A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) partnered with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to pass a comprehensive immigration bill that would grant citizenship to millions of illegal aliens.

That was then – a little over a year ago. Today, in an interview with Breitbart News, the Florida Republican berated President Obama for considering unilateral amnesty, shifted cleanly against “comprehensive” reform, and said the U.S. shouldn't even debate citizenship for illegal aliens until the border is secure.

“I continue to believe our system needs to be reformed and I’ve learned in the last year that because of such an incredible distrust of the federal government no matter who’s in charge, the only way you’re going to be able to deal with this issue is by first securing the border and ensuring that illegal immigration is under control,” Rubio told me.
A likely candidate presidential candidate in 2016, Rubio sent Obama a letter Tuesday outlining his break from a comprehensive approach to the problem – pairing border security with a years-long path for illegal aliens to eventually obtain citizenship.

He also told the president to back off from a rumored plan to expand unilateral amnesty, awarded in 2012 to individuals who came to the U.S. illegally as minors, to as many as five million people.

glad to see some one stand up to obozzo.

As a Florida voter who voted for Rubio I was disappointed when he teamed with Gang of 7 to support Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to pass a comprehensive immigration bill that would grant citizenship to millions of illegal aliens. It was then people in Florida seen Rubio real agenda when it comes to immigration. Rubio in my book shit in his mess skillet with alot of the very people who voted for him and I'll think twice when his relection come around.

Well said, thank you Malcolm for being honest

A Republican? We should place him on the watch list and do not trust for some time! What he said is correct but is it just politics now? Why would a Republican in Florida do what he did before? Forgiveness is a good thing, but with caution! Maybe he woke up but why now?

Here's another one that like the great obummer; he has evolved.

Illegal immigration is wrong -- plain and simple. - Senator Charles Schumer

Well, that was schumer's old philosophy, apparently his evolved stance is - Y'all come!

Under stress, people revert to a more comfortable time.  Rubio announced his partnership with Schumer and their scheme to dump tens of millions of illegals onto the US landscape... "oh, and we'll do something about the border".  Do you remember that???  Rubio is prepping his political bench for a run in 2016, and you can take that to the bank.  Once a RINO, always a RINO.

The very best we can do is to look into the last two decades of a candidate's history... see what he said in 2005 and compare it to 2009 and 2012.  It's called political evolution, then follow the money.  Dig deep and you will find the real motivation.  Then find a candidate that has not evolved and has stood rock solid on his principles... that will be a candidate to vote for.

Border Security MUST happen first along with passing & enforcing mandatory E-verify. Only then can we begin discussions on other "immigration" issues.  BUT, anyone here ILLEGALLY even AFTER these conditions are met, should never become Citizens, maybe legal status after very strict measures and also applying from their home nation behind all the good LEGAL Immigrants patiently waiting!

What's the point in giving any kind of legal status.  Besides, they have a legal status; they're criminals. You have the likes of bob menendez out of New Jersey that wants a ballot measure for ILLEGALS to vote.  What would the ILLEGALS care about citizenship??
Strict E Verify - All employees, not just the new hires.  Get rid of the one's hiding out for years.
Heavily fine AND collect within 60 days from any employer that has ILLEGALS or Social Security Number discrepancies (number mismatch with name) with employees.
Inject RFID tags into any previously deported ILLEGAL.  That's what they do in mexico to stop kidnapping of wealthy businessmen'  kids.
Check green card ID for any monies sent outside US.  No valid ID, 20% surcharge.
Deport within 30 days for ANY police contact.
Fine heavily AND collect from any bank, like bank of (latin) America that does business with ILLEGALS.
Not a dollar from a lottery scratcher unless it goes for a bus ticket to the nearest border.
This would be a good start!

I believe there is another ILLEGAL alien supporter and advocate - Luis V. Gutiérrez (D-IL).  There are 16 MILLION citizens unemployed.  How can anyone possibly want amnesty for 25 MILLION ILLEGAL aliens to take more jobs away.
Nasty pelosi tells us that enforcement of, on the books, immigration laws is UN-AMERICAN,  Just what country do these corrupt"O"crats represent?  Must be the united states of mexico.
REMEMBER in NOVEMBER.

It's about time Sen. Marco Rubio came over to the RIGHT side of this issue. In the meantime the floodgates are still open and have to slammed shut.

Enough of the actions or lack thereof in Washington.

This November vote out of office every slimy liberal occupying office in any city, state or Congressional office and particulary that fraud acting as President of the United States of America when the time comes.

It's obvious the current foothold of the Rhinos and libs in control of the Congress do not have the balls to do their duty and impeach the treasonous b--st-rd vacationer holding down the White House Presidency. So vote out all the go along sob's.

Rubio is a snake and not to be trusted just like Rand Paul  They say what people want to hear.  If this wasn't an election year, Rubio would be saying the same thing he said last year.

TRUMP:  Trump To Give ‘Start Your Engines’ Command At Dayton

President Donald Trump will give the command for drivers to start their engines before the Daytona 500.

Daytona International Speedway officials named Trump the grand marshal for NASCAR’s season opener, meaning he will deliver the most famous four words in auto racing. “Gentleman, start your engines,” has been a staple of races around the country and world for decades.

White House spokesman Judd Deere said Thursday the president plans to attend the race. Track president Chip Wile confirmed the news in a release.

“Daytona International Speedway has been privileged to have hosted several sitting presidents of the United States over our history,” Wile said. “We’re honored that the president of the United States has chosen to experience the pageantry and excitement of ‘The Great American Race.’”

Trump is the third sitting president to attend a race at Daytona, but only the second to attend the Daytona 500. George W. Bush attended in 2004. Trump is the first to be given an honorary role in pre-race ceremonies.

Trump is scheduled to spend part of the Presidents Day weekend at his private club in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a flight restriction for Sunday and the U.S. Secret Service, which is responsible for presidential security, also tweeted to fans that drones are prohibited within 30 miles of the race in Daytona Beach — a restriction put in place for presidential visits.

Trump has hosted previous NASCAR champions at the White House and last October awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to motorsports titan Roger Penske. Last year, Trump also praised retired driver Mario Andretti, the Daytona 500 winner in 1967, reminiscing about a ride Andretti gave him in a race car for his reality show “The Apprentice.”

“I said, ‘Mario, get me out of here. I want to get out of this car,’” Trump recalled. “We went so fast. We literally — we covered four blocks in like a second.”
