Obama to sign executive order raising minimum wage for federal contractors

President Obama, in the first of potentially many executive actions tied to his State of the Union address, will unilaterally increase the minimum wage for workers under new federal contracts to $10.10 an hour, from $7.25, in an effort to build momentum for a minimum wage hike for all Americans.

The executive order, which had been pushed by progressive Democratic lawmakers, applies to all contractors performing services for the federal government and would affect more than 2 million employees, according to an administration official.

Take our Poll:  Is Obama an Imperial President?

The president will use Tuesday night's address to press Congress to pass a Democratic plan to increase the federal wage to $10.10 over three years, then indexing it to inflation, while also raising the minimum wage for tipped workers, the official said.

press the Congress to pass, my tooshie.    This man is totally OUT OF CONTROL and must be stopped !!   Enough talk, enough polls, enough of the same nonsense that's going on in this country.   The PASSIVE action by the spineless is just as sorry as the AGGRESSIVE action of the Liberal mindless.    This MUST STOP before the country implodes.

Eventually NO income of the poor taxpayers will stop the Obscene INCOME of the Welfare USERS and RICH TAKERS.   Then who pays ??   When they (Liberals) have to support themselves ?   Then what ?

And they have to finish their contracts for the price agreed in the contract. Sweet.

One more way to collapse the whole system then let China take over.

In my time around federal jobs pay has never been an issue, the feds always over pay, always! based on some model they pull out of their Asses. Here's an idea for the feds and pres to think about "the government can not enter into a open ended contract!"  $635 million for a 1 million dollar web site, O' and still paying for the repairs, WTF!

This is going to create inflation which will increase the net wealth of people who own lots of property they rent and /or will sell.

It will hurt Americans as the cost of things will go up and the cost of housing will increase.  If you borrow money to purchase a home or car it will cost you more money for the cost of using that money.

This would actually benefit the wealthy while hurting the poor and lower middle class.

I will NOT watch or listen to Obama's bullshit tonight.  I will listen to the Republican rebuttal.  Obama will use the SOTU speech to blame the GOP opposition for all of his policies that causes the rotten economy, and have a big list of "goodies" for all the people he needs to help the Democrats stay in power.

By his publicly stating that he will bypass the Congress with executive orders on some policies, should be grounds enough for impeachment, but with Democrats in power, he will continue to ram through more and more Socialism and ignoring our Constitution, leading to a complete takeover of our Liberty! ! !

"Know thy enemy"

And try not to puke...

They should have Mark Levin give the rebuttal.

That would require sound minds to approach him.

This was always what it was about ....getting his asinine friends more money !

He has a pen and a phone. Soooooo.......let's shove his phone where the light don't shine and I guess you'll have to find someone else to stab him with that pen. I wouldn't want to be accused of stabbing with a pen an illegal alien, mooslim, half white communist anyway........

And Guess Who is going to pay for that .You bet it isn't going to be Obama This is going to hit us the TAX PAYER right between the eyes!!!

Angry Dem Impeachment ‘Witness’: Pam Karlan Donated Thousands To Hillary And Was On Clinton’s List For Potential SCOTUS Nomination

The House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, kicked off its first impeachment circus Wednesday morning.

The four ‘witnesses’ testifying have never actually witnessed any of Trump’s dealings with Ukraine firsthand — the four witnesses are law professors offering legal analysis.

One of the witnesses the Dems rolled out is an angry Hillary Clinton donor who was on Crooked’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination.

No wonder why this unhinged, dowdy woman is so pissed off!

“Professor Pam Karlan donated thousands of dollars to Democrats and was on Hillary Clinton’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination. So she certainly has no vendetta against President Trump,” GOP Rep. Mark Walker said.

Congressman Walker also pointed out that Noah Feldman, the Dems first partisan witness in Wednesday’s hearing tweeted about impeaching Trump right after he was sworn in.

Meet Noah Feldman, House Democrats first partisan witness.

Look at the date of this tweet. He has been trying to get @realDonaldTrump impeached since 46 days into his presidency.

His reason? Trump criticized President Obama.

This is a sham impeachment with sham witnesses. https://twitter.com/NoahRFeldman/status/839185127494254592

The next witness, Karlan, has donated thousands to Democrats and was on Hillary Clinton’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination.

So she certainly has no vendetta against @realDonaldTrump.

These witnesses are as serious as House Democrats impeachment case: not at all.

The entire sham show trial is stacked with partisan hacks who have wanted to impeach Trump from the moment he won in November of 2016.

Norm Eisen, the Democrats’ counsel who is blasting Trump and questioning witnesses in Wednesday’s show trial, tweeted about impeaching Trump before Donald Trump was even sworn into office!
