Obama: Liberal trade critics ‘don't know what they're talking about’

President Obama on Thursday took a battering ram to his liberal critics on trade, saying those who claim new trade deals are bad for working families “don't know what they're talking about.”

Obama delivered a fiery speech at the Organizing for Action summit in Washington, designed to enlist his base to support the fast-track trade bill his administration says is crucial to finalizing a pair of international agreements at the top of his agenda.

The president told his allies he is pursuing a pair of new trade deals with European and Asia-Pacific nations because they are “the right thing to do,” even if they are unpopular with Democrats and labor unions.

“When people say this trade deal is bad for working families, they don't know what they're talking about,” he said. “I take that personally. My entire presidency has been about helping working families.”

Obama said the new agreements contain unprecedented protections for U.S. workers, human rights and the environment.

“We’ve got to compete,” he said. “We’re not going to stop a global economy at our shores.”

Obama is full of crap.

We all know Dictator Obama has no idea what he is saying.

EVERYTHING that the tinpot dictatta in dc likes, IS BAD NEWS FOR US!  The country is in a shambles, thanks to this implant, who we all know is a soros, aka soreass sockpuppet!  Its beyond any doubts that oblamea HATES the USA, and our Beloved CONSTITUTION, which reaffirms GOD GIVEN RIGHTS!  This dc fraud has no rights skirting and disobeying the rules which have been in place since the Founding Fathers penned the Constitution.

I take that personally - that Obanana -butt crack would say “When people say this trade deal is bad for working families, they don't know what they're talking about,”

“ 'When people say this trade deal is bad for working families, they don't know what they're talking about,”' he [Obama] said."

As usual Obama is lying.

Trade deals like this are not free trade deals.  No government interference is needed to have true free trade, since free trade is simply a voluntary, un-coerced exchange between 2 parties that agree between themselves on the terms and conditions. If a seller in one country can find buyers for his products in another country, he should be able to make that deal without any government agreement.

When a trade agreement contains, "unprecedented protections for U.S. workers, human rights and the environment. ", it is not free trade; those "unprecedented" conditions are really regulations and rules that distort the price signals to the markets and increase the costs of the traded products to the consumer (aka, inflation). Since each person is a consumer we are each impacted by artificially caused higher prices.

When prices increase there are pressures to raise wages, which is one of the reasons why there are so many demands to increase the minimum wage.

When the price of one product increases even a tiny amount, it means that anyone who buys that product  will have less money to spend on other things, and as usual, the people with the least amount of money are impacted the hardest. When people have less money to spend on products and services, there is less income for the people in the companies where those products and services are sold. When companies have less revenue, they try to cut costs, and this can cause people to lose jobs, and they are never aware of the real reason why they lost their jobs.

Truly free international trade is a good deal for both parties and for consumers.  No deals are made unless each of the two parties to the trade party agree. If they don't agree, there is no deal.  U.S. companies can buy materials and components at lower costs to use in products they export as well as getting lower prices on products they sell in the USA. International free trade increases competitiveness.

When Obama talks about unprecedented protection for American workers, he is really saying that the American consumer will be paying unprecedented high prices for goods and services that should cost less.

REVOLUTION! IT IS TIME TO STOP OUR COMMIE DIVE TO HELL!

everything fuehrer oblahblah does is bad!!!!!!!  he is EVIL and needs to be hanged, TODAY!!!!!

Gohmert: Dems Will Drag Out Impeachment — Try To Get ‘Best Socialist’ Nominated For President

During an appearance on Huntsville, AL radio’s WVNN on Thursday, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) offered his best assessment of what House Democrats were trying to accomplish with their impeachment efforts.

Gohmert told WVNN’s “The Jeff Poor Show” impeachment could tie up the Democratic Party’s presidential campaign efforts but predicted Democrats would use the occasion to nominate “the best socialist” they can.

“They would lose in the Senate,” Gohmert said on impeachment. “And besides that, the entire time it was on trial in the Senate, the Democrats who are running for president wouldn’t be allowed to campaign. That’s in the Constitution. They wouldn’t be able to campaign. I just can’t imagine them wanting to do that because if they send it to the Senate, they have now perfectly set up the scenario of 1996, where they will reassure Donald Trump is reelected as president. They don’t want to do that. They’re probably going to drag this thing out as long as they possibly can … through Iowa, through primaries — try to get the best socialist they can to be nominated.”

“Then just end up and say, ‘Now we’re close enough to the general election. We’ve thrown mud at the president through the House,’” he continued. “What they’re really doing — they’re using taxpayer funds to campaign against Trump. That’s all this is — a campaign fund that taxpayers are paying for in order to try to throw mud at the president. I’ll be surprised if they have that vote, but I can’t imagine they want to set up this president for reelection by having a trial in the Senate where they lose.”
