I though that saying "all lives matter" was determined to be racist. ( at least in the opinion of one New York Times writer, or some other progressive rag that I can care less about)
He must have received the same sermon. I have been preaching that "We must drop the "LABELS" of Americans that will do nothing but divide us! We are not "African Americans"; "Irish/Brit Americans; Cuban or Mexican American... we are just plain "AMERICANS"!1
I'm no longer a sinner for I have been SAVED by the BLOOD of Jesus Christ the Lord of Glory! I AM A SON OF... THE LIVING GOD!
I have said this in my classroom......
All lives matter.... just some more than others.
Racial bias and bigotry takes on many forms. A nation with laws that produce PROTECTED CLASSES of people, cry out... that some lives matter more than others.
Such laws Institutionalize racism and must be removed. We either have equality under the law or we don't. Today, we don't and we will never have equality as long as we institutionalize racism by establishing inequities under the law.
