With Donald Trump’s rhetoric about Mexican rapists and border walls obviously on their minds, President Obama and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto made a public show of friendship and respect Wednesday.

“All too often we’re hearing rhetoric that ignores the enormous contributions that have been made by Mexican Americans and the enormous strengths we draw from the relationship,” Mr. Obama said during a meeting with Mr. Pena Nieto at a summit in Ottawa, Canada.

Mr. Obama said the U.S. “is not just a friend and neighbor of Mexico, but the very character of the United States is shaped by Mexican Americans who have shared our culture, our politics, our business.”

In an apparent reference to Mr. Trump’s pledge to force Mexico to pay for building a wall on the U.S. border, Mr. Pena Nieto said, “Isolationism cannot bring prosperity to a society.”

“We have to be very clear about the benefits of being an integrated region,” the Mexican leader said. “Isolationism is not a road towards progress. We are neighbors, we are friends.”

Mr. Trump launched his campaign for the presidency last year by vowing to get tougher with immigration on the Mexican border. He said Mexico is sending to the U.S. “people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Mexican Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz-Massieu said Mr. Trump’s rhetoric “is not only offensive or disparaging to Mexicans, I think it should be worrisome for anyone that believes that people have the same rights.”

So,now our own citizens are too weak to get along without strong Mexican citizens? Mexico the 17th richest country pays the 220 lowest minimum wage on earth...too bad Obama couldn't press Mexico's rulers to care for their strong citizens.

Key word here is Mexican AMERICANS...i.e., LEGAL immigrants! Obama is an incompetent lame duck trying to renegotiate his legacy by wheeling and dealing with the wrong crowd, signing new TRADE agreements that help the foreigners while taking away from Americans! Yesterday he met to give away OUR farm to Mexico! Then on to make new trade deals to curb weather! He'll commit US citizens to the high cost of picking up after the established elites trek around the globe in their private jets! But his worst meeting is about to come to fruition when he heads for Brussels to destroy Great Britain! Heard that right, folks.  Before Brexit, this galling incompetent went to Britain and THREATENED them that the US would no longer deal with them if they left the EU.  They ignored him (BRAVO! something we don't have the luxury of doing!!!) so now he's enroute to Brussels to meet with the EU bureacracy who are eager to kick Great Britain to the ground and make their transition near impossible!

For a lame duck president, he's got a lot of gall.  But we have a winning ticket to end the incompetency and the lousy trade deals he's currently negotiating!

The above is a must watch link to a video that should it go viral would almost assuredly get Trump elected.  All the doubts and fears about his sincerity or policies are put to rest.. .he is 100 plus percent a true patriot... This video covers years of his life's work... his public speeches and political affiliations it worth watching and sharing.

Col. Nelson,

Thank you for that post. I always felt that, NO, Donald Trump didn't always have the "true conservative" views that many of us has, but he CERTAINLY did not and was not a demorat. I am sure there were some social issues that I and many would disagree on, but overall, he is a conservative. AND, I don't think he is a liar, like all of the so called conservatives claim to be. He may not be able to get everything done he claims, but I certainly would much rather take my chances with someone who at least tries to get it done than have someone who says they will and never even tries.

Didn't these idiots notice there was this BREXIT vote in the UK last week?  And it SUCCEEDED in removing the UK from the EU??  And these "three amigos" think they can sell us on having an EU for NA???  What, were they all out playing GOLF last Friday????  So, DC isn't BAD ENUFF all by itself?????  Sigh.

Someone arrest this POS and execute him for treason!

“We have to be very clear about the benefits of being an integrated region,” the Mexican leader said. “Isolationism is not a road towards progress. We are neighbors, we are friends.”

'Isolationism' is NOT what Trump is saying - - - What Trump is saying is 'For Mexico to "honor" the Immigration Laws to enter & live in The United States of America as The United States "honor's" Mexico's Immigration Laws to enter & live in Mexico

As a 'Neighbor & Friend' of a 'benefits of being an integrated region called The United States of America', Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto SHOULD & MUST be doing everything he & his government can do to STOP the FLOOD of Illegal humans & drugs flowing across OUR - Citizens of The United States of America's Southern Border

Building a North American Community

Sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations in association with the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and the Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales.

North America is vulnerable on several fronts: the region faces terrorist and criminal security threats, increased economic competition from abroad, and uneven economic development at home. In response to these challenges, a trinational, Independent Task Force on the Future of North America has developed a roadmap to promote North American security and advance the well-being of citizens of all three countries.

When the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States met in Texas recently they underscored the deep ties and shared principles of the three countries. The Council-sponsored Task Force applauds the announced “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America,” but proposes a more ambitious vision of a new community by 2010 and specific recommendations on how to achieve it.

Transportation Corridors

One of the stated goals of the SPP is to improve the safety, security, and efficiency of the flow

goods between the three countries. The majority of trade between the United States, Canada and

Mexico is transported by land modes (truck, rail, and pipeline). U.S. freight trade with Canada

and Mexico more than doubled in value between 1996 and 2007, growing from $419 billion in

1996 to  $909 billion in 2007

Trucks are the dominant mode for transporting goods between the United States and its NAFTA partners, accounting for 61% ($555 billion) of the value of total trade in 2007.

This growth in the volume of freight is placing an increasing burden on transportation systems, and particularly the road network.

There's no way in hell Mexico is going to stop its people from invading the US.  Mexicans come into the country and immediately get on all social entitlement programs, for which they have no entitlement!, collecting welfare, food stamps, housing assistance, clothing assistance, ID's to be used unlawfully to vote.  They live here on the hog while they go out and do the piddly jobs low skilled and/or students and/or mothers and/or seniors take to get a little cash in hand.  And then the illegals send money to their families in Mexico to the tune of more than $30 BILLION ANNUALLY!

Cutting them off from jobs and entitlements will stop that flow of US cash into Mexico and THAT's how Trump has figured out that this loss to Mexico is our gain, and how Mexico will "pay" for our Wall!

Contrary to Obama's wet dreams and Hillary's fantasies, Mexico does NOT make the US stronger...it weakens us...it strips us of our rights, it steals entitlements it doesn't deserve, it takes away jobs that should be worked by Americans, it weakens our economy, creates a huge weight on our economy...not to forget that Trump was right that many of these Mexicans are gang members, drug runners, rapists, murderers, AND bringing into our country diseases we eradicated decades ago!

The US has grown Mexico's economy with the billions its people have stolen from us.  They give us nothing in return.  They refuse to assimilate and have every intention of gaining ground here so they can take back our southwest and turn it into a part of Mexico!

Obama, and Hillary, can pound sand.  Americans know better and we want our country back and will take it back in electing Trump to turn this country around, putting it back on the right track, and making it great again!  Anyone who has a problem with that can join the Mexican deportation lines!

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.

You don't get to interrupt me
