god for texas.....great and growing economy, low taxes, and lots of jobs, with a booming oil drilling program on private land, with people getting jobs that pay 80 to 1 hundred thou a year....if you want to drive yourself into a shithole...go live in Chicago or California, if you want to live free and become financially better...then go to texas.

OMG!! WTF!!: Rep. Ilhan Omar Tells CNN That She Doesn’t Know Why Her Anti-Israel Tweets Would Offend Jewish People

Rep. Ilhan Omar defended her anti-Israel sentiments on CNN on Thursday, saying that she doesn’t know why those comments would offend the Jewish-American community.

Omar famously tweeted in 2012 that “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

When asked about the tweet by CNN, Omar responded, “oh, that’s a really regrettable way of expressing that. I don’t know how my comments would be offensive to Jewish-Americans.”

Omar added that her comments were “precisely addressing what was happening during the Gaza war,” and that she was “clearly” speaking about the way the “Israeli regime” was “conducting themselves in that war.”

Oh?!

Without any follow-up or push back, CNN moved on to asking the accused antisemitic congresswoman about her opinions on Rep. Steve King and his “racist remarks.”

While her perceived antisemitism is given a pass — Rep. King is boldly branded without any hesitation.

King has repeatedly stated that he was taken out of context and disavowed white supremacy and all forms of hatred – while Omar stands behind her bigotry. Yet, only King is facing consequences and blow back.
