Open Borders: Kidnapping, Killing, Torture and Cartels

by Óscar Martínez

It was February 2007 when  300 people had disappeared from a town called Altar.
All were Mexican and Central American migrants who were concentrated in this town of Sonora, bordering Arizona, waiting to find a opportunity, where they could enter the United States.

The narcos, omnipotent narcos, kidnap migrants from Altar heading to the crossing points. Altar is 100 kilometers from the border, but it is the town where the migrants gather supplies before heading towards the unforgiving desert, which can be so cold that it burns or so hot that it burns.
After gathering hoodies, coats, gloves, hats, those who attempt to battle the desert travel 100 kilometers of dirt road between Altar and El Sasabe to reach the border and choose a location where they will attempt to pass. Locations with names such as, el poste verde, el carro quemado, el cerrito ( green pole,  burning car,  little mountain).

It was in that stretch of land, controlled by “Halcones” (narco lookouts), that the migrants were taken from the trucks that were transporting them to El Sasabe.
Some 15 trucks had been detained and all - drivers, coyotes, and migrants - had been kidnapped and  taken to a nearby ranch. There, at the ranch, many were tortured. Some of the migrants had their ankles shattered as a punishment for those who were attempting to walk in the desert.

I was in Altar when the kidnappings occurred. When I asked taxi drivers and drivers of vans why there was so much cruelty, kidnappings with no ransom requests, his response was simple and unanimous: the narcos were dispatching "mules" and they did not want migrants wandering around because they bring "heat" to the area.

The "burreros" are men - teenagers mostly - working as drug mules. They carry 20 kilograms of marijuana on their backs and are released into the desert, with the guidance of a coyote and trusted operative of the local kingpin.
They walk two nights through the desert of Arizona, until they reach the U.S. base, the Indian reserves of the Tohono, an autonomous territory within the United States. From there, the drugs are transferred onto trucks that will travel by road to the cities of distribution.
When narcos are going to transport an important load of marijuana, they don't want migrants wandering the desert. Migrants attract the attention of the border patrol, and that generates losses for  narcos. And narcos hate losing. That is why they want the desert to themselves. For this reason, that terrible February, about 300 migrants were kidnapped.

“Narco” is a name used to label just about anyone: a cocaine street vendor, a truck driver who transports two kilograms of cocaine in his tires, a young man from Sinaloa that works in the fields cutting tomatoes, then goes to work in Altar as a “mule”.
But here the narco had both a name and surname. The company which gets overshadowed by those five letters- Narco-, in Altar is the Sinaloa Cartel, one of its “executives” is named Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera, they call him “El Chapo”,and he was just captured in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico.

And we're told that our "Borders" are the safest they've been in decades.

"if you like your safe and secure borders, you can keep your safe and secure borders".

Ask the Indians about open borders and how well it worked for them.

also ask the European Union how their open borders are working.

people from poor countries (Bulgaria, Romania) leaving in droves for the wealthier countries, not for work, but free benefits that pay more than the skilled labor jobs of their home countries.

  • why I feel sorry for them they know what they are getting into?  they are breaking American law coming here?   They can  stay home and it will not happen

The Democrats say that when they do something it's for the good of the children. So they think that an open border that the drug Cartels can come over whenever they want carrying their poison is good for the children? There is something wrong with this picture.

And the author of this wants sympathy? They know the risks, suffer the consequences. No wonder we keep losing money. George Soros advertises for illegals to come here.

It isn't jut Hispanics who are kidnapped. murdered or raped in Arizona!  Phoenix has become the kidnap capital of the nation, and there are whites, Asian and blacks who are kidnapped, murdered or raped, too!

Also, don't ever think Mexico doesn't have MILITARY level people in the U.S, either!  They are everywhere, and Mexico doesn't care whether we know about it or not!  In fact, to Mexico, we don't count anyway!

Migrants, illegals, they may be, but in my opinion, it's barbaric what happened to these people, and many others who are slaughtered by the cartels.  Our own government bears some responsibility for not securing the boarder, and may be complicit in other ways:

my sister lives in Arizona...and she never leaves the house without her 9mm.....she has told me about the areas never to go to in Arizona......and it is now as bad as it gets.

Al Pambuena: "areas never to go" reminded me of this This is pathetic. The worlds super power (at one time any way) and our southern border is becoming a No-Man's Land.

Angry Dem Impeachment ‘Witness’: Pam Karlan Donated Thousands To Hillary And Was On Clinton’s List For Potential SCOTUS Nomination

Image result for Pam Karlan

The House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, kicked off its first impeachment circus Wednesday morning.

The four ‘witnesses’ testifying have never actually witnessed any of Trump’s dealings with Ukraine firsthand — the four witnesses are law professors offering legal analysis.

One of the witnesses the Dems rolled out is an angry Hillary Clinton donor who was on Crooked’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination.

No wonder why this unhinged, dowdy woman is so pissed off!

“Professor Pam Karlan donated thousands of dollars to Democrats and was on Hillary Clinton’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination. So she certainly has no vendetta against President Trump,” GOP Rep. Mark Walker said.

Congressman Walker also pointed out that Noah Feldman, the Dems first partisan witness in Wednesday’s hearing tweeted about impeaching Trump right after he was sworn in.

Meet Noah Feldman, House Democrats first partisan witness.

Look at the date of this tweet. He has been trying to get @realDonaldTrump impeached since 46 days into his presidency.

His reason? Trump criticized President Obama.

This is a sham impeachment with sham witnesses.

The next witness, Karlan, has donated thousands to Democrats and was on Hillary Clinton’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination.

So she certainly has no vendetta against @realDonaldTrump.

These witnesses are as serious as House Democrats impeachment case: not at all.

The entire sham show trial is stacked with partisan hacks who have wanted to impeach Trump from the moment he won in November of 2016.

Norm Eisen, the Democrats’ counsel who is blasting Trump and questioning witnesses in Wednesday’s show trial, tweeted about impeaching Trump before Donald Trump was even sworn into office!
