With Donald Trump’s rhetoric about Mexican rapists and border walls obviously on their minds, President Obama and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto made a public show of friendship and respect Wednesday.
“All too often we’re hearing rhetoric that ignores the enormous contributions that have been made by Mexican Americans and the enormous strengths we draw from the relationship,” Mr. Obama said during a meeting with Mr. Pena Nieto at a summit in Ottawa, Canada.
Mr. Obama said the U.S. “is not just a friend and neighbor of Mexico, but the very character of the United States is shaped by Mexican Americans who have shared our culture, our politics, our business.”
In an apparent reference to Mr. Trump’s pledge to force Mexico to pay for building a wall on the U.S. border, Mr. Pena Nieto said, “Isolationism cannot bring prosperity to a society.”
“We have to be very clear about the benefits of being an integrated region,” the Mexican leader said. “Isolationism is not a road towards progress. We are neighbors, we are friends.”
Mr. Trump launched his campaign for the presidency last year by vowing to get tougher with immigration on the Mexican border. He said Mexico is sending to the U.S. “people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
Mexican Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz-Massieu said Mr. Trump’s rhetoric “is not only offensive or disparaging to Mexicans, I think it should be worrisome for anyone that believes that people have the same rights.”
Obama is going to give California back to Mexico with a big foreign aid package & Hollywood will make only Spanish language movies. Maybe even Texas just like he gave some of our land to Russia.
25% of the federal prison population is hispanic and most of that illegal... Mexico continues to ignore its duty to regulate human trafficking in its own country and the drug cartels whose violence and illegal activity are focused on America... that is not being a good neighbor.
Mexico has failed its own citizens, refusing to enforce labor standards, living wages, and to examine a means to engage land reforms... some haciendas in Mexico are as large as the State of New Jersey and the poor are left without homes of their own. Poverty and human suffering are at oppressive levels in Mexico and her government is doing very little to alleviate it. The Patron system of commerce and social order smacks of bygone Feudal days... and the wealthy in Mexico are in fact a de-facto Aristocracy.
Mexico is not a good neighbor nor a good friend... she regularly votes against the US on issues in the UN, stands with radical elements in the disruption of US Sovereignty, human and drug trafficking, border incursions and sovereignty issues in the South West. America is doubling as Mexico's social services vending machine, pumping hundreds of billions of dollars into the maintenance of its social order... without which revolution would undoubtedly brake out in Mexico.
If there are any ties of mutual benefit it is between the Globalist and Marxist in both countries... As both, see Mexico as an ally in reaching their global goals... one world government... and the uniform control of the middle and working class.
I agree with you totally. The only thing I would expand on, is, "What is the root of all Evil?"
MONEY, and what is Mexico's biggest export? DRUGS. And since everything is about the MONEY, if we think that the elites in their government are not part of collecting and making that money from their drug distribution, just like most people think isis is not here in the US, "Let me sell you some beach front property in the Sahara."
Just like we could stop isis, if barack hussein obama wanted to, Mexico could stop the drug traffic, if they wanted to. But they won't because it puts to much money in the governments pocket.
A day will come when the American people will become tired of the appeasing vampires..., and rise up to take back our country..., just as the Brits did..., but first we will need a leader with some balls..., who is not already owned by the world elites..., Hey wait ..., isn't that Donald Trump?
Obama Administration Is Spending $75 Million Securing MEXICO’S Southern Border
President Barack Obama has slammed Donald Trump’s proposal to make Mexico pay for a border wall, but his own administration is spending $75 million for border security on Mexico’s southern border.
Since 2013, the Obama administration, through a partnership with the Mexican government known as the Mérida Initiative, has already spent at least $15 million helping Mexico secure its southern border, according to a nonpartisan Congressional Research Service report.
“With U.S. support, the Mexican government has been implementing a southern border security plan since 2013 that has involved the establishment of 12 advanced naval bases on the country’s rivers and three security cordons that stretch more than 100 miles north of the Mexico-Guatemala and Mexico-Belize borders,” Congressional Research Service wrote in a February 2016 report.
“The State Department has provided $15 million in equipment and training assistance, including NII equipment, mobile kiosks, canine teams, and training for INAMI officials in the southern border region. It plans to spend at least $75 million in that area,” CRC wrote.
INAMI is the Mexico’s National Institute of Migration. NII equipment are X-ray or gamma-ray imaging systems meant to screen cars, trucks and containers.
The State Department website calls the Merida Initiative “an unprecedented partnership between the United States and Mexico to fight organized crime and associated violence while furthering respect for human rights and the rule of law.”
Obama to Canadians: Trump, Brexit threaten our values
President Obama urged Canadians and Americans on Wednesday to resist the politics of fear and isolationism behind the Brexit vote and Donald Trump's nomination, which he said threaten inclusion, equality and tolerance.
Without naming Donald Trump, Obama attacked his policy prescriptions in an address to the Canadian Parliament, arguing that scapegoating immigrants is just an attempt for nostalgic Americans fed up with their situation "to regain control" of their lives.
Restricting trade and "giving in to protectionism," he argued, will not work because the global economy already exists and there is no way to reverse it.
Ghee... Nostalgic American's wanting to regain control of their lives... Going on to give us an ultimatum as the President... telling us a global economy already exists and there is no way to reverse it" Arrogant, Aristocratic condescension will not go far in Canada or the US.
I say look out Mr. Kenya... or should that be Indonesia ... these Nostalgic American's are about to join their English and Canadian cousins, to give you and your ilk in Congress and Parliament a swift kick in the ass... on the way out the door.
The people of the UK... that includes Canada are not predisposed to be abused by their own governments... they have a history of dealing with such arrogance in no uncertain terms. The three of you ... need to be looking over your shoulders as the people are coming and they know who is behind their national problems and it isn't ISIS...
Mexico, Guatemala fast-track delivery of illegals to U.S.
NEW YORK – Mexico and Guatemala have reached an agreement that is intended to make it easier and safer for Central Americans, including unaccompanied minors, to enter the United States illegally.
Though largely unreported in the U.S. mainstream media, the two nations agreed on July 7, in a presidential-level meeting in Mexico, to make it legal and safe for Central American immigrants, includin... en route to the U.S. border at the Rio Grande.
The agreement apparently does not recognize that the result of such trips – entry into the United States – remains illegal.
But to facilitate the program, the Mexican government announced plans to issue a new “Regional Visitor Card” that will provide documentation for the Central Americans to remain in Mexico as long as it takes to get to the United States.
Under the auspices of a “Southern Border Program,” Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Guatemalan President Otto Pérez, in a meeting in Mexico, agreed to take five concrete steps designed to “protect and safeguard the human rights of migrants who enter and transit Mexico, so as to order international routes of passage [in and through Mexico] to increase and develop the security of the region.”
The five steps in Mexican “Southern Border Program” included the following action steps:
1. Mexico established for the Central American migrants transiting through Mexico a new Mexican-government issued “Regional Visitor Card” that instructs the Mexican National Institute of Migration to recognize the holder as having been granted by the Mexican government the right to a “temporary stay” in Mexico. The purpose of the “Regional Visitor Card” is to grant Central American migrants entering Mexico across the border with Guatemala enough time and legal status to complete their journey to the United States.
2. Mexico plans to open 10 new border crossing checkpoints on the border with Guatemala and two more on the border with Belize to function as “Comprehensive Care Centers for Border Transit,” designed to register the Central American migrants with Mexican immigration authorities and to issue “Regional Cards” as part of a formal government processing allowing migrants from Central America to transit into Mexico on an official basis.
3. Mexico has decided to expand throughout the country the five medical care units originally established in Chiapas to give medical aid and temporary shelter to Central American migrants transiting through Mexico, with special attention given to unaccompanied minors.
4. Mexico has decided to create a new “Office for the Coordination of Comprehensive Social Services for Migrants on the Southern Border” to be attached to the Ministry of the Interior, tasked with coordinating interagency Mexican government efforts to provide humanitarian care and assistance provided by the Mexican government to migrants crossing the border with Guatemala, so as to guarantee respect for the human rights of the migrants.
5. Mexico pledged to continue playing an active role working with international organizations to participate in conferences organized to promote legal immigration, including continued sponsorship of forums including Mexico’s National Conference on Migration.
In the spirit that migration of Central Americans from Guatemala through Mexico will be more secure if it is more formally organized, Peña Nieto announced Mexico’s new “Southern Border Program” was a step in the right direction.
This policy amounts to planning an INVASION... mass illegal migration is an act of war and its time Congress declare it as such. It is Congress's duty to DECLARE a STATE OF WAR exist between Mexico and various Central American States that propose to send massive numbers of their indigent citizens to the US, as an invading Army... looking to wage ECONOMIC and CULTURAL WARFARE upon the United States of America.
This is not funny and should be taken as deadly serious.. treason is at work in the District of Columbia... The President told America that he would FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM AMERICA and he is doing that by Executive Order. He has effectively opened our Southern Border to assist an invasion by illegal migrants from Mexico and parts South.. Who are looking to raid our economy and national treasury in an effort to destroy America.
This whole process smacks of a Marxist insurgency... timed to overwhelm the government, our border patrol, and national social services, during an election year. It part of a wider plan to REDISTRIBUTE THE WEALTH OF America, in reparations for what Obama believes is be the Colonial rape of Mexico and Central and South America by the United States.
Make no mistake Obama is a Marxist operative and Congress is either complicit or dupes in a conspiracy to overwhelm our Nation with illegal migrants from Mexico and places South. Whenever the heads of government devise a system to invade a neighbor with million of illegal migrants it becomes imperative that the target nation declare it to be an act of war. Asymmetrical warfare doesn't need to include armed invasion. When force of arms is deemed inappropriate or inadvisable other means of invading are substituted... the goal being the same the destruction of the Nation being invaded.
Time to demand that the border be sealed.. and the President Impeached... tens of millions need to March on DC...to convene a 'People's Grand Jury' and to conduct hearings for the purpose of indicting those elements in DC which are treasonous .. to initiate due process leading to the trail of those charged with treason.
Open treason .. aiding and abetting the invasion of the United States of America.. together with the covert arming of radical Islamist, and Drug Cartels... The whole sale degradation of our national security, must end and those behind such acts properly charged and tried... America can not wait until November... as it is obvious that the party's involved are actively aimed at destroying our sovereignty as soon as possible... we can no longer wait on Congress, the people must demand by assembly and petition justice... for the ongoing criminal acts of those in the government.
Indeed what you are saying is true. Obama is aiding and abetting the invaders of the USA and it must be stopped. Illegals are not immigrants, they are INVADERS. They do not help America, they destroy America. They want to take from Americans, not work to make our country better! Our borders must be secured before many more citizens are killed by Illegal Alien Invaders who continue violating laws once here.
