Paul Ryan: ‘Do you want Barack Obama to be re-elected? Then don’t vote for Ron Paul.’

Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan made a pitch to Ron Paul supporters during a  rally in Lima, Ohio, on Monday when asked why libertarians should support the Romney-Ryan ticket.

"For those of us who would have voted in the primaries for, say, Ron Paul, why should we vote for you and not, say, libertarians or Vermin Supreme and the Pony Party or something like that?" a man from the audience asked during the question and answer session.

"Do you want Barack Obama to be re-elected?" Ryan asked. "Then don't vote for Ron Paul."

He quickly added, however, that he agrees with Paul on issues concerning the Federal Reserve and government involvement in the economy:

There are many things that Ron has championed that I am a believer in. Especially liberty and sound money. Look at where we are. And this is where we all see eye to eye. We believe in limited government and economic freedom. We believe in pro-growth policies that say, You keep your money in your family's budget, in your family's business instead of sending it to Washington in the first place. That creates prosperity, freedom and jobs.

This is so obvious that a Paul vote is one for Obama, but there are still people who think they are making "A Statement" when , in fact, no one will ever know what they are saying. It's like stating, "Everyone should wear short sleeves in winter." No one will do that much less listen to it.

Ron Paul KNOWS he's got a snow balls chance in hell of getting elected so why does he not do the right thing and bow out??? He's just making it easier for o-dumb-bo. Unless he wants odumbo to succede......

Because he's a selfish, spiteful old man.

This is becoming quite the anti Paul/Constitutionalists site.

No Bobby, not a Paul anything site. He had his chance in the primaries and lost. My candidate also lost.

I am not whole heartily in support of Romney but I accept he is now our only chance in throwing the anti-constitutionalists out on the streets. A vote for Paul or anyone else and not for Romney will be a wasted vote and if I might add, in direct opposition to that which Paul himself over the years has claimed.

Face the fact that a vote for Paul is a vote for Obama. Plain and simple.

I am a strong supporter of Senator Rand Paul but I see the possibility that if Paul loses this election for Romney in the end it will not be Ron Paul who is hurt but his own son, Rand. Surely even Ron is aware of just that unless he is so power hungry that he would throw his own son to the wolves.

Bobby, please understand, it is not against the man, Ron Paul, and for sure not against the Constitution for crying out loud.  It is about the Ron Paul vote helping the Obama getting reelected.  Do you think Ron Paul's own Son is against his father and what he believes?  Rand Paul supports Romney because he doesn't want the Obama to get reelected.  I think many here would like to see Ron Paul have a position in the Romney Cabinet, for sure a very close adviser.

It is NOT anti-Paul. It is pro-common sense. Right or wrong the GOP has picked the candidate to run against the Communist. Every vote not for Romney, is a vote that is not against BO! Period. Making a "statement" vote just gets BO re-elected. Romney is not much better, but he IS better.

Yes, the problem is in the GOP Nat'l, so how do you get rid of the bad guys in the Nat'l party? Well, that will be very difficult while having to fight the Un-Constitutional EOs and policies of the current Communist administration if re-elected. It will be much easier to go after the bad guys in the nat'l GOP if we don't have to fight that battle, too. He may side with the globalists, but it will tke him almost a yr to clean out the bad guys in the Cabinet and CZARs, etc. That buys us all more time. We will be having an economic collapse in 2013 or 2014, and I want to have as much time as I can get to finish my preparations beforehand.

Excellent post, AzRanger. After November we'll have 4 years to try and make changes in the National party or form an new party.

We need to get past the Nov.6th election first...without that commie 0bama being reelected.

I don't believe for one minute that Romney is anti-American. He's just too moderate for me.

"Romney is not much better, but he IS better."  Sadly true.  Anything is better than having Islam declared the 'National Religion'.  And Shariea (sp) Law instituted throughout the Land.  Two reasons NOT to vote for Ron Paul, as much as I'd like to see him in the office:  1):  There will not be enough penetration to make it count.  2):  If there WERE enough penetration, some 'rule' or other would be 'discovered' by Obumbum and cohorts discounting the entire count.

I fear that if we really want Obumbum OUT, we have to vote Romney IN.  I'm sure he can't do as much damage as Obumbum has done in 4 years.  And we can get someone else next time, if Romney does not work out.  Romney will be kept busy for several months un-doing Obumbum's 'Executive Orders'.

We may yet learn that we needed to act upon the alegations of the 'Birthers', and dump him out on his ear.  If he proclaims 'Martial Law' after the election, he will likely declare the election nul and void.  Then we are screwed.

I,m a Paul fan and he did say in Jay Leno that he was going to run in 2016,BUT I'm voting for Romney ,he may have been my last choice but we can always hold his feet to the fire during his 4 years and then go elect a real president ,BUT O'shitforbrains has got to go , we need to vote in concervatives to the Senate & Congress and make sure that HELLary is not on the Democrap ticket in 2016 the best way for that is trial for TREASON to O'bummer and his entire cabinet especially HELLary,we have 4 years after the election to form our own party or make substantial changes in the Republican party, after all our founding fathers knew what they were doing they were political geniouses ,and gave us a Republic we just have to make the Republican party be the Republican party which right now it is in name only .  The checks and balances must be reinforced because of HUMAN NATURE !!!

There are only two choices on November 6th: Extreme left or Center. That's it.

It can't be said enough: anyone who votes for Ron Paul now is no better than the liberal voting for 0bama...in fact, they are voting for 0bama.

Paul Ryan is right. I wonder if Ron Paul fans have been infiltrated  by obama's minions.

ALERT ALERT

New York's Green Light Law - Allows Illegal Aliens To Get Driver’s Licenses

New York passed a law to allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses earlier this year but it was held up by challenges.

Now it is set to take effect this week.

In typical leftist fashion, supporters claim this is going to somehow make New York’s roads safer for everyone.

Could it really be about voting?

FOX News reports:

Illegal immigrants to be able to get driver’s licenses in NY after legal challenge fails.

Illegal immigrants in New York will able to obtain driver’s licenses starting next week after a last-minute legal challenge was dismissed — making it the 13th state to allow the practice, but one that critics say is unconstitutional.

The Green Light Law, signed by Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo earlier this year, allows anyone to apply for a driver’s license regardless of immigration status and does not require a Social Security number.

Illegal immigrants can use a combination of documents that include a valid passport from a foreign country and a valid foreign driver’s license, as long as it has been expired for less than two years.

“After waiting 18 years to have their right to drive restored, thanks to our legislature, New York can now officially join 12 other states in making driver’s licenses legally available to all residents,” New York Immigration Coalition Executive Director Steve Choi said in a statement this week, arguing that it will make roads safer and the economy stronger.

County clerks in New York have concerns and are sounding an alarm.

CBS News in Albany reports:

County clerks concerned by loopholes in Green Light law.

Undocumented immigrants now have the green light to get a driver’s license in New York…but several county clerks in the Capital Region are concerned.

Saratoga County Clerk Craig Hayner said, “We found that everything we were concerned about as far as fraud and all sorts of other things are in that bill, in that regulation and we’re very concerned.”

Hayner tells CBS6’s Lynsey Smith there are a few loopholes in the Green Light Law.

Loopholes, such as a person coming in to get their license and not having to provide their social security number.

“That could lead to criminals coming from other states, coming in and use that as a way to defraud by just simply saying they don’t have a social security number…and that’s a very dangerous loophole,” replied Hayner.

Does anyone believe this is going to make New York safer or that this is really about driving?
