Race Baiting Rangel Says Some Republicans 'Think They Won the Civil War'

Veteran Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) had some harsh words for the Republican Party during a Thursday campaign rally for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

As he has done repeatedly before, Rangel compared some members of the GOP to confederates from the Civil War era. But at the Thursday evening event, he added that they "believe that slavery isn't over."

"We have to win. We have to be able to send a national message with Andrew Cuomo. And the thing is: Everything we believe in — everything we believe in — they hate. They don't disagree — they hate! They think if you didn't come from Europe 30 years ago, you didn't even make it. Some of them believe that slavery isn't over and they and think they won the Civil War!" Rangel shouted.

Hey Charlie, Republicans DID win the first Civil War, and it seems that Democrats are hell bent on starting the second.

Amazing that a war that is so thoroughly documented could become so distorted. For close to a century after the War for Southern Independence was ended, people, and historians North and South acknowledged that that war was not for the perpetuation of slavery. It was really not until our first Marxist President Bill Clinton sat in the seat of power that Political Correctness became widely known. The defamatory assaults on the Southern nation accelerated at an alarming rate after that. This war was as much a war about national self determination as the first American Revolution was. Americans it is true were once one people, but in 1861 the people of 13 Southern States sought self determination, and independent nationhood, and dissolved a union that was always acknowledged as voluntary. Lincoln did not see it that way. Union meant subjugation as far as he was concerned. But the will of the Southern People was the factor that did bring into the reality the dormant nation that had lurked beneath the surface since colonial days. The American North and the American South were as different as England and Scotland.

Slavery had it's origin in the 1680s in the English colonies of North America. In 1861, Southern Nationalism was strong, but only roughly 10 percent of the Southern population were slave owners. This was not nearly enough of a base to motivate a population to a war of such great suffering and brutality. The North in general was not at all willing to go to war until Lincoln manipulated the Fort Sumter affair. The emancipation efforts of the antebellum period were predominantly Southern for the most part. The American Colonization Society probably manumitted a hundred times as many former slaves as the grossly over rated underground railroad. The American Colonization Society was predominately Southern and put their money where their mouth was, as they manumitted former slaves and with their own money sent them to a new homeland where they were independent of White Americans. Liberia prospered for many years, and funds built Monrovia, and set many of the freemen in farms with the implements to plant and harvest. But in 1866 the bottom dropped out, and no more funding went to Liberia. The African homeland gradually inched it's way to poverty, and regression. Lincoln himself had been a member of the American Colonization Society. He regarded the abolitionists as a radical and dangerous sect that provided no means of transition from bondage to freedom. This proved only too true as the 13th amendment on paper freed the slaves, but kept the freemen in a long term co-dependent relationship that has never really ended. Lincoln to his credit did see ahead, and initiated the Chiquiri project to give the freemen a home of their own where they could be independent instead of co-dependent. Lincoln never got to implement his relocation strategies, and there is not one shred of evidence that somehow he changed his mind. Radical seizure of government after the Lincoln assassination forever ended the only true and moral remedy to rectify an enslaved population. Moses gave the example when he insisted that the enslaving nation let his people go back into their ancestral homeland.
The Southern nation was motivated by a strong sense of patriotism and nationalism. Only a small minority of Southerners had any real interest in the institution of slavery which was an inherited institution, not an institution created by them. This is clearly demonstrated by the compliance of the Southern States who before the Reconstruction Act ratified the 13th amendment ending the institution of Slavery. If the War had been about slavery, the still defiant Southern people would not have so easily ratified the 13th Amendment which could not be legal until the 3/4 majority which included themselves ratified it. The 14th Amendment which was not ratified by the Constitutional 3/4 majority was staunchly resisted by the Southern States as well as some Northern States. The 14th was in reality about giving absolute power to the federal government and thus neutralizing the 10th amendment effectively. One need only to ask why did Southerners who had fought so hard, agreed willingly to the 13th Amendment abolishing the institution of slavery, and yet were so ferociously resistant to the 14th Amendment which was about the real causes of their desire for national independence.

Today, Southerners and Northerners have re-united willingly. But that seed of nationhood still lies dormant in the South, and just as England and Scotland are unified, yet, the seed of a nation still lives in Scotland.

Black Nationalism, and even Black Supremacy, on the other hand is alive and well in America. This relationship is no England and Scotland relationship. This one is an England and South Africa relationship. African Nationalism will not go away. While there are many black who prosper and bond with America, there are many, many more who have their heart and soul in the future of their own people, and will never bond with the Americans of the original European descent in a cooperative and non destructive relationship. White Americans are gradually accepting the reality that the co-dependent racial relationship is their nemesis and could erase them from this continent. Blacks on the other hand are in increasing numbers desiring independence from this oppressive and mutually destructive relationship.

Notice "chuckie" never tells "his people" how much money he's making off their backs?

rangel is as stupid gets, he probably never read or studied AMERICAN HISTORY, lincoln was a REPUBLICIAN PRESIDENT, and through the Civil War (War Between the States) slavery was abolished in the USA, but the democrap party still has the ignorant blacks that want to still be victims in the bondage of slavery. Look at every city or state that has democrap wanna be slave owners, look at the poverty level, unemployment, high single parents, living on government handouts and being slaves to these democraps. But the representives of these areas don't live in that poverty stricken area. These are the stats:

States with Republican governors have significantly lower unemployment rates than states with Democratic governors, and GOP-led states are leading the nation in job creation,” McDonnell added.  “Simply put, the policy prescriptions and reforms of Republican governors are getting the job done.”

Question is, has he paid his taxes yet? Rangel is an idiot. Worse are the idiots who keep voting for him. Are you proud, NY?

Well....charlie...slavery isn't over....just ask the tribes in Africa and the Middle East today who the enslavers are..it is not Americans.give you a hint...the "religion of peace"...and hey...the Repubs did win the Civil War, Lincoln was a Republican.......remember ...the KKK was ALL DEMONcraps!!!!

The Black leadership, if that what you want to call it, has not changed one iota from the tribal cheifs who sold their own
neighbors into slavery a couple centuries ago,  gread and power,
has not changed a bit,  and the black slavery is as much alive
today under the guise of leadership of the ilk of rangle, jackson,
sharpton, obama, et al.....
These slimy scumbags are just as much slave masters, a were
their predasessors who sold their own people into slavery, and
are still selling slavery to the black population, in that they incite
racial violence,  do everything in their power to undermine any
blacks from becoming self sufficient and self reliant on their
own merits, and deliberatly have destroyed any semblance of
an idea that with an education,  any black can do anyting, or
go anywhere on their own acheivments, if they are willing to
work for a place in the world, same as anybody else.
Rangle, jackson, sharpton, obama are the greatest threat to
the black community today, along with others of their same ilk,
all pedelars of black slavery to the system and the goooberment.
The hypothitical black leadership, may as well sit inthe same
chairs as any slave owner through out history, as thay are just
as much to fault, and still apply the same cruel and inhumane
treatment to their own brothern by keeping their brothern
Impoverished and from acheiving totaly independence from the
governemtn system on their own.
Typical  communist teaching, tell the same lie enought times,
and it believed as the truth by the uneducated and
unenlightened, and this is practiced daily by the government
and its black political  scumbags, rangle, obama, jackson,
sharpton... et al......................

Please, Richard,  not Andersonville,  we don't want to
disturb the 13,000 ghosts there,   maybe alcatraz,, only
mob criminal ghosts,   not soldiers

And we ALL know that rangel is an ASSWIPE of the first degree! PERIOD!

Not only is charlie a raciest  but he is stupid and uninformed.    The Republicans did win the civil war.

A republican presiden also ISSUED the edict that freed the slaves.    How stupid and uninformed

can you get.  sorta makes you wonder why charlie and so many blacks are democrats

Agreed. The Democrat party is the party of racism, but the liberal history writers have purged that fact from the history books. The Democrat party have duped blacks for decades into voting for them and hope to do the same with Latinos who are expecting amnesty from the dictator president. (I've always wondered if Obama were a Republican, would he have received the majority of minority votes?)

HEY Rangel, Your right slavery isn't over and you only have to look into the mirror to see the Hater and new Master who keeps the Black American's inslaved, and it wears the sign Black caucas, DEMOCRAT !.

YIKES!!! Chelsea Clinton Emphatically States A Person With A Beard And A Penis Can ‘Absolutely’ Identify As A Woman

  • The one issue Hillary and Chelsea don’t appear to agree on entirely is transgender self-identification
  • In an interview with The Sunday Times, journalist Decca Aitkenhead asked the Clintons about transgender self-identification
  • Chelsea Clinton replied ‘yes’ emphatically when asked if someone with a beard and penis can ever be a woman
  • ‘It’s going to take a lot more time and effort to understand what it means to be defining yourself differently,’ Hillary said
  • Aitkenhead said Hillary became ‘uneasy’ when the question was asked while Chelsea shot a ‘furious stare’ at the journalist as her mother answered
  • Hillary added: ‘It’s a very big generational discussion, because this is not something I grew up with or ever saw’

(Daily Mail) – It may appear Hillary and Chelsea Clinton always see eye-to-eye, but in a recent interview one topic cracked the facade of the like-minded mother-daughter power duo.

The one issue Hillary and Chelsea don’t appear to agree on entirely is transgender self-identification.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, journalist Decca Aitkenhead asked the Clintons if someone with a beard and a penis can ever be a woman, to which Chelsea replied emphatically, ‘Yes.’

However, as Aitkenhead describes it, Hillary looked ‘uneasy’, and blamed generational gaps for being less accepting.

‘Errr. I’m just learning about this,’ Hillary responded. ‘It’s a very big generational discussion, because this is not something I grew up with or ever saw. It’s going to take a lot more time and effort to understand what it means to be defining yourself differently.’

The Clintons sat sown with Aitkenhead to promote the book they co-authored, The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience.

The book features Danica Roem, the first trans woman elected to a U.S. state legislature.

According Aitkenhead’s account, she tells Hillary during the interview that many British feminists of Hillary’s generation have a problem with the idea that a ‘lesbian who doesn’t want to sleep with someone who has a penis is transphobic.’

Hillary nods in agreement, while Chelsea ‘stiffens and stares at me’, according to Aitkenhead.

The journalist then adds that many women of Hillary’s generation are uncomfortable with biological males sharing women’s bathrooms.

‘I would say that, absolutely,’ Hillary nods firmly. ‘Absolutely. Yes.’

That’s when Chelsea begins shooting a ‘furious stare’ at Aitkenhead, who points it out to her.

‘I’m a terrible actor’, Chelsea laughs.

Chelsea then says she is thrilled with the National Health Service’s decision to assign patients to single-sex wards according to the gender they identify as, instead of their biological make up.

‘How can you treat someone if you don’t recognize who they feel and know in their core they are?’ Chelsea says.

‘And I strongly support children being able to play on the sports teams that match their own gender identity,’ she adds. ‘I think we need to be doing everything we can to support kids in being whoever they know themselves to be and discovering who they are.’

At this point Hillary looks conflicted.

‘I think you’ve got to be sensitive to how difficult this is,’ Hillary says. ‘There are women who’d say [to a trans woman], ”You know what, you’ve never had the kind of life experiences that I’ve had. So I respect who you are, but don’t tell me you’re the same as me.” I hear that conversation all the time.’

Despite the clear tension in the room, the pair say they don’t argue about this topic.

But according to Aitkenhead, ‘I get the impression they don’t like to present anything less than a united front to the world.’
