In today’s politically correct environment, you can never be too sure what to say, lest you might offend someone and be called “racist” or anything similar.
Everything is “racist” now, to the left, and it seems like people are coming out of the woodwork to “cash in” on racial “insensitivity” and other such nonsense.
That certainly seems to be the case with Robert Roche, who has been an extremely vocal critic of the Cleveland Indians for years.
Roche has been on a whining spree about the mascot, as well as the NAME of the mascot, for quite some time, but after new details have emerged about Roche’s character, it appears his concern for “racism” wasn’t the motivational factor behind his “outrage.”
Roche, who is seventy years old, was indicted on federal chargesWednesday, stemming from allegations that he stole money from federal programs that were intended to help Native Americans.
So much for helping his own people, huh?
This hypocrite and con-artist was only interested in lining his own pockets, and wanted to make an easy buck; he must have figured if he made a big enough noise, the Cleveland Indians would give him some “hush money” to shut him up.
After a lengthy federal investigation, Roche was indicted on one count of conspiracy to steal federal funds, and two counts of theft from programs receiving federal funds- these are very serious charges.
According to federal prosecutors, Roche stole over $180,000 from Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grants, and another possible $77,000 for his own use.
