Obamacare Expert Rips Obama Admin, Valerie Jarrett For ‘Incompetence,’ ‘Protecting’ POTUS

In an interview with NPR, Steven Brill, author of “America’s Bitter Pill,” slammed the White House for its Obamacare launch, saying there has “never been a group of people who more incompetently launched something.”

Brill’s premiere Obamacare critique, as he tells host Terry Gross, is that the health care overhaul is “emblematic of what’s eating away at our country,” pointing directly to the politics and the “challenge of governance” it presents. Brill also told NPR that President Obama was largely protected by the likes of Valerie Jarrett, and had no idea of the issues until they ultimately reared their head.

BRILL: In every respect, this whole saga of Obamacare, the politics of it, the bitter partisan of it, the lobbying and, in this case, the challenge of governance all are emblematic of what’s eating away at our country. The incompetence in the White House — there have never been a group of people who more incompetently launched something and it’s principally because the people in the administration who knew it was going wrong went to the president directly with memos in person, to his chief of staff  and said ‘we need to bring people in from the outside to launch this,’ and the president was protected, mostly by Valerie Jarrett from doing anything. And, I guess one of the really sadder aspects of this is that nobody who knew it was going wrong spoke out and still hasn’t spoken out, even in the aftermath of the whole thing being a total bust, and for a whole year discrediting the notion that government can actually run a program.

GROSS: So you’re saying Obama was protected by his own people for knowing what was going wrong?

BRILL: He was protected, but you know what, at the end of the day he’s responsible. He kept getting all these reports, he kept getting all these green lights on his laptop on a grid, everything’s going great. Literally the night before the launch on October 1st, his chief of staff called a friend of his and said ‘we’re going to knock your socks off.’ Well, he was right about that. The president, whatever we can say about him on policy and on giving speeches, as a manager, he failed. He did not know what was going on in the single most important initiative of his administration.

I agree with one exception. John Boehner could stop almost all of Obamas agenda. Its called, The Power of thePurse. The founders built that in the Constituion to further the balance of power. But, Boehner is a self serving traitor. He is every bit as responsible as Obama for the healthcare that most Americans do not want and the nearly 5 Trillion dollars that have been pilfered from the American citizens. True, a part of that money was necessary to run the country, but no where near that amount.

Here is some good news for all. In case you are not aware of this, I think this lends a lot of hope for the possibility to get the needed 34 states behind a COS. I too feel that this is the last real chance to return to constitutional government. The ballot box has not worked as yet and it seems the only hope over the next two years are if there is a 180 by the leadership of the House of Representaives. We all know what the last resort is.

Yep, watching the whole mess in washington, is like
watching a BAD PLANET OF THE APES MOVIE. With
the APES TRYING TO TAKE OVER THWE WORLD FROM
THE HUMANS.....HUMANS WAKE UP...................

I believe that Obama is behind all of the distruction going on in america. What I believe when they are protecting Obama is that they are making sure that there is no docunebtation that leads to Obama, just like his past its like no docun=mentation, no paper that can put Obama anywhere. My question How does this happen? and how come the american people be this stupid?

Could someone help me find the link that was sent in this morning about Ron Paul. I clicked off when my neighbor came in and now I cannot seem to relocate it. Thanks.

forrest jane cline   Are you sure it was on this blog ? I have not seen it anywhere. Do you know what the subject is ? Post your reply, I will see it.

W3...thank you for responding. I am not even sure on which discussion site I saw it. I have searched ALL my incoming discussion site e-mails....even my trash...however...I'm sure I didn't knock it off. Being a fairly new computer user I do have a little trouble navigating. The person posted a very short discussion and put a link up....when I clicked on and started to read it was a VERY long article by Ron Paul describing how America got into the mess we're in. I only had a chance to read a little of it.......and.....now I'm trying to find it.

W.....I found it! It's called....Ron Paul tells it like it is......click onto this link

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-0...lies-ignorance

It's a long article but is definitely worth the read.....thanks again for trying to help.

Thanks Gal. I copied that and will read it later. I would have voted for him a long time ago and Iam really thinking about Rand Paul for 2016. The corporates and RINO's  have managed to demonize him and I will say that in the presidential primaries he really scared  a lot of people because he did get off on a rant once he was heckled. But he was talking the truth. Most people do not like the truth if it upsets them. I hear similair talk now but they are just echoing what they have heard from RINO's and others without giving what he says a thought.

W....let me know what you think of the article once you read it. I thought he was "spot on". At the time he was running for the Presidency there were a lot of young people supporting him. Others...... mostly establishment....... made him out to be a "quack"...but....it's interesting to see a LOT of what he said has proven to be true.

You can always tell when they are afraid of someone who is telling the truth. They demonize and call names.  Let me friend you and then I can email through this site after I read it. I have been telling people for years that almost every problem we have seen since 1913 is because of the Federal Reserve Act. That is when the banks took over what the Congress is supposed to be doing concerning the issue of money. Look at a dollar or any bill and it says Federal Reserve note. It is an almost worthless pirece of paper because it was backed by ten cents worth of gold or silver and now, nothing. Anyway, if you do not know that there is a lot to learn.

I guess you cant friend someone on these blogs. Well maybe I will see you on the Members online thing.

ALERT ALERT

SICK: Leprosy On The Rise In Los Angeles

Ahh, the joys of open borders and Democrat leadership.

California is not just a public toilet but now there is evidence that leprosy is on the rise in Los Angeles County.

Barack Obama changed US law in 2016 and allowed immigrants with blistering STDs and leprosy to migrate to the US.

Medscape reported:

Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is rarely seen in the United States, but cases continue to emerge in Los Angeles County, a new report says.

“Hansen’s disease still exists, and we need to educate medical students and physicians,” coauthor Dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa from Keck Medical Center of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, told Reuters Health by email.

Dr. Ochoa and colleagues identified 187 patients with the disease in a review of medical records from their leprosy clinic spanning 1973 to 2018. Most patients were Latino, originating from Mexico, and they experienced a median delay in diagnosis of more than three years, the team reports JAMA Dermatology, online August 7.

Multibacillary leprosy (MB) cases outnumbered paucibacillary leprosy (PB) cases by nearly eight to one (88.6% vs. 11.4%, respectively), and Latino patients were more likely than non-Latino patients to have MB, as were patients from Central or South America (versus other regions).

Most patients (80.7%) received multidrug therapy, and most (92.6%) received antibiotics for more than two years, especially if they had MB.

Only about half of patients (56.7%) had World Health Organization (WHO) grade 0 disability (no signs or symptoms suggestive of leprosy or disability) at the one-year follow-up, whereas 16.0% had grade 1 disability (loss of protective sensation) and 26.2% had grade 2 disability (visible deformity) at the last follow-up.

Among the patients who lost protective sensation, 87.7% (50/57) did not regain it following therapy.
